Miami at Duke.
Line: Miami by 7.

Friday, 7:00 p.m.

Duke has been very impressive this year. They’ve clobbered Northwestern and won at North Carolina, and it doesn’t seem like people understand how good they are yet. The Blue Devils’ defense should give Miami lots of problems, and I think they could win this game outright.

Vanderbilt at Florida.
Line: Florida by 10.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

Florida easily could’ve lost to Tennessee and Kentucky. Had that happened, what would this spread be? This line is inflated, and I’m going to take the value with the double-digit underdog. Vanderbilt, by the way, has lost to Florida the past two years by a combined nine points!

Indiana at Penn State.
Line: Penn State by 17.5.

Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

Indiana could be undefeated right now if it held on to its lead against Ohio State in the opener. Things fell apart for the Hoosiers in the second half, but they made their point – that they’re going to be a competitive team this year. I think they’ll keep it close against a Penn State squad that shouldn’t be ranked fourth in the country (and I’m saying this as an alumnus.)

College Football Pick: Indiana +17.5 (3 Units) — Incorrect; -$330

Georgia at Tennessee.
Line: Georgia by 8.

Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

Georgia is getting a ton of hype for crushing Mississippi State, but the team nearly lost to Notre Dame the week before. There’s not much shame in that, but it just goes to show that the Bulldogs aren’t invincible, and a competitive team like Tennessee should keep it close. The Vols have now had two weeks to recover from their crushing defeat to Florida, so I expect them to be at the top of their game in this SEC battle.

College Football Pick: Tennessee +8 (2 Units) — Incorrect; -$220

Ohio State at Rutgers.
Line: Ohio State by 30.

Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

I don’t understand why this spread is so high. Rutgers has been competitive with both Washington and Nebraska, and the Buckeyes don’t exactly look like a dominant team. In fact, if Ohio State didn’t have a crazy second half against Indiana, it would be 0-4 against the spread this year.
