Green Bay Packers (1-1) at Indianapolis Colts (0-2)
Line: Packers by 9.

Friday, 8:00 ET

The Game. Edge: None.
Outcomes of preseason games rarely have anything to do with the talent on the respective teams, since the majority of the games are played by second-, third- and fourth-stringers.

Some coaches care about winning preseason games, while others do not. Thus, betting on coaches with great preseason records is an easy way to make money.

Here are recent NFL Betting Trends: Preseason Records for every coach in the NFL.

***

This line looks crazy, but it can be justified. The Colts don't give a damn about preseason games. In fact, they battled the Packers in Week 3 of the exhibition last year. Green Bay rolled, 59-24.

    @Gordy,

those trends you mention are the exact reason i woulda been giddy to bet on the Chiefs in the past, but i've come to realize that those juicy #s eventually regress towards the mean. so rivers is averaging 2.3 turnovers per game, well i don't think he's gonna end up with 20+ turnovers on the road this year, do you? similarly, KC just forced 6 turnovers last week, which means they're not exactly due to be runnin back a bunch of pick-sixes tonight... these things tend to even out, is all i'm saying.

perfect example: Week 1, remember when Baltimore had 7 takeaways vs Pittsburgh? the following week they laid an egg, losing to the Titans and forcing only 1 turnover.

tebow is not a loser but he had his superbowl last week against the fins. hard to duplicate that plus we were talking lions here. fits my teams coming off a loss and and other team off a win formula. Saints fit that formula well too. Also the vikings game.

take the chargers folks. (-3) 2 good reasons-loss to the jets and the chiefs coming off a shutout victory over the raiders. As I said before teams coming off a loss play better than teams coming off a win. (more focused) Oh yeah 1 more reason walt picked the chiefs to win. lol As for you peeps following walts picks shame on u either fade him or don't wager at all. In fact if you faded him this week you could have cashed in.

If your thinking of backing SD, Phil Rivers has accounted for a whopping 7 turnovers in only 3 road games this year, that definitely scares me. I may just play the Under. Not sure how I feel about a tease with KC and Under. I will most likely wait til 15 or 30 mins before kickoff to post my play. I did hit 2 units last week MNF on Jax to the under tease

The more I look at the game the more I'm liking the Under 45 play. 80% of the action is on the over and I have no idea why. Both offenses are struggling and both defenses are playing well. The first half play of under 22.5 also looks tasty to me. Like Gordy said the Chargers might come out sputtering and take a quarter or so to get settled in.

    Chargers 27 Chiefs 10

It's worth noting that I'm down 11 units from yesterday, so take what I say with a grain of salt. My algorithm needs calibrating =D

@Chad @Satan....I agree on SD, the Chiefs have beat no one special and Cassel didnt complete 50% of his passes aginst Oakland. Also Gates usually destroys the Chiefs, the only thing that has me timid is arrowhead on MNF plus Halloween. Its possible SD comes out frazzled with a few false starts. Possibly a tease with the KC and the Under? Can SD run away with this one? I'm just really unsure about tonight especially after getting clobbered yesterday......

Tough to handicap tonight's game. Neither team has beaten a quality opponent all season. I do think the Chargers have a better team and a better QB. I also think they lost last week against a Jets team that was desperate for a win and got it, while KC coasted against a Raiders team that had QB issues all day. But KC has a young defense that seems to be getting better every week and could be an X factor tonight.

That said, I like SD -3. I normally don't like to bet with the public but I think the public got this one right.

It's also worth noting that the Under has hit almost every MNF game this year.

Two winning picks dude? out of all your predictions, you came up with two winning picks?

One would literally have better odds picking teams randomly.

    you're a joke.
