2024 NFL Mock Re-Draft: Round 2

Adonai Mitchell

Last update: Friday, April 26, 2024.

This is a 2024 NFL Mock Re-Draft of Rounds 2 and 3 for Friday evening’s 2024 NFL Draft coverage. With all of the trades that will go down, I don’t expect to get many of these right – I nailed eight in my Re-Draft Rounds 2-3 in 2018 -, but it’s still fun to speculate where the top prospects will go on Day 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

NFL Team Logo for Bills Buffalo Bills: Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia Image for UGA

Relax, Buffalo fans, your team will get a receiver soon – perhaps with this pick! Charlie mentioned Ladd McConkey and Keon Coleman as possibilities for the Bills with this pick.

Ladd McConkey projects as a gritty slot receiver at the next level.

If you haven’t visited the site in a while, you may have noticed the new look. Yes, after nearly two decades, we’ve finally re-designed our site to be more modern. This was not done on a whim, but rather out of necessity because of what occurred during the 2023 NFL Draft. Our site crashed during the entire first day of the draft, which was disastrous for our revenue stream because we make more money during the draft than any other time. The site crashed because a line of code conflicted with the old format of the site, so we had to transition to this new look.

Because we lost so much money during the draft, I want to point out that you can really help support the site by paying for the ad-free version of it at the top. It’s $7.99 per month, but you’ll get a super-fast site with no ads. If you don’t want to pay, please spread the word about the site through word of mouth. That would also be a big help!

Also, if you’d like to support the site, check out my book! It’s available on Amazon, and it’s called A Safety and a Field Goal.

Take a look:

A Safety and a Field Goal

You can buy it here. It has some NFL Draft-related topics, so like I said, if you want to support the site, this is a great way to do it!

NFL Team Logo for Patriots New England Patriots: Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon Image for ORE

It almost doesn’t matter who’s at quarterback; the Patriots need to improve their dreadful receiving corps.

Troy Franklin has great size and the ability to be an underneath receiver.

NFL Team Logo for Cardinals Arizona Cardinals: Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois Image for ILL

The Cardinals already drafted Darius Robinson, but they could be interested in another defensive lineman because they’re so weak in that area.

NFL Team Logo for Redskins Washington Redskins: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama Image for ALA

The Redskins had one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL last year, so they’ll have to focus on upgrading their secondary.

NFL Team Logo for Chargers Los Angeles Chargers: Kris Jenkins, DT, Michigan Image for MICH

The Chargers have great edge talent, but they could stand to improve the interior of their defensive line.

Like his father, Kris Jenkins Jr. is a disruptive interior presence.

NFL Team Logo for Titans Tennessee Titans: Junior Colson, LB, Michigan Image for MICH

The Titans have such issues at linebacker that they signed Kenneth Murray to be a starter. That won’t end well.

Junior Colson is a big linebacker who defends the run well.

NFL Team Logo for Panthers Carolina Panthers: Zach Frazier, C, West Virginia Image for WVU

The Panthers paid big money to two guards in free agency. Now, they need an upgrade at center, as Austin Corbett has had two knee surgeries in two years.

NFL Team Logo for Redskins Washington Redskins: Kiran Amegadjie, OT, Yale Image for

It would be irresponsible of the Redskins to draft a quarterback at No. 2 and not provide him with a better left tackle than what they have now.

Kiran Amegadjie is a bit of a project, but he’s a big and lengthy prospect with a good skill set.

NFL Team Logo for Packers Green Bay Packers: Cooper DeJean, S/CB, Iowa Image for Iowa

The Packers easily could have drafted Cooper DeJean at No. 25. Instead, they get a great value by taking him in the second round.

NFL Team Logo for Texans Houston Texans: Ennis Rakestraw Jr., CB, Missouri Image for Mizz

The Texans could stand to bolster their secondary, given how much receiving talent was added to the AFC South recently.

NFL Team Logo for Falcons Atlanta Falcons: Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia Image for UGA

The Falcons don’t have a very good group of cornerbacks outside of A.J. Terrell.

Kamari Lassiter has the upside to be a cover cornerback in the NFL.

NFL Team Logo for Raiders Las Vegas Raiders: Patrick Paul, OT, Houston Image for Houst

The Raiders really wanted Paris Johnson in the 2023 NFL Draft, but the Cardinals sniped him off the board via trade. Here’s another tackle.

Patrick Paul has plus athleticism and length.

NFL Team Logo for Saints New Orleans Saints: Cam Hart, CB, Notre Dame Image for ND

The Saints struggled at cornerback across from Marshon Lattimore, so the position could be addressed soon.

Cam Hart is a big cornerback who limited Marvin Harrison Jr.

NFL Team Logo for Colts Indianapolis Colts: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas Image for Tex

The Colts have made it clear that they want to find another receiver to help Anthony Richardson. This is a great opportunity for them.

NFL Team Logo for Giants New York Giants: Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota Image for MINN

The Giants lost Xavier McKinney, so they have a huge need at safety.

Tyler Nubin is a big safety who is physical and instinctive.

NFL Team Logo for Jaguars Jacksonville Jaguars: Maason Smith, DT, LSU Image for LSU

Jacksonville needs as much talent as possible up front to pressure the talented quarterbacks in their division.

Maason Smith has a big and lengthy frame and great athleticism, but he missed most of the ’22 season with a torn ACL.

NFL Team Logo for Bengals Cincinnati Bengals: T'Vondre Sweat, DT, Texas Image for Tex

Cincinnati had one of the worst run defenses in the NFL this past season.

T’Vondre Sweat is a massive player and a great athlete for a player his size. He has drawn comparisons to Jordan Davis.

NFL Team Logo for Eagles Philadelphia Eagles: Jalyx Hunt, DE, Houston Baptist Image for Houston Baptist

It would be an upset if the Eagles emerged out of the second round without an offensive or a defensive lineman.

NFL Team Logo for Steelers Pittsburgh Steelers: Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky Image for

Diontae Johnson is gone, so the Steelers will need to find a new receiver.

Adonai Mitchell has mismatch size and speed. He has huge upside.

NFL Team Logo for Rams Los Angeles Rams: Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon Image for ORE

The Rams need to shore up their offensive line by adding one more interior player.

NFL Team Logo for Eagles Philadelphia Eagles: Javon Bullard, CB/S, Georgia Image for UGA

The Eagles had horrific play from their cornerbacks this year. They’ll need to address the position on multiple occasions this offseason.

Javon Bullard is a safety or a nickel cornerback who projects similarly to Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

NFL Team Logo for Browns Cleveland Browns: Chris Braswell, OLB, Alabama Image for ALA

The Browns have a bunch of aging pass rushers, so they can afford to draft a young player who can get to the quarterback.

NFL Team Logo for Dolphins Miami Dolphins: Braden Fiske, DT, Florida State Image for FSU

The Dolphins need defensive line help in the wake of losing Christian Wilkins and others this offseason.

Braden Fiske is a quick, athletic interior pass rusher.

NFL Team Logo for Cowboys Dallas Cowboys: Jonathon Brooks, RB, Texas Image for Tex

Tony Pollard was a huge bust, so the Cowboys will be looking for a new running back.

NFL Team Logo for Buccaneers Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Edgerrin Cooper, LB, Texas A&M Image for TA&M

The Buccaneers lost Devin White this offseason. Lavonte David doesn’t have much time remaining. Linebacker help is needed.

Edgerrin Cooper is an explosive linebacker with huge upside.

NFL Team Logo for Packers Green Bay Packers: Cole Bishop, S, Utah Image for

The Packers have issues at safety that they needed to address earlier.

Cole Bishop makes plays all over the field.

NFL Team Logo for Texans Houston Texans: Payton Wilson, LB, N.C. State Image for NC State

The Texans lost plenty of linebacker talent, so they’ll need to find replacements – starting with this selection.

NFL Team Logo for Bills Buffalo Bills: Marshawn Kneeland, DE, Western Michigan Image for

Marshawn Kneeland wasn’t overly productive at Western Michigan, but looked good at the Senior Bowl.

NFL Team Logo for Lions Detroit Lions: Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State Image for FSU

Jameson Williams has been a big disappointment thus far. The Lions need another receiver with Josh Reynolds gone.

Keon Coleman is a massive receiver with quickness and good ball skills.

NFL Team Logo for Ravens Baltimore Ravens: Roger Rosengarten, OT, Washington Image for Wash

The Ravens lost three offensive linemen this offseason, so they’ll have to find some blockers in the early rounds.

Roger Rosengarten protected Michael Penix’s blind side well. He has the potential to play guard as well.

NFL Team Logo for 49ers San Francisco 49ers: Ruke Orhorhoro, DT, Clemson Image for Clem

The 49ers love addressing the trenches early, so look for them to do that after using their first-round pick on a receiver.

NFL Team Logo for Chiefs Kansas City Chiefs: Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU Image for BYU

Andy Reid almost has to make this pick. He loves bolstering the trenches, and the offensive line was an issue last year.
