2011 NFL Draft E-mails - Crackhead Mail

  • From Ark:

heres the top ten Top ten 2011 1 Carolina - Dareous 2 Denver - Petersen 3 Buffalo

    --> I think I speak for everyone when I say that's one hell of a top 10.

  • From Tbone:

top ten mistakes in your draft 1 chris culiver at 198 how about gone at 94 2 denarius moore at 194 how about gone at 159 3 chimdi chekwa at 162 how about gone at 74 4 shareece wright at 146 how about gone at 94 5 joe lefeged at 142 how about gone at 124 6 niles paul at 131 how about gone at 94 7 kenrick ellis at 126 how about gone at 74 8 dontay moch at 96 how about gone at 74 9 demarco murray at 96 how about gone at 74 10 ras i dowling at 81 how about gone at 60

--> You have four players "gone at 74" - Chimdi Chekwa, Kenrick Ellis, Dontay Moch and DeMarco Murray. Naturally, the Patriots are drafting at No. 74, so Bill Belichick must be using one hell of a camcorder to get all of those guys on his team.

  • From 1788:

Dude your round 6 sucks!!!! Same for your OG rankings. UNLV guard Matt Murphy had an awesome pro day!! Do some research!!!!!!!

--> Well, at least my Rounds 1-5 don't suck.

And who the hell is Matt Murphy? I took your advice and did some research. CBS ranks Murphy as the 630th best player in this class. ESPN doesn't rank him at all. So there you go. I did some research!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • From SheepHearder:

Baaaaaaaa. Keep on following Walt! And by that I mean keep up the good work of your cut-n-paste mocks! Isn't it nice to have a subscription to "IN" on Makes your "job" a whole lot easier, huh?!

--> What the hell is a "sheep hearder?" And for someone who makes fun of ESPN constantly, I'm very disgruntled that someone thinks I "cut-n-paste" from their site.

  • From John:

the charges are going to draft julio jones.there not going for wilkerson.wilkerson will come in the second round.thats my opinion.

--> What? How the hell are the "Charges" going to get Julio Jones? And saying "Wilkerson will come in the second round" sounds kinda dirty.

  • From Nunua:

what are u talking about with the jags?

--> Weh? What are you talking about about talking about with the Jags? Ouch, I just made my head hurt.

  • From TT:

Could you possibly hate on the Titans any more than you do in this mock draft? Each of the first three picks, you mention something about how they don't care about character, if anybody will take this guy the Titans will, they don't care about the major red flags, etc. I just think you're being ignorant in acting like the Titans are the only team that has taken risks on players in the past. At the end of the day, talent trumps character the majority of the time. This strategy backfires sometimes, (see Talib from the Bucs getting arrested this week. Why no Buc hate?) but to act like Tennessee is the only team that is ever willing to take these risks is beyond narrow minded.

--> Umm... here are some write-ups from my Bucs picks:

"One team that will ignore Clayborn's character concerns is Tampa Bay."

"Jabaal Sheard is a late first-round talent, but will probably fall into the middle of Round 2 because of a previous arrest. The Buccaneers, however, have a tendency of looking past these things."

As our good friend 1788 would say, "Do some research!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Walt, I was in a bad mood after another afternoon of painting my livingroom after work (vaulted ceilings are NOT COOL when you hate the wall color). I decided to take a look at your latest mock and happened to stumble upon the hate mail over Ryan Mallett. Man. I never knew a bunch of Arkansas hillbilly rednecks could make me laugh so hard on an afternoon that I hated so much. The Ryan Mallett 4eva! comment nearly sent me off my couch (and into my paint pan).

Dont worry everyone if you look at this guys past drafts they are not very accurate you are much better off looking at scout's inc or maybe draft countdown. This guy is biased and really doesnt state facts just opinions that he reads just like us.

Not trying to deny that Mike Brown loves the bargain of a cheap player with a checkered past. However, looking at their most recent draft class, they went the other way and drafted high character guys. It would just be nice to read a mock draft without some mention of the fact that the Bengals will take a player solely because he has a shady past or character concerns, as it has said for pretty much any Bengals pick over the past 3 months.

Yea, there are definitely some questionable characters. However, I'm happy to see Adam Jones staying out of trouble. I hope he comes back strong next season, as if the bengals franchise Joseph, those two plus Hall will be a great trio. Rey Maulaulga needs to mature to become a solid MLB. His first step would be to stop hanging out with 16 year old girls in Convington....

Walt I don't discount that we might target a WR at some point in the draft but to totally ignore a defense that has huge needs for the sake of bulking up an above average offense is ludicrous. Now if the Falcons lose Tyson Clabo in FA (because we aren't going to overpay to keep him) then OT will preclude anything else providing there is even a FA period due to the CBA.

I can see WR maybe in the second round whether we trade back or take one straight up. DE has to be a primary concern due to Abraham's advancing age plus the ineffectiveness of Biermann, Anderson, & Sidbury to get pressure on opposing QB's. Mike Peterson (LB) and Brian Williams (nickle CB) are getting long in the tooth too so replacements are coming along with a suitable backup at safety with Erik Coleman's departure. TE should be an afterthought even of it is a "value" pick.

Okay, I know the standard answer to this question is; "They run a great organization." But seriously, how does New England always manage to out-think other teams (namely Carolina and Oakland over the past year) to have a multitude of draft picks?

I love how Richardson dumps fat contracts and dead weight in a penalty free year- first time ever and now he's too cheap to do anything. Glad Richardson isn't as short sighted as these bozo's.

Suffering Bengals fan... theres a reason for him making these picks. The bengals have shown over the past few years that they don't really care about character concerns by drafting and getting through FA these types of players. Some won't take talented players based off of issues but the bengals don't care about them.

"With Locker, the sky's the limit."

Yeah - if he buys a Jet Blue ticket. It's hard to think of a guy who served up more bad and got first round talk. Locker looks like a QB in his tighty whities. Beyond that, he's got nothin.'
