  1. Arizona Cardinals: Chris Lindstrom, G, Boston College
The Cardinals must add to their pass protection. Josh Rosen was horrible last year, but he also had no help from his anemic offensive line. Arizona must make sure that Kyler Murray has better blocking.

Chris Lindstrom is solid in all aspects and showed more athleticism than many anticipated at the combine.

Pick change; previously Elgton Jenkins, C/G

  2. Indianapolis Colts: Johnathan Abram, S, Mississippi State
There was talk about the Colts going after Landon Collins, but they haven’t signed a safety. Perhaps this is a position they’ll address early in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Johnathan Abram is a forceful, physical run defender who has good coverage skills.

  3. Oakland Raiders: Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson
The Raiders have a big need at cornerback, but they can wait until this selection to obtain one, given all of the corner value available in Round 2.

Trayvon Mullen is a 6-foot-2 corner who was highly recruited. However, he has disappointed team sources, so it sounds like he’ll be taken in the Round 2-4 range.

Pick change; previously Greedy Williams, CB

  4. San Francisco 49ers: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
There was talk that the 49ers would attempt to trade for Antonio Brown, but the other Bay Area team obtained the former Steeler diva instead. The 49ers are expected to use an early pick on a receiver.

Marquise Brown is a small receiver (5-11, 162), but he can bolt for the end zone any time he gets his hands on the ball.

Pick change; previously Rock Ya-Sin, CB

  5. New York Giants: Justin Layne, CB, Michigan State
Still no edge rusher, but this is a position the Giants sorely need to address, as they struggled mightily against the pass last year.

Justin Layne has nice size at 6-3, 185, and he was able to answer speed concerns at the combine. We recently featured him on the 2019 NFL Draft Stock Report.

Pick change; previously Will Grier, QB

  6. Jacksonville Jaguars: Irv Smith Jr., TE, Alabama
The Jaguars need to give Nick Foles a No. 1 receiver to throw to, as they currently don’t have any potent downfield threats. They also lack a viable tight end in the wake of the Austin Seferian-Jenkins bust signing.

Irv Smith Jr. is a dangerous threat after the catch, and he has good route-running skills and nice hands.

Pick change; previously Deebo Samuel, WR

  7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Florida
Buccaneer fans really wanted Derwin James in the 2018 NFL Draft. It turns out that they knew more about the draft than the team’s own general manager, which is sad. Perhaps Tampa can finally find an upgrade at safety at this juncture.

Chauncey Garnder-Johnson played nickel for the Gators at one point, but then took on a larger role. He’s a great athlete and possesses terrific upside as a dynamic safety.

  8. Buffalo Bills: A.J. Brown, WR, Ole Miss
The Bills added some upgrades to their receiving corps this offseason, but they still lack a No. 1 target. They could obtain one with this pick.

A.J. Brown was a great weapon for Ole Miss the past couple of years despite their turmoil. Unlike his more-athletic teammate, D.K. Metcalf, Brown was actually productive while in school.

Pick change; previously Irv Smith Jr., TE

  9. Denver Broncos: Dalton Risner, C/G/OT, Kansas State
The Broncos signed Ja’Wuan James this offseason, but lost Matt Paradis. A new center is needed.

Dalton Risner had problems with speed rushers on the edge, but improved his play in 2018. Some have seventh-round grades on him, while others believe he’ll be selected on Day 2.

Pick change; previously Renell Wren, DE/DT

  10. Cincinnati Bengals: Jachai Polite, DE/OLB, Florida
The Bengals have spent lots of time scouting edge rushers this offseason, which makes sense, given their need in that area. They’ll likely take an edge player in the first three rounds.

Jachai Polite was once slotted in the first round, but has fallen because he looked sluggish and out of shape at the combine.

  11. Detroit Lions: Darnell Savage, S, Maryland
The Lions have struggled against the pass for far too long. They need help at both positions in their secondary.

Darnell Savage is small (5-11, 200), but has good speed and instincts.

Pick change; previously Dalton Risner, OL

  12. Green Bay Packers: D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
D.K. Mamula, I mean, D.K. Metcalf didn’t look like a No. 1 receiver at Ole Miss, as he was unproductive while running poor routes. However, he posted elite numbers at the combine, displaying a ridiculous amount of upside. This has caused some to proclaim him to be a top-15 prospect. A top-15 prospect in the second round, perhaps, and I imagine the Packers would enjoy this value, as they need one more talented receiver.

Pick change; previously Justin Layne, CB

  13. Atlanta Falcons: L.J. Collier, DE, TCU
Takk McKinley has gotten into trouble, while Vic Beasley has been a huge disappointment recently, so there might be consideration to replace him.

L.J. Collier is a tough run defender, but his body needs lots of development.

Pick change; previously Justin Layne, CB

  14. Washington Redskins: Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina
The top receivers the Redskins currently have on their roster are Josh Doctson, Paul Richardson and Trey Quinn. They obviously need to make addressing this position a priority.

Deebo Samuel has been enjoying a tremendous pre-draft process, thriving in both the Senior Bowl and the combine.

Pick change; previously Kelvin Harmon, WR

  15. Carolina Panthers: Elgton Jenkins, C/G, Mississippi State
The Panthers signed Matt Paradis, but they’re still in search of interior offensive line help, so perhaps they’ll find a solution in the second round.

Excellent as both a run blocker and a pass protector, Elgton Jenkins has the athleticism and talent to be chosen early on Day 2.

Pick change; previously Dre’Mont Jones, DT

  16. Miami Dolphins: Damien Harris, RB, Alabama
The only running backs on Miami’s roster at the moment are Kenyan Drake, who can’t handle a full workload, and Kalen Ballage, who had one good game last year. The Dolphins could use an early selection to strengthen their backfield.

Damien Harris is a well-rounded running back. One source Charlie Campbell spoke to said Harris reminds him of Doug Martin.

  17. Cleveland Browns: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
The Browns view cornerback to be their greatest need now, as they need a starter across from Denzel Ward. They should be able to find a decent corner in the middle of the second round.

Greedy Williams had a spectacular freshman season with six interceptions. Williams has great size (6-2, 182) and speed, but teams have given him second-round grades.

Pick change; previously Jeffery Simmons, DT

  18. Minnesota Vikings: Jaylon Ferguson, DE, Louisiana Tech
Everson Griffen has mental issues that could resurface, so the Vikings may opt to pursue a defensive end in the first half of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Jaylon Ferguson had an excellent Senior Bowl, proving that he could compete with the power-five prospects. However, he was not able to participate at the combine because of an off-the-field problem that surfaced recently, which is why he has fallen.

Pick change; previously L.J. Collier, DE

  19. Tennessee Titans: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson
The Titans could consider Dexter Lawrence at No. 19 overall, so I imagine that they’d be thrilled to obtain him in the middle of the second frame.

Lawrence is a monster of a defensive tackle (6-5, 340) and is exceptional at both stuffing the run and pressuring the quarterback. He has fallen in mock drafts because of his positive drug test.

Pick change; previously D’Andre Walker, LB

  20. Pittsburgh Steelers: DeAndre Baker, CB, Georgia
The Steelers had some major problems in the secondary last season. They need some help at the position in addition to Joe Haden.

DeAndre Baker had a terrific 2017 campaign, showing great athleticism. He was great last season as well, especially against LSU. However, he did poorly at the combine in all regards, so he could fall to Round 2.

  21. Philadelphia Eagles: Miles Sanders, RB, Penn State
The Eagles traded for Jordan Howard. The former Bear is a tough runner, but he can’t handle the receiving work, so Philadelphia is looking for a running back to complement Howard.

Miles Sanders had a great combine performance, running a 4.49 and leaping 10-foot-4 on the broad jump. He was great in the drills as well.

  22. Houston Texans: David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State
The Texans don’t have a proven, viable running back for the long term on their roster, so that could change with this pick.

  23. Houston Texans: Kaleb McGary, OT, Washington
The Texans shouldn’t be done upgrading their offensive line, as they’ll have to make multiple upgrades up front.

  24. New England Patriots: Ryan Finley, QB, N.C. State
The Patriots have traded all of their potential successors for Tom Brady, so they’ll need to find a new one.

Ryan Finley had a solid performance at the Senior Bowl. He projects as an Alex Smith-type quarterback with slightly less mobility.

  25. Philadelphia Eagles: D’Andre Walker, LB, Georgia
Jordan Hicks signed with the Cardinals this offseason. Even if the Eagles had retained Hicks, they’d need one more linebacker, as they never replaced Mychal Kendricks.

D’Andre Walker is a good run defender who is decent in coverage and can rush the passer very well. He was all over the place in the SEC Championship.

Pick change; previously Vosean Joseph, LB

  26. Dallas Cowboys: Juan Thornhill, S, Virginia
The Cowboys have a great defense, but their secondary is a weakness outside of Byron Jones. They’ve been trying to trade for Earl Thomas, so if they can’t get a deal done, here’s the safety upgrade they need.

Juan Thornhill is a sound tackler and covers very well.

  27. Indianapolis Colts: Jamel Dean, CB, Auburn
The Colts were 20th in pass defense efficiency last year. Both their pass rush and secondary were responsible for this, so Indianapolis can take a big step toward correcting this problem by obtaining an upgrade at cornerback.

Jamel Dean has great size (6-2, 208) and tremendous potential.

  28. Los Angeles Chargers: Dre’Mont Jones, DT, Ohio State
The primary reason why the Chargers were blown out in the divisional round of the playoffs last year was because the Patriots’ offensive line dominated their defensive front. That will have to change.

Dre’Mont Jones has a first-round skill set, according to sources Charlie Campbell reached out to. He struggled a bit at the combine, so he could fall into the second round.

Pick change; previously Tytus Howard, OT

  29. Kansas City Chiefs: Kelvin Harmon, WR, N.C. State
Tyreek Hill may not be with the team next year because of his legal issues, so I expect Kansas City to use an early pick on a receiver.

Kelvin Harmon is a good route-runner who has made some clutch catches. He could be a No. 2 possession receiver in the pros.

Pick change; previously Taylor Rapp, S

  30. New Orleans Saints: Hakeem Butler, WR, Iowa State
The Saints signed Dez Bryant and Brandon Marshall, hoping to find an upgrade across from Michael Thomas. Here’s a possible solution.

Hakeem Butler has great size at 6-5, 225, and he answered some speed concerns at the combine. His hands are horrible, however. Some in the media believe Butler will be chosen in the first round, but he has gotten third-round grades from some teams.

  31. Kansas City Chiefs: Anthony Nelson, DE/DT, Iowa
The Chiefs just acquired Frank Clark – go here for my NFL Trade Grades – but they could still use another edge rusher to replace both Justin Houston and Dee Ford.

  32. New England Patriots: Germaine Pratt, LB, N.C. State
The Patriots have needed help in their linebacking corps next to Dont’a Hightower for years. They can finally fill that void with this selection.

Germaine Pratt has good vision for a linebacker and can defend the run well. He’s a former safety.
