Texas State at Arkansas State.
Line: Arkansas State by 25.5.

Saturday, 3:00 p.m.

As a disclaimer, don’t go nuts with my college football picks. I’m much better at picking NFL games (which is saying a lot). Follow @walterfootball for updates.

This is effectively my fifth game because I wanted to cover all of the conference championships. While browsing the games for a fifth pick, I came across this contest, and Texas State stood out to me. Texas State has been competitive in every contest, so I think it stands a good chance of covering this ridiculously high spread.

College Football Pick: Texas State +25.5 (1 Unit) — Incorrect; -$110

Florida vs. Alabama.
Line: Alabama by 17.5.

Saturday, 4:00 p.m.

Everyone in the world is betting Alabama. The public is, anyway. The sharps haven’t taken the Gators yet, but I think they will when this spread gets large enough. This number should continue shooting up, which will present solid value for the Gators.

College Football Pick: Florida +17.5 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$100

USC vs. Stanford.
Line: Stanford by 4.5.

Saturday, 7:45 p.m.

Here’s one game the sharps are definitely on. They’ve been betting Stanford, and it’s easy to see why. The Cardinal is simply the better team, and USC hasn’t been too impressive overall. The Trojans have just one cover since Halloween, and they were blown out by Oregon. The disparity is just too great here.

College Football Pick: Stanford -4.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200

North Carolina vs. Clemson.
Line: Clemson by 5.5.

Saturday, 8:00 p.m.

I’m going to continue fading Clemson. The Tigers almost lost to a terrible South Carolina team, so how will it handle North Carolina, which is much better? The sharps agree, as they’re pounding the Tar Heels. This will prove that a team isn’t the best just because it’s undefeated.

College Football Pick: North Carolina +5.5 (2 Units) — Incorrect; -$220

Michigan State vs. Iowa.
Line: Michigan State by 3.5.

Saturday, 8:00 p.m.

I’ve been saying that Iowa is overrated, and I stand by that. However, I think the Spartans are even more overrated. They shouldn’t be favored by more than a field goal in this matchup, and the only reason they are is because of recency bias. They blew out a horrible Penn State team and beat the Buckeyes in rainy, windy conditions, even though Ohio State was guilty of the worst play-calling ever. I’m not buying Michigan State, and I think this is a nice fade spot.

Follow me @walterfootball to see if anything changes.

College Football Pick: Iowa +3.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200
