This is a 2021 NFL Draft Re-Mock. I’m going back to 2021 and re-distributing all of the 2021 NFL Draft prospects to all of the teams in the 2021 NFL Draft order. This 2021 NFL Draft Re-Mock is based on how these players have performed in their careers, as well as the needs each team had back in 2021.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars 2021 NFL Mock Draft Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson Clemson
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Trevor Lawrence, QB
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Trevor Lawrence, QB

    Although Trevor Lawrence hasn’t quite lived up to the insane expectations that were placed on him entering the 2021 NFL Draft, I think he will still be the pick in this redo. Lawrence is the only viable starting quarterback in this class, and he’s coming off a great 2025 season. There’s a decent chance Lawrence will continue to improve now that he has competent coaches and players supporting him.

    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Zach Wilson, QB
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Zach Wilson, QB

    I wrote this in my 2021 NFL Mock Draft: “The Jets made a very foolish decision to beat the Rams (and the Browns.) Now, they have a dilemma. Do they select the second-best quarterback in the class or stick with Sam Darnold?”

    Taking Zach Wilson seemed like a no-brainer at the time, but imagine where the Jets would be had they stuck with Darnold and selected someone like Micah Parsons instead.

  3. San Francisco 49ers San Francisco 49ers: Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama Alabama
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Trey Lance, QB
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Trey Lance, QB

    The 49ers moved up to No. 3 in a deal with the Dolphins. They obviously did so for a quarterback, but in this scenario, they can acquire arguably the best cornerback in the NFL. Of the top three players available – Ja’Marr Chase and Penei Sewell being the other two – Surtain is the only one who fills a need the 49ers had entering the 2021 NFL Draft.



  4. Atlanta Falcons Atlanta Falcons: Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU LSU
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Kyle Pitts, TE
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Kyle Pitts, TE

    There’s no way the Falcons would select Kyle Pitts over one of the many talented receivers available at this juncture. The Falcons had Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley on the roster at this time, but Jones was entering his 11th year, so he was in the process of slowing down.

  5. Cincinnati Bengals Cincinnati Bengals: Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon Oregon
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Ja’Marr Chase, WR
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Ja’Marr Chase, WR

    In my mock draft, I wrote that this was a close call between Ja’Marr Chase and Penei Sewell. Chase is off the board in this redraft, but Sewell is still available to protect Joe Burrow.



  6. Miami Dolphins Miami Dolphins: Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, USC
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Jaylen Waddle, WR
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Penei Sewell, OT

    The Dolphins ended up selecting the second receiver off the board in this draft. That happened to be Jaylen Waddle, but in the redo, it’s either Amon-Ra St. Brown or Nico Collins.

  7. Detroit Lions Detroit Lions: Nico Collins, WR, Michigan
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Penei Sewell, OT
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Jaylen Waddle, WR

    The Lions reportedly tried to trade up for Ja’Marr Chase. That didn’t pan out, but I’m willing to bet that they’d take Nico Collins in this situation, though I’m sure they’d prefer Amon-Ra St. Brown because of all the success they’ve had with him.



  8. Carolina Panthers Carolina Panthers: Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina South Carolina
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Jaycee Horn, CB
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Jaycee Horn, CB

    We’ll keep this pick the same. Jaycee Horn has been an excellent cornerback for the Panthers, so I don’t think Carolina would do anything differently. If I had to change this pick, I’d move it to Christian Darrisaw.

  9. Denver Broncos Denver Broncos: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech Virginia Tech
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Patrick Surtain II, CB
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Justin Fields, QB

    Patrick Surtain is off the board, so the Broncos will have to look elsewhere. In this scenario, the pick would be Christian Darrisaw. The Broncos didn’t have anyone listed at right tackle entering the 2021 NFL Draft.



  10. Dallas Cowboys Dallas Cowboys: Milton Williams, DT, Louisiana Tech
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Micah Parsons, DE
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Patrick Surtain II, CB

    Micah Parsons is gone, but the Cowboys would still address their front seven. Defensive tackle was a huge weakness for the Cowboys; their two starting defensive tackles entering the 2021 NFL Draft were Trysten Hill and Neville Gallimore.

  11. New York Giants New York Giants: Creed Humphrey, C, Oklahoma
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Kadarius Toney, WR
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: DeVonta Smith, WR

    The offensive line has been a huge issue for the Giants over the years. Center was a big problem at this time, as New York needed a huge upgrade over Nick Gates. The Giants would draft the best center in the NFL at this juncture.

  12. Philadelphia Eagles Philadelphia Eagles: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama Alabama
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: DeVonta Smith, WR
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Micah Parsons, LB

    Here’s another pick that would be the same. DeVonta Smith has been an excellent receiver for the Eagles. He caught a deep pass in the Super Bowl to help them vanquish the Chiefs. I don’t know why Philadelphia would take another player.

  13. Los Angeles Chargers Los Angeles Chargers: Rashawn Slater, OT/G/C, Northwestern Northwestern
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Rashawn Slater, OT
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Alijah Vera-Tucker, OT

    Another pick that would remain the same. Rashawn Slater tore his patellar tendon prior to the 2025 season, but he has otherwise been a great blind-side protector for Justin Herbert.

  14. Minnesota Vikings Minnesota Vikings: Jaelan Phillips, DE, Miami Miami
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Christian Darrisaw, OT
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Rashawn Slater, OT

    I listed Jaelan Phillips as a secondary possibility for the Vikings entering the 2021 NFL Draft. The Vikings needed to improve their edge rush at this time, though there was an injury concern with Phillips heading into the pros.

  15. New England Patriots New England Patriots: Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami Miami
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Mac Jones, QB
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Kwity Paye, DE/DT

    No Mac Jones for the Patriots. Instead, they could go after an edge rusher to help them take down Josh Allen. With this pick, the Patriots would be able to steal a valuable player from Buffalo.

  16. Arizona Cardinals Arizona Cardinals: Trey Smith, OT/G, Tennessee
    Actual 2021 NFL Draft Pick: Zaven Collins, DE/OLB
    My 2021 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Zaven Collins, DE/OLB

    Arizona’s starting guards at this time were an aging Justin Pugh and someone named Brian Winters, whoever that is. Trey Smith is one of the better guards in the NFL, so he’d be a great pick for Arizona at No. 16.
