I’ll be posting 2025 NFL Draft Grades for every pick. Why not grade all of the trades?
Seahawks acquire S Nick Emmanwori (No. 35) from Titans for DE Olu Oladejo (No. 52), S Kevin Winston (No. 82)
I like this trade for both teams, but the Seahawks won this deal. Nick Emmanwori could have gone as high as No. 13 with no complaints. Seattle wasn’t going to get him at No. 52, so trading up made so much sense. He’ll be a big upgrade.
The Titans could have used Emmanwori – they took a safety with the pick they acquired – but they’re a team with tons of needs everywhere, so assembling depth makes sense for them.

Dolphins acquire G Jonah Savaiinaea (No. 37), No. 143 (5th) from Raiders for No. 48 (traded to Texans), Caleb Rogers (No. 98), No. 135 (4th)
The Seahawks were smart to trade up for Nick Emmanwori, but I wasn’t as crazy about the Dolphins’ decision to trade up for Jonah Savaiinaea. While I like Savaiinaea, he wasn’t much better than the other guards available on Day 2. The second day was loaded with guard talents, so the Dolphins could have remained at No. 48 and drafted someone similar. Thus, the Raiders won this deal, as they were able to acquire a third-round pick and move up eight spots on Day 3.
Grade for Dolphins – C

Bills acquire DT T.J. Sanders (No. 41), DE Landon Jackson (No. 72), No. 240 (7th) from Bears for OT Ozzy Tapilo (No. 56), DT Shemar Stewart (No. 62), No. 109 (4th)
This seems like a fairly even trade as far as compensation is concerned, but I don’t think the Bills necessarily needed to trade up for T.J. Sanders. There were a number of talented defensive tackles available, and I don’t think Sanders is much better than the other players at the position. Still, I like the duo of players Buffalo acquired, though at the same time, I like what Chicago obtained, as Ozzy Trapilo should have gone earlier than the 56th pick.

Texans acquire OT Aireontae Ersery (No. 48) from Raiders for WR Jack Bech (No. 58), Charles Grant (No. 99)
The Texans surrendered a third-round pick to move up only 10 spots in the second round. This seems like a high price to pay for that. However, I loved the Aireontae Ersery pick, as he could be the long-term answer at left tackle, so I’m not going to punish Houston too much for this trade.
However, the Raiders won this deal. Picking up a third-round pick to just move down 10 spots in the middle of the second is insane value.

Panthers acquire DE Nic Scourton (No. 51), Nos. 85 (traded to Chiefs), 122 (4th), 208 (6th) from Broncos for No. 57 (traded to Lions), Pat Bryant (No. 74), Nos. 111 (4th), 230 (7th)
OK, I don’t know why these teams needed to trade eight picks between each other. It’s almost like they traded these picks for the sake of it. And it’s not like the Panthers made this huge move; they shifted up just six spots.
Of the players selected, Nic Scourton is much better than Pat Bryant, though he was chosen 23 picks earlier. I’m going to give the Panthers the slight edge here, but this is an even deal.

Lions acquire G Tate Ratledge (No. 57), No. 230 (7th) from Broncos for R.J. Harvey (No. 60), No. 130 (4th)
The Lions are not having a great draft. I don’t understand this trade. So, they moved up only three spots late in the second round, so they moved down 100 slots on Day 3 in exchange for that? That seems awfully excessive, and it’s not like they even obtained a coveted player.
I don’t like R.J. Harvey, but the Broncos defnitely won this trade. Moving up three rounds to move down three spots at the end of the second round is terrific value.

Lions acquire WR Isaac TeSlaa (No. 70), No. 182 (6th), 2026 6th-round pick from Jaguars for No. 102 (traded to Vikings), two 2026 3rd-round picks
I don’t understand what the Lions are doing. They had a horrible trade with the Broncos, and this one is just as bad. Giving up two third-round picks to move up from the end of the third round to the beginning of the third round is an overpay. And that’s not even factoring in the player they drafted. Isaac TeSlaa was considered a day-three prospect. The Lions may have been able to obtain him at their 102nd pick.
The Jaguars easily won this trade. They did a great job of picking up some ammo for the 2026 NFL Draft with those dual third-round selections.

Panthers acquire DE Princely Umanmielen (No. 77) from Patriots for Nos. 85 (traded to Chiefs), 146 (5th)
The Panthers saw some talented edge rushers come off the board, so they correctly identified the need to trade up. They moved up eight spots and surrendered a fifth-round pick, which seems like a fair price. Princely Umanmielen is a talented edge rusher who could have gone in the second round.
I’m giving this win to the Panthers, but that doesn’t mean that the Patriots did poorly. This was a solid trade for them to pick up another resource.

Chiefs acquire CB Nohl Williams (No. 85) from Patriots for C Jared Wilson (No. 95), 2026 4th-round pick
This seems like an even trade as far as compensation is concerned. Surrendering a fourth-round pick in the future to move up 10 spots in the third round is about right. However, I like Jared Wilson better than Nohl Williams, so I’m going to give the nod to New England in this deal. I don’t hate Williams at all, but Wilson should have gone earlier.

Jaguars acquire G Wyatt Milum (No. 89), No. 236 (7th) from Texans for Nos. 102 (traded to Vikings), 142 (5th)
It seems as though the Jaguars won this trade as far as compensation is concerned. They traded up 13 spots in the third round, and all they did was drop from the fifth round to the seventh. That’s a good deal for them, especially when it allowed them to acquire a protector for Trevor Lawrence. The Texans, meanwhile, traded away the pick they obtained from Jacksonville, so we don’t know what they’re ultimately getting from this trade yet.

Falcons acquire S Xavier Watts (No. 96) from Eagles for No. 101 (traded to Broncos), 2026 4th-round pick
The compensation is even here, but I love the prospect the Falcons obtained by moving up five spots. Xavier Watts was a second-round prospect, so he was a steal toward the end of the third frame. He’ll be a dynamic play-maker in Atlanta’s secondary, so he’ll almost certainly be viewed as being worth it for a 2026 fifth-round pick. This isn’t a bad deal for the Eagles, but Atlanta won this trade.

This trade looks even for both trades. I don’t even have a lean on which prospect will be better. I don’t really have anything interesting to say about this deal, so I’m going to give both teams the same grade.

Broncos acquire DE Sai’Vion Jones, No. 134 (4th) from Eagles for Nos. 111 (4th), 130 (4th), 191 (6th)
This trade seems about right for both teams. In exchange for moving up 10 spots in the middle of the draft, the Broncos moved down four spots later and surrendered a sixth-round pick. Teams can never have enough edge rushers, so I understand why they would move up for an edge rusher. All in all, this is a fair trade for both teams.

Jaguars acquire WR/CB Travis Hunter (No. 2), Nos. 104 (4th), 200 (6th) from Browns for Mason Graham (No. 5), Nos. 36 (2nd), 126 (4th), 2026 1st-round pick
In the movie Draft Day, the Browns general manager fleeced a young Jaguars general manager during the NFL Draft. Fiction became reality, as the Browns fleeced a young Jaguars general manager in real life. If this doesn’t prove that we’re in a simulation, I don’t know what will.
At any rate, the Browns were able to land a 2026 first-round pick and a second-round selection just to move down three spots. This was an excellent move for a team that had tons of needs. The Jaguars, meanwhile, made a very bizarre move to surrender so many resources to move up for a non-quarterback. Travis Hunter will probably be great, but the same can be said of Mason Graham and the other options at No. 5.

Giants acquire QB Jaxson Dart (No. 25) from Texans for Nos. 34 (2nd), 99 (3rd), 2026 3rd-round pick
When the Giants made this trade, I joked on the Live Draft Blog that it would make more sense for the Giants to trade up for Nick Emmanwori for a quarterback. It wasn’t really a joke though because the quarterbacks in this class beyond Cam Ward are very underwhelming.
As it turns out, the Giants have major egg on their face because they almost certainly could have stayed put, or a least moved up one or two spots to secure Jaxson Dart. Giving up two third-round picks isn’t the end of the world for most teams, but the Giants have needs at almost every position, so they couldn’t afford to surrender resources like this.
The Texans, meanwhile, did well to pick up two third-round picks. Their fans might be frustrated right now, but they’ll get the same sort of player at No. 34 that they could have obtained at No. 25.

Falcons acquire DE James Pearce (No. 15), No. 101 (3rd) from Rams for Nos. 46 (2nd), 242 (7th), 2026 1st-round pick
My first take for the Falcons was that they surrendered too much, but the more I thought about this trade, the more I liked it. The Falcons were going to draft James Pearce at No. 15 had Jalon Walker not fallen to them. They had to be shocked to see him fall to No. 26 because they thought he had the best tape of any defensive end in this class not named Abdul Carter or Walker. So, instead of drafting next year, they’re using that first-round pick to obtain Pearce now. In exchange, they’re dropping from No. 46 to 101 this year, but given that they’re in a position to win now, I think it’s worth it.
I also like this trade for the Rams. They turned their late third-round pick into a second and just delayed their first-round pick for a season. Next year’s draft class should be better this one, and there’s always a chance that things don’t work out with the Falcons because of mass injuries.

Eagles acquire LB Jihaad Campbell (No. 31) from Chiefs for Nos. 32 (Josh Simmons), 164 (5th)
I don’t know why the Eagles do this, but this has been commonplace for them. They always move up one pick to secure the guy they like. It’s never a huge deal, but it almost seems unncessary to me. I’d love to know why Howie Roseman thinks he needs to do this all the time.
Regardless, the Chiefs definitely won this trade. While the Eagles landed a superb prospect in Jihaad Campbell, they gave up a fifth-round pick for no reason. Kansas City secured a fifth-round selection for nothing because it was going to draft Josh Simmons at No. 31 or 32.
