Arizona vs. Oregon.
Line: Oregon by 14.5.

Friday, 9:00 p.m.

As a disclaimer, don’t go nuts with my college football picks. I’m much better at picking NFL games (at least I used to be). Follow @walterfootball for updates.

This spread seems too high. That’s because Arizona has owned Oregon recently, and the Ducks typically choke in big games. Neither of Arizona’s losses this year have been by more than 10 points, so why would that suddenly change?

College Football Pick: Arizona +14.5 (1 Unit) — Incorrect; -$110

SMU at Connecticut.
Line: Connecticut by 12.5.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

Both of these teams are awful, as their four losses the past two weeks have combined for about 120 points. SMU is winless though, so in a battle of incompetence, the more desperate team could prevail.

College Football Pick: SMU +12.5 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$100

Iowa State at TCU.
Line: TCU by 33.5.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

NFL teams like the Raiders will quit for a game, but not for an extended period of time because the players are always trying to get new contracts. That’s not the case in college football. Most of Iowa State’s athletes won’t be doing anything at the next level, so that team has checked out. TCU has crushed most of its inferior opponents this year, so that’ll probably happen again.

College Football Pick: TCU -33.5 (3 Units) — Correct; +$300

Missouri vs. Alabama.
Line: Alabama by 14.5.

Saturday, 4:00 p.m.

Alabama is the best team in the country, and after battling through a gauntlet of ridiculously tough SEC West games, I can’t imagine them having much trouble with the winner of the lowly SEC East.

College Football Pick: Alabama -14.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200

Florida State vs. Georgia Tech.
Line: Florida State by 4.

Saturday, 8:00 p.m.

Florida State is not one of the top four teams in the country. The Seminoles have nearly dropped games to crap opponents like Florida, Miami and Boston College. Georgia Tech isn’t great, but it should be able to cover this number and perhaps finally knock off the Seminoles.

Follow me @walterfootball to see if anything changes.

College Football Pick: Georgia Tech +4 (3 Units) — Correct; +$300
