Oklahoma State at Oregon State.
Line: Oklahoma State by 13.5.

Friday, 10:30 p.m.

*** I must preface these college football picks by saying that I don’t bet on them. While I wager on my own NFL, NBA and MLB picks, I do not gamble on college football. I don’t like the idea of betting on kids, and I don’t know enough of the recruits coming into each school to determine how the new players will perform. I will post five college football picks each week, as usual, because of popular request. But just keep in mind that I would not recommend betting on them. ***

The computer model says that this line is not high enough after it dropped from -16.5 to -13.5. It says Oklahoma State should be -23. This makes sense, as Oregon State tends to be a train wreck every year. Oklahoma State is rebuilding, but the team appears to have way more talent than the Beavers.

College Football Pick: Oklahoma State -13.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200

Toledo at Kentucky.
Line: Kentucky by 11.5.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

Toledo is getting a ton of public money, which is exciting news because the computer model says this line should be Kentucky -21. We’re getting great value with the Wildcats, whose defense should be able to limit whatever Toledo wants to do.

Ole Miss at Memphis.
Line: Memphis by 4.5.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

An SEC team is an underdog to Memphis, so I was hoping we’d see more money on Ole Miss. The action is even, but Memphis still seems like a good play because the spread is too low. The Tigers should be -9, per the computer model.

College Football Pick: Memphis -4.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200

Boise State at Florida State.
Line: Florida State by 6.5.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

Is anyone surprised that about three-quarters of the action is on Florida State? The Seminoles are overrated almost every year, and my criticism of the Willie Taggart hiring seems on point as of this moment. With a heavy storm headed toward Florida, the Seminole players could be distracted against this quality Boise State squad.

College Football Pick: Boise State +6.5 -105 (3 Units) — Correct; +$300

Fresno State at USC.
Line: USC by 13.5.

Saturday, 10:30 p.m.

USC is another team that has always been overrated since Pete Carroll’s departure. USC is getting two-thirds of the action, which sounds good to me because Fresno State should be +3.5, per the computer model.
