This is a 2023 NFL Mock Re-Draft of Rounds 2 and 3 for Friday evening’s NFL Draft coverage. With all of the trades that will go down, I don’t expect to get many of these right (I nailed eight in my Re-Draft Rounds 2-3 in 2018), but it’s still fun to speculate where the top prospects will go on Day 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Carolina Panthers: Trey Benson, RB, Florida State
The Panthers don’t have much talent at running back, as Chuba Hubbard can easily be upgraded.

Arizona Cardinals: Zak Zinter, G, Michigan
Arizona really want to address the interior of the offensive line, as Jordan Morgan was an option for them at No. 27.
Washington Redskins: Ja'Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas
The Redskins should find an upgrade over Logan Thomas sometime soon. They signed Zach Ertz, but he’s only a short-term solution.
Ja’Tavion Sanders has mismatch athleticism and speed.
New England Patriots: Blake Fisher, OT, Notre Dame
The Patriots have massive pass-protection issues that they must address.
Blake Fisher played right tackle at Notre Dame, but probably would have been on the blind side if it weren’t for Joe Alt. He’s athletic enough to play left tackle.
Los Angeles Chargers: Roman Wilson, WR, Michigan
The Chargers have obvious needs at receiver they must address.
Roman Wilson has plus speed and quickness, and he’s a quality route-runner.
New York Giants: Spencer Rattler, QB, South Carolina
The Giants need to develop a young quarterback behind Daniel Jones, given Jones’ constant incompetence.
Spencer Rattler has big-time upside with plus arm strength and athleticism, but has erratic decision-making.
Arizona Cardinals: Cooper Beebe, G, Kansas State
The Cardinals are desperate for help in the interior of their offensive line.
Cooper Beebe is excellent in pass protecion.
New York Jets: Brenden Rice, WR, USC
The Jets don’t have much at receiver outside of Garrett Wilson, so they’ll have to find help at the position.
Brenden Rice is a polished route-runner with nice size.
Dallas Cowboys: Ja'Lynn Polk, WR, Washington
The Cowboys have no second receiver at the moment, so this is something they’ll have to address on Friday.
Atlanta Falcons: Kamren Kinchens, S, Miami
The Falcons have a stud safety in Jessie Bates, but they need some other help at the position.
Kamren Kinchens has great instincts and ball skills.
Chicago Bears: Calen Bullock, S, USC
The Bears signed Kevin Byard, but he’s just a short-term option.
Calen Bullock is an instinctive player who makes splash plays.
Denver Broncos: Jaylen Wright, RB, Tennessee
The Broncos have been looking into running backs, which isn’t surprising, given Javonte Williams’ injury history.
Jaylen Wright has plus quickness and decent receiving ability.
Las Vegas Raiders: Mike Sainristill, CB, Michigan
As great as the Raiders defense was this past season, they still struggled versus outside receivers.
Mike Sainristill made many clutch plays during the championship run.
Washington Redskins: Austin Booker, DE, Kansas
The Redskins lost two talented pass rushers last year, so they’ll need to find someone else who can rush the quarterback.
Austin Booker needs to bulk up for the NFL, but has some positive edge-rushing ability.
Atlanta Falcons: Jonah Elliss, OLB/DE, Utah
At long last, the Falcons get their edge rusher. Hopefully Roger Goodell doesn’t interfere with this pick either.
Cincinnati Bengals: Max Melton, CB, Rutgers
The Bengals have a weak secondary, so they’re expected to draft a cornerback in the first three rounds.
Max Melton is a terrific athlete who is incredibly fast that receivers can’t outrun him.
Seattle Seahawks: Sedrick Van Pran, OG, Georgia
Seattle’s interior offensive line is a mess. Some stability is needed.
Sedrick Van Pran is solid in both run blocking and pass protection.
Indianapolis Colts: T.J. Tampa, CB, Iowa State
The Colts had interest in a cornerback at No. 15, so they could draft one at some point during the second day.
Los Angeles Rams: Calean Carson, CB, Wake Forest
The Rams added some cornerback talent this offseason, but they could still use another player at the position.
Calean Carson has plus speed, size, and movement skills.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Nehemiah Pritchett, CB, Auburn
The Steelers obtianed Donte Jackson via trade, but cornerback is still an area that could be addressed in rounds 3-5.
Cleveland Browns: Javion Cohen, G, Miami
Joel Bitonio is usually a great guard, but he turns 33 in October and didn’t have his best year in 2023.
Javion Cohen is a strong interior lineman with plenty of power.
Houston Texans: Jaylin Simpson, S, Auburn
The Texans need to bolster their weak secondary.
Jaylin Simpson is a very instinctive safety, but he needs to bulk up.
Dallas Cowboys: Cedric Gray, LB, North Carolina
Leighton Vander Esch can’t stay healthy, which is why one team removed him from their draft board several years ago.
Cedric Gray was one of the top linebackers in college football last year.
Green Bay Packers: Blake Corum, RB, Michigan
A.J. Dillon was horrible as a replacement for Aaron Jones this past season. The Packers need a better No. 2 running back behind Josh Jacobs.
Blake Corum runs with great strength and balance.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Christian Haynes, G, Connecticut
The Buccaneers have a weak interior offensive line that must be upgraded on more than one occasion.
Christian Haynes has some size limitations for the NFL.
Arizona Cardinals: Bralen Trice, DE, Washington
The Cardinals could use another pass rusher to beat the 49ers.
Bralen Trice has been a great pass rusher for Washington. He has big upside.
Green Bay Packers: Justin Eboigbe, DT, Alabama
The Packers have been weak against the run for quite some time.
Justin Eboigbe is limited athletically, but was very productive at Alabama.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Johnny Wilson, WR, Florida State
Both of Tampa’s receivers 30-plus or nearing that age bracket, so some young eventual replacements are needed.
Johnny Wilson is a massive receiver who might have to become a tight end in the NFL.
Baltimore Ravens: Marist Liufau, LB, Notre Dame
The Ravens will have to replace Patrick Queen, who signed with the Steelers this offseason.
Marist Liufau is an extremely athletic and fast linebacker.
San Francisco 49ers: Adisa Isaac, DE, Penn State
The 49ers could double up on defensive linemen to make sure they generate as much of an interior pass rush as possible for the next time they battle Patrick Mahomes.
Adisa Isaac is a good run defender with a plus frame. His pass rushing needs to improve.
Buffalo Bills: Tez Walker, WR, North Carolina
No one should be surprised if the Bills double up on receivers.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Christian Mahogany, G, Boston College
The Jaguars need to give Trevor Lawrence better protection so he’s not like the Black Knight from the Monty Python movies at the end of the season.
Cincinnati Bengals: Jermaine Burton, WR, Alabama
The Bengals will be looking for a receiver early on, given that Tee Higgins may leave soon.
Jermaine Burton didn’t produce at Georgia, but bad quarterback play hurt him.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Luke McCaffrey, WR, Rice
The Steelers were thin at receiver even before trading away Diontae Johnson.
The younger brother of Christian McCaffrey was highly productive at Rice last year.
Los Angeles Rams: DeWayne Carter, DT, Duke
Aaron Donald has retired, so the Rams will need even more defensive line help.
DeWayne Carter is a stout run defender who flashed some pass-rushing upside.
Washington Redskins: Julian Pearl, OT, Illinois
Here’s more offensive line help for the Redskins, who need to make sure their new quarterback is protected.
Julian Pearl is a versatile, athletic blocker.
