Rather than quickly listing start em and sit em players on my Week 6 NFL Picks page, I thought I’d devote a page for this. Follow @walterfootball for updates.







San Francisco 49ers (2-3) at Seattle Seahawks (3-2)

Start Em:
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Seahawks
    The 49ers have some major defensive issues.

  • Obvious Starts:
    SF: RB Jordan Mason, WR Deebo Samuel, WR Brandon Aiyuk, TE George Kittle.
    SEA: RB Kenneth Walker, WR D.K. Metcalf.

    Sit Em:
  • No one of note






    Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4) vs. Chicago Bears (3-2)

    Start Em:
  • Tank Bigsby, RB, Jaguars
    The Bears are weak to the run, and Tank Bigsby is fantastic.

  • Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jaguars
    Brian Thomas Jr. looks like the real deal. This is a tough matchup, but I’m still playing Thomas.

  • Obvious Starts:
    JAX: TE Evan Engram (if he plays).
    CHI: WR D.J. Moore.

    Sit Em:
  • Travis Etienne, RB, Jaguars
    Tank Bigsby is now getting more carries than Travis Etienne.

  • Christian Kirk, WR, Jaguars
    Christian Kirk’s target share will decrease with Evan Engram returning.

    Washington Redskins (4-1) at Baltimore Ravens (3-2)

    Start Em:
  • Obvious Starts:
    WAS: QB Jayden Daniels, WR Terry McLaurin.
    BAL: QB Lamar Jackson, RB Derrick Henry, WR Zay Flowers.

    Sit Em:
  • No one of note

    Arizona Cardinals (2-3) at Green Bay Packers (3-2)

    Start Em:
  • Dontayvion Wicks, WR, Packers
    Dontayvion Wicks is a great option with Christian Watson sidelined.

  • Obvious Starts:
    ARZ: QB Kyler Murray, RB James Conner, WR Marvin Harrison Jr, TE Trey McBride.
    GB: QB Jordan Love, RB Josh Jacobs, WR Jayden Reed.

    Sit Em:
  • No one of note

    Houston Texans (4-1) at New England Patriots (1-4)

    Start Em:
  • Tank Dell, WR, Texans
    Tank Dell’s role should continue to increase, especially if Nico Collins is out.

  • Obvious Starts:
    HOU: QB C.J. Stroud, RB Joe Mixon (if he plays), WR Stefon Diggs.
    NE: None.

    Sit Em:
  • Dalton Schultz, TE, Texans
    Dalton Schultz has been the forgotten man in this offense.

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) at New Orleans Saints (2-3)

    Start Em:
  • Rashid Shaheed, WR, Saints
    We just saw what Darnell Mooney did to Tampa Bay’s defense.

  • Obvious Starts:
    TB: WR Mike Evans, WR Chris Godwin (PPR).
    NO: RB Alvin Kamara, WR Chris Olave.

    Sit Em:
  • Taysom Hill, TE, Saints
    Taysom Hill scored two touchdowns in the previous game. Don’t chase that.

    Cleveland Browns (1-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-2)

    Start Em:
  • Obvious Starts:
    CLE: WR Amari Cooper.
    PHI: QB Jalen Hurts, RB Saquon Barkley, WR A.J. Brown, WR DeVonta Smith, TE Dallas Goedert, Eagles Defense.

    Sit Em:
  • Jerome Ford, RB, Browns
    The Eagles should be better against the run out of the bye.

    Najee Harris looks like he’s 300 pounds.
