By the way, the second-annual Walter/Joker Annual Challenge is on, as I’ll be competing with the Joker’s College Picks. We each pick five games and see who does the best each week.

South Florida (6-2) at Cincinnati (5-2)
Line: South Florida by 2.5.

Thursday, 8:00 ET

Same formula as always. I love live home dogs on weeknights on national TV with the action going the other way. People are pounding the favorite, yet the line hasn’t moved off 2.5.

By the way, I liked Marshall over Houston (same situation), but I didn’t realize that game was going on so early in the week. College football on Tuesday night? What are these people smoking?

Prediction: Cincinnati 27, South Florida 24
Cincinnati +2.5 (3 Units) — Correct; +$300
Cincinnati 24, South Florida 10

Kansas State (4-4) at Kansas (5-3)
Line: Kansas by 10.5.

Saturday, 12:00 ET

I think the last time Kansas was a double-digit favorite over Kansas State was in the 1700s. Seriously – the Wildcats have always been big favorites until now.

With that in mind, I like Kansas State to cover. This is a huge rivalry, so this means more to the Wildcats. Just a small play, as there is no history to go off of to see how double-digit dogs fare in this series.

Prediction: Kansas 45, Kansas State 38
Kansas State +10.5 (1 Unit) — Incorrect; -$110
Kansas 52, Kansas State 21

Eastern Michigan (2-7) at Western Michigan (6-2)
Line: Western Michigan by 18.

Saturday, 2:00 ET

Another huge rivalry. Because these teams hate each other so much and compete for each others’ recruits, the underdog typically fares well. Since 1996, a double-digit underdog in this series is 4-2 against the spread.

Prediction: Western Michigan 27, Eastern Michigan 17
Eastern Michigan +18 (2 Units) — Incorrect; -$220
Western Michigan 31, Eastern Michigan 10

Iowa State (2-6) at Oklahoma State (7-1)
Line: Oklahoma State by 31.

Saturday, 3:30 ET

Oklahoma State played really well last week, holding its own against Texas. It’s a shame though; maybe the Cowboys could have beaten the Longhorns at home or even on a neutral field. Alas, they’ll never get to prove it because college football is a sham.

The Cowboys’ defeat means that they no longer have a shot at the national title. That’ll depress them enough that they’ll sleepwalk through this game. They’ll win, but they won’t cover.

By the way, despite Iowa State’s record, the Cyclones played Kansas tough recently, losing just 35-33. Oklahoma State, meanwhile, hasn’t beaten a high-major opponent by more than 28 points all year. This includes 39-13 victory over pathetic Washington State.

Prediction: Oklahoma State 41, Iowa State 17
Iowa State +31 (5 Units) — Incorrect; -$550
Oklahoma State 59, Iowa State 17

North Texas (0-8) at Western Kentucky (2-6)
Line: Western Kentucky by 17.

Saturday, 4:30 ET

North Texas is bad. Really bad.

You may say, “Duh! They’re 0-8!”

Well, aside from losing every game by double digits, half of North Texas’ team just tested positive for drugs. We’re not talking steroids; we’re talking weed, crack, coke, LSD, cough syrup… even cat urine.

So, who ordered the drug tests? The team’s own head coach! I seriously doubt the players are going to try hard for this narc.

Prediction: Western Kentucky 42, North Texas 10
Western Kentucky -17 (2 Units) — Incorrect; -$220
North Texas 51, Western Kentucky 40
