New Mexico at UCLA.
Line:UCLA by 14.5.
Friday, 10:00 p.m.
This spread makes no sense to me. New Mexico is not in a power conference, but composed itself well in a 17-point loss to Michigan. UCLA, meanwhile, has gotten blown out by Utah and lost to UNLV. New Mexico has a solid offense that should do well against UCLA’s poor defense.

Oregon at Northwestern.
Line: Oregon by 27.5.
Saturday, 12:00 p.m.
Northwestern lost 23-3 to Tulane a couple of weeks ago. How are they going to contend with Oregon, a dominant team that has demolished its competition thus far? Northwestern’s quarterback is a turnover machine and will be battling an Oregon defense that has surrendered just eight points per game this year, with one opponent being a power-conference foe.

Pittsburgh at West Virginia.
Line: Pittsburgh by 7.
Saturday, 3:30 p.m.
Pittsburgh is 2-0, but faced two cupcakes who are 0-4. I like the home underdog in this bitter rivalry, especially given that West Virginia has a ballhawking secondary that could get some turnovers from a pass-heavy Panthers offense.

USC at Purdue.
Line: USC by 21.
Saturday, 3:30 p.m.
We’ve bet USC twice and won both times, and we’re going to continue to do so. Purdue is 2-0, but has battled Ball State and Southern Illinois. The Boilermakers have a rebuilt roster that just isn’t ready to take on a great team like USC. The Trojans are just way too good on both sides of the ball for Purdue to handle.

South Florida at Miami.
Line: Miami by 17.5.
Saturday, 4:30 p.m.
We’re having deja vu all over again because this is similar to a bet we won last week. We bet South Florida over Florida and won with the Bulls outright. I don’t think South Florida will get the upset again, but they should be able to cover. Miami’s offense could be a bit limited by South Florida’s defensive front, and the Hurricanes don’t often cover as large home favorites anyway.
