Western Michigan at Eastern Michigan.
Line: Western Michigan by 27.

Saturday, 2:00 p.m.

As a disclaimer, don’t go nuts with my college football picks. I’m much better at picking NFL games (at least I used to be). Follow @walterfootball for updates.

I like fading teams that might quit at the end of the season. That’s exactly how the NFL and college football are different. The pros are all playing for their next contract, while these college kids at Eastern Michigan don’t have much of a football future ahead of them. The talent disparity is just too great here, and Western Michigan could have this covered by halftime.

College Football Pick: Western Michigan -27 (3 Units) — Correct; +$300

Rice at Marshall.
Line: Marshall by 21.5.

Saturday, 2:30 p.m.

Rice is a nice little team that has played well, but it’ll be overmatched against superior Marshall. The Herd will go undefeated this year, as they’ve slaughtered most of their competition. If only college football had a playoff so that Marshall could test itself against elite competition.

College Football Pick: Marshall -21.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200

Mississippi State at Alabama.
Line: Alabama by 8.5.

Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

Uhh… Alabama by 8.5? Why? The sharps have actually bet this up from -7 to -8.5, so we’re getting great value at +8.5. Mississippi State has plenty of motivation here, as the players will feel disrespected that they are such massive underdogs.

College Football Pick: Mississippi State +8.5 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$100

UNLV at BYU.
Line: BYU by 23.5.

Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

I love betting good teams coming off a bye. BYU has had plenty of time to rest and prepare for a UNLV squad that has gotten blown out plenty of times this year.

College Football Pick: BYU -23.5 (2 Units) — Incorrect; -$220

Florida State at Miami.
Line: Florida State by 2.5.

Saturday, 8:00 p.m.

All Florida State has to do is win. Easy, right? The public thinks so, as they are pounding the hell out of the Seminoles at an 85-percent clip. People are ignoring the fact that Florida State hasn’t played well this year, squeaking out victories against overrated competition like Notre Dame. Miami has a good chance of winning this game.

Follow me @walterfootball to see if anything changes.

College Football Pick: Miami +2.5 (2 Units) — Incorrect; -$220
