Utah State at Arkansas State.
Line: Arkansas State by 2.5.

Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

As a disclaimer, don’t go nuts with my college football picks. I’m much better at picking NFL games (at least I used to be). Follow @walterfootball for updates.

This game reminds me of the Cardinals-Giants tilt in the NFL this past Sunday. Utah State was favored by four until it was announced that Chuckie Keeton would be out. Keeton hadn’t been playing well anyway, so I don’t see the need for the 6.5-point movement. Arkansas State should not be favored.

College Football Pick: Utah State +2.5 (1 Unit) — Incorrect; -$110

Ball State at Toledo.
Line: Toledo by 14.

Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

I don’t understand this spread at all. Toledo has been blown out in its previous two games, while Ball State hung with Iowa two weeks ago, nearly pulling the upset. Ball State then lost to Indiana State, but they were clearly flat after putting everything they had into their game against the Hawkeyes. They’ll have more energy this week.

College Football Pick: Ball State +14 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$100

Georgia Southern at Southern Alabama.
Line: Southern Alabama by 3.

Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

Another confusing spread. Southern Alabama wasn’t competitive with Mississippi State at all last week, while Georgia Southern has been a combined seven points awat from beating both Georgia Tech and N.C. State. Georgia southern’s a pretty good team.

College Football Pick: Georgia Southern +3 (1 Unit) — Correct; +$100

Miami at Nebraska.
Line: Nebraksa by 7.5.

Saturday, 8:00 p.m.

OK, enough games featuring clown schools. Miami-Nebraska should be closer than what most people think. Everyone remembers what happened to the Hurricanes in their season-opening blowout loss to Louisville, but they’ve rebounded nicely since. The Huskers, meanwhile, have to be tired after flying around all over the place. Remember that they nearly lost to McNeese State two weeks ago. The sharps haven’t forgotten, as they’ve been betting on Miami all week.

College Football Pick: Miami +7.5 (2 Units) — Incorrect; -$220

Oregon at Washington State.
Line: Oregon by 24.

Saturday, 10:30 p.m.

I have a feeling Oregon is about to take off and blow out their weaker conference foes. They’ll start with Washington State, which is a pretty crappy team. I’ll be surprised if this game is remotely close.

Follow me @walterfootball to see if anything changes.

College Football Pick: Oregon -24 (3 Units) — Incorrect; -$330
