Virginia Tech at Pittsburgh.
Line: Virginia Tech by 3.5.

Thursday, 7:00 p.m.

As a disclaimer, don’t go nuts with my college football picks. I’m much better at picking NFL games (which is saying a lot). Follow @walterfootball for updates.

Virginia Tech is getting some hype for beating Miami, but people have quickly forgotten that the Hokies lost to Syracuse in the previous game. Pittsburgh is a solid team that has enough offensive firepower to stay with anyone, so I like the Panthers here as home dogs.

West Virginia at Oklahoma State.
Line: West Virginia by 4.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

I was wrong on the West Virginia game last week, but that’s not going to stop me from fading the Mountaineers again. This is a team that nearly lost to Kansas State and BYU, yet the line is inflated in their favor because they’re undefeated. Oklahoma State has a high-octane offense and will be able to keep pace with West Virginia.

Boise State at Wyoming.
Line: Boise State by 14.

Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

I said it last week, and I’ll say it again: Boise State is overrated. The Broncos have nearly lost to BYU, Colorado State, Utah State and Oregon State, yet they’re ranked No. 13 because of their record. Records mean absolutely nothing, yet the public doesn’t realize that, so let’s take the two touchdowns with a solid Wyoming squad.

College Football Pick: Wyoming +14 (3 Units) — Correct; +$300

Tennessee at South Carolina.
Line: Tennessee by 13.5.

Saturday, 7:15 p.m.

South Carolina has been a great underdog bet this season, and I think I’ll take them once more. This number is way too high, as Tennessee has been overrated all year. The Vols have gotten lucky in some games, but their fortune has seemingly run out.

College Football Pick: South Carolina +13.5 (3 Units) — Correct; +$300

Clemson at Florida State.
Line: Clemson by 5.

Saturday, 8:00 p.m.

I don’t get why the Seminoles are five-point underdogs in this matchup. I have been betting against them somewhat frequently because I’ve felt they’ve been overrated, but that’s clearly a thing of the past now. Clemson, on the other hand, nearly lost to N.C. State with no game to look ahead to. The Tigers are now the overvalued squad, so I like Florida State to cover this matchup.
