2025 NFL Draft Stock Up
Tommi Hill, CB, Nebraska
Hill has impressed some team sources with his early play in 2024 and his 2023 tape. They say he has good size, instincts, ball skills, and coverage ability. They wonder about his overall speed and explosiveness, but they feel he is a natural football player. Thus far in 2024, Hill has seven tackles with an interception.
Mansoor Delane, CB, Virginia Tech
Through two games in 2024, Delane has an interception, four tackles, and three passes broken up. Delane is an instinctive football with a quality skill set for the next level. Thus far in 2024, he has an interception with three passes defended and four tackles. In 2023, he had one interception, one pass batted, and 54 tackles. He had eight breakups with an interception in 2022 as a freshman. Delane has good size and upside to continue improving as he gains experience.
Nick Martin, LB, Oklahoma State
Team sources say they have been impressed with Martin in the early going of the 2024 season. In 2024, Martin has gotten off to a strong start, averaging over 11 tackles per game. He has 34 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, and two passes broken up. Last year, Martin was a tackling machine for the Cowboys with 140 stops, six sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. The 6-foot, 220-pound Martin will fit as a Will linebacker in the NFL. He could be playing his way into the early rounds.
Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
On the road at Wisconsin, Milroe dominated the Badgers with his arm and legs. He completed 12-of-17 passes for 196 yards with three touchdowns through the air. On the ground he ran for 75 yards and two scores. For the NFL, Milroe still needs development as a pocket passer. Milroe is a good kid working hard to improve his knowledge of the game. He still has more to learn for knowing coverages, blitz schemes, and building his pre-snap skills for putting his team in the right play. Milroe has all the tools to be a good starter. He throws an accurate deep ball with excellent loft and placement. Milroe is a dangerous runner with speed and power. Milroe could end up grading out as a first-round pick in the 2025 or 2026 NFL Draft.
Keon Sabb, S, Alabama
Alabama has produced a steady amount of good defensive back prospects for the NFL, and once again, they have a good one for 2025. Safety Keion Sabb was all over the field against Wisconsin. His instincts are superb, as he gets in on a lot of tackles. Sabb had tackles for a loss, firing off the line to get to ball carriers in the backfield, and broke up some passes against the Badgers. Sabb looks like a future early-round pick.
2025 NFL Draft Stock Down
Nic Scourton, DE, Texas A&M
The Gator’s offense was pathetic in the first half as they struggled to get first downs, and the Aggie’s offense dominated at moving the chains, so Scourton did not have a lot of opportunities. However, he was quiet and a non-factor in his snaps. In third-and-long situations, Scourton tried a variety of pass-rushing moves like a spin or power, but none were working to have Scourton break free. On top of Scourton not impressing, the Gators do not have a good offensive line, but they were able to shut down Scourton. Scourton has not looked like a first-rounder in his two games with the Aggies, but it still is very early in the season, and he has time to turn things around.
Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State
Team sources say they have yet to be impressed in their tape study of Burke. They feel that Burke does not have a bad skill set, but he hasn’t turned into a good corner in coverage. Some sources felt that Burke was more of an NFL backup, and that would make him a mid-round or day-three pick. There is a lot of season left to play, but as of now, this highly touted Buckeye corner has not impressed some team evaluators.
