Iowa at Wisconsin.
Line: Wisconsin by 7.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

As a disclaimer, don’t go nuts with my college football picks. I’m much better at picking NFL games (at least I used to be). Follow @walterfootball for updates.

I was on the Badgers last week, and while they did cover against Hawaii, I have to say that they were unimpressive in doing so. They bogged down in the red zone too often against a bad team, and I think it could cost them versus an undefeated Iowa squad that has beaten the spread in three of four of its games.

College Football Pick: Iowa +7 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$100

Texas at TCU.
Line: TCU by 15.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

This is a classic case of overrated versus underrated. TCU hasn’t covered against any 1-A opponent it has battled thus far, and the team nearly lost last week. Texas, meanwhile, has been a lot better since being embarrassed in the opener, which is all that most people remember. Notre Dame was just that good. The Longhorns have played closer to their foes since, so I think they can cover this number.

College Football Pick: Texas +15 (2 Units) — Incorrect; -$220

North Carolina at Georgia Tech.
Line: Georgia Tech by 7.5.

Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

I don’t understand this spread. North Carolina is playing better football than Georgia Tech right now. It shouldn’t be a touchdown underdog. The Yellow Jackets were exposed by Notre Dame, yet the oddsmakers haven’t adjusted yet.

College Football Pick: North Carolina +7.5 (2 Units) — Correct; +$200

Ole Miss at Florida.
Line: Ole Miss by 7.5.

Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

I’ll give Ole Miss another chance. I was wrong taking them last week, albeit for just one unit. I’ll make it one unit again, as I think the team, with nothing to look ahead to or back on this time, should have an easy time dispatching the Gators. There’s just too big of a difference in talent level.

College Football Pick: Ole Miss -7.5 (1 Unit) — Incorrect; -$110

Notre Dame at Clemson.
Line: Pick.

Saturday, 8:00 p.m.

Expectations are super high at Clemson, which means only one thing: The team will lose in heart-breaking fashion. The Tigers are 3-0, but what’s their most impressive win? At Louisville? Yuck. Notre Dame is way more battle tested at this point, and if that’s not enough, the Irish simply have better talent. The visitor is the better team in this matchup, so taking it at pick ’em seems like a smart move.
