  1. Arizona Cardinals: Drew Sample, TE, Washington
The Cardinals signed Charles Clay, but he won’t cure their tight end woes. They’ll need to spend a pick on an upgrade.

Pick change; previously Lil’Jordan Humphrey, WR

  2. Pittsburgh Steelers: Alize Mack, TE, Notre Dame
The Steelers lost Jesse James in free agency, so they’re expected to use a draft choice on a replacement.

  3. San Francisco 49ers: Sheldrick Redwine, CB/S, Miami
The 49ers need to double up on cornerbacks and safeties, so why not obtain a prospect who can play both positions?

Pick change; previously Jaquan Johnson, S

  4. New Orleans Saints: Lamont Gaillard, C, Georgia
The Saints lost Max Unger to a surprise retirement, so they’ll need to add a new center.

Pick change; previously Sam Mustipher, C

  5. Jacksonville Jaguars: T.J. Edwards, LB, Wisconsin
The Jaguars missed Paul Posluszny last year. They could go after a new linebacker this offseason.

  6. Arizona Cardinals: Derrek Thomas, CB, Baylor
Finding a second cornerback in the 2019 NFL Draft makes sense, as Arizona has needed help at that position outside of Patrick Peterson for a long time.

  7. New York Giants: Malik Carney, DE/OLB, North Carolina
Given Dave Gettleman’s enthusiasm for the front seven in this draft class, it would be surprising if he didn’t double up on edge rushers.

Pick change; previously Trevon Tate, G

  8. Buffalo Bills: David Edwards, OT, Wisconsin
Here’s more offensive line help for the Bills, who could use a new right tackle.

  9. Denver Broncos: Porter Gustin, DE/OLB, USC
Here’s another edge rusher, just in case Von Miller or Bradley Chubb goes down with an injury.

  10. Cincinnati Bengals: Isaac Nauta, TE, Georgia
The Bengals are bringing back Tyler Eifert, but they need a better Plan B for the long haul.

  11. Detroit Lions: Montre Hartage, CB, Northwestern
The Lions need as much help in the secondary as possible.

There are concerns about Montre Hartage’s speed and athleticism, so he may have to move to safety.

  12. Green Bay Packers: Isaiah Prince, OT, Ohio State
The Packers could spend multiple picks on interior lineman, as they’ll need to do everything in their power to protect Aaron Rodgers.

  13. Atlanta Falcons: Wes Hills, RB, Slippery Rock
The Falcons have shown interest in Wes Hills, so perhaps they’ll use another pick much later in the draft on a running back.

Wes Hills has a nice combination of size (6-2, 218) and speed. Level of competition is a concern, however.

  14. Carolina Panthers: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford
The Panthers are looking for a running back to play behind Christian McCaffrey, so why not draft another Stanford product?

Bryce Love has a great mix of balance, underrated strength, vision and home-run ability. He has major injury issues, however, and could fall into the middle of Day 3. Let this be a lesson: If you’re a underclassman projected to go in the first round, declare for the NFL Draft! Nothing bad may happen, but you could suffer the same, unfortunate fate as Love.

Pick change; previously Andre James, OT

  15. Tennessee Titans: Jonathan Ledbetter, DE/DT, Georgia
Here’s more help for the defensive line, which did not do a good job of pressuring opposing quarterbacks last year.

Pick change; previously Jesse Burkett, C

  16. Cleveland Browns: Cole Tracy, K, LSU
The Browns have several picks in the fifth round, so perhaps they’ll use one of them to solve their kicking woes. This works as well.

  17. Minnesota Vikings: Ryan Connelly, LB, Wisconsin
The Vikings have some great defensive players, but they have a major weakness, which is their inability to cover in space. Their linebacking corps needs an injection of talent.

  18. Baltimore Ravens: James Williams, RB, Washington State
The Ravens signed Mark Ingram to be their new workhorse running back, but they’re still expected to add depth behind him in the 2019 NFL Draft.

James Williams is a tremendous receiver out of the backfield. He did great in the drills at the combine.

  19. Pittsburgh Steelers: Andrew Van Ginkel, DE/OLB, Wisconsin
The Steelers may double up on edge rushers, given that they may have to replace Bud Dupree soon.

Pick change; previously Antoine Wesley, WR

  20. Baltimore Ravens: Ross Pierschbacher, C/G, Alabama
The Ravens must improve their interior blocking, and I’m sure they won’t mind taking on another Alabama prospect.

  21. Green Bay Packers: Ryan Bates, G, Penn State
This is a third selection used on an offensive lineman, but the Packers must protect Aaron Rodgers at all cost.

  22. Houston Texans: Hamp Cheevers, CB, Boston College
As mentioned earlier, the Texans have a dire need at cornerback. They’re expected to use multiple picks on the position.

Hamp Cheevers is a small cornerback (5-10, 180) with only one year of starting experience.

  23. New York Jets: Shareef Miller, DE/OLB, Penn State
The Jets could go with an edge rusher much earlier than this, but it’s a position they’ll have to address at some point.

  24. Philadelphia Eagles: Easton Stick, QB, North Dakota State
The Eagles will be looking for a developmental quarterback at some point on Day 3 of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Demarcus Christmas, DT

  25. Cincinnati Bengals: Daylon Mack, DT, Texas A&M
Geno Atkins turns 31 this offseason, so the Bengals could use someone to potentially take over in a couple of years.

Daylon Mack dominated the East-West Shrine Game. He has a ton of talent, but also possesses some off-the-field and motivational issues.

  26. Indianapolis Colts: Logan Parker, TE, Southern Utah
Both Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle are impending free agents next offseason, so they may draft a tight end.

  27. Los Angeles Chargers: Jaquan Johnson, S, Miami
The Chargers have focused on working out and visiting with plenty of safeties during the pre-draft process, so they’ll likely take one at some point.

Pick change; previously Lamont Gaillard, C

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Ben Burr-Kirven, LB, Washington
Andy Reid doesn’t value linebackers very highly, but he’ll have to address the position at some point.

Pick change; previously Shareef Miller, DE

  29. New Orleans Saints: Jalin Moore, RB, Appalachian State
The Saints lost Mark Ingram this offseason, so I imagine they’ll want to address their running back depth at some point.

  30. Los Angeles Rams: Ben Powers, G, Oklahoma
Here’s more offensive line help for the Rams, who need to replace multiple starters.

  31. Detroit Lions: Terry Beckner, DE/DT, Missouri
The high-character Terry Beckner could be someone the Lions target late in the draft to help the defensive line’s depth.

  32. New England Patriots: Hunter Renfrow, WR, Clemson
I think the NFL bylaws say that the Patriots must take a small white receiver at some point during the draft.

  33. Washington Redskins: Chase Claypool, WR, Notre Dame
The Redskins will have to obtain as many receivers as possible to help them fix their great need at the position.

Chase Claypool appears to have tremendous potential, as he has a great mix of size (6-4, 228) and speed.

  34. Pittsburgh Steelers: Immanuel Turner, DE/DT, Louisiana Tech
The Steelers could stand to address their defensive line depth late on Day 3.

Pick change; previously Oli Udoh, OT/G

  35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Oli Udoh, OT/G, Elon
The Buccaneers overpaid for Donovan Smith this offseason, but they could still take a tackle at some point during the draft for depth purposes.

Pick change; previously Bobby Evans, OT

  36. Minnesota Vikings: Nick Fitzgerald, QB, Mississippi State
The Vikings could use a late-round pick on a quarterback to develop behind Kirk Cousins.

  37. Cincinnati Bengals: Xavier Crawford, CB, Central Michigan
The Bengals could stand to use a third-day pick on a cornerback for depth purposes.

  38. Cincinnati Bengals: Lil’Jordan Humphrey, WR, Texas
The Bengals could stand to use a late-round pick on a receiver, as they don’t have much at the position beyond A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd.

Lil’Jordan Humphrey is a big receiver who would be slotted higher in this mock draft if he didn’t have multiple off-the-field issues. He also ran slowly at the combine.

Pick change; previously Andrew Van Ginkel, DE/OLB

  39. San Francisco 49ers: Darius West, S, Kentucky
Here’s another safety to help San Francisco’s secondary. Multiple new corners and safeties are needed.

  40. Cincinnati Bengals: Zedrick Woods, S, Ole Miss
Here’s some special teams help and defensive back depth.

  41. Kansas City Chiefs: Tyree Jackson, QB, Buffalo
Andy Reid likes to develop quarterbacks, which is why he usually spends a late-round pick on the position.

Pick change; previously Keaton Sutherland, G
