  1. Arizona Cardinals: Anthony Nelson, DE/DT, Iowa
The Cardinals were once projected to select Quinnen Williams to fill the void created by Calais Campbell’s departure. Here’s another option to replace Campbell.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: Jimmy Moreland, CB, James Madison
The 49ers need to continue to bolster their secondary, which is still the weakest part of the roster. I expect San Francisco to draft multiple corners.

Jimmy Moreland is a gritty, instinctive slot cornerback.

Pick change; previously Sean Bunting, CB

  3. New York Jets: Austin Bryant, DE, Clemson
The Jets are desperate for edge-rushing help. This is the latest they should obtain an outside pass-rusher.

  4. Oakland Raiders: Corey Ballentine, CB, Washburn
The Raiders could stand to add multiple cornerbacks so that they can finally fix their secondary.

Scouts are intrigued by Corey Ballentine, who has obvious competition issues. He also needs to add some weight to his frame.

Pick change; previously Maxx Crosby, DE

  5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Benny Snell Jr., RB, Kentucky
The Buccaneers didn’t have any sort of running game last year. They’ll need to change that in order for Jameis Winston to avoid throwing lots of interceptions.

Pick change; previously Jarrett Stidham, QB

  6. New York Giants: Darrell Henderson, RB, Memphis
The Giants could use a better backup behind Saquon Barkley, so perhaps a mid-round pick will be used on a running back.

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Sean Bunting, CB, Central Michigan
Jalen Ramsey is creating some problems, so here’s an insurance policy in case the Jaguars get fed up with him.

Sean Bunting is a lengthy cornerback (6-1, 181) with good ball skills, but he doesn’t have great athleticism.

Pick change; previously Corey Ballentine, CB

  8. Cincinnati Bengals: Justin Hollins, LB, Oregon
As stated in the previous round, the Bengals needed linebacker help even before Vontaze Burfict’s release.

  9. Detroit Lions: Cameron Smith, LB, USC
The Lions will have to spend a Round 2-4 pick on a linebacker if they don’t take Devin White No. 8 overall.

Cameron Smith was productive at USC, but there are concerns that he’ll have trouble in coverage in the NFL.

Pick change; previously Caleb Wilson, TE

  10. Buffalo Bills: Isaiah Buggs, DE/DT, Alabama
The Bills could replace Kyle Williams as early as No. 9 overall. In this mock draft, they’re waiting until the fourth round to do so.

  11. Baltimore Ravens: Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota
The Ravens lost C.J. Mosley in free agency, so I imagine they’ll want to use an early pick on a linebacker.

Blake Cashman was highly productive at Minnesota, but had athleticism concerns heading into the combine. He answered those with a dominant performance in Indianapolis.

  12. Green Bay Packers: Hjalte Froholdt, G, Arkansas
The Packers added Jody, I mean Billy Turner this offseason, but they still need interior blocking help to make sure Aaron Rodgers stays healthy for a change.

Pick change; previously Michael Jordan, G/C

  13. Carolina Panthers: Lonnie Johnson, CB, Kentucky
I could see the Panthers doubling up on cornerbacks in the first few rounds of the draft, given how poor they happen to be at the position.

Lonnie Johnson has great size (6-2, 210) and terrific arm length (32 1/4 inches).

Pick change; previously Devin Funchess, WR

  14. Miami Dolphins: Phil Haynes, G, Wake Forest
The Dolphins have the worst offensive line in the NFL. They cannot wait beyond the fourth round to select their first blocker.

Pick change; previously Khalen Saunders, DT

  15. Atlanta Falcons: Nate Davis, OT/G, Charlotte
The Falcons will need to add at least two offensive line upgrades in this draft, as their blocking took a hit last year.

Pick change; previously Anthony Nelson, DE/DT

  16. Green Bay Packers: Drue Tranquill, LB, Notre Dame
The Packers lost Jake Ryan in free agency, so they’ll have to find some help at linebacker during the first half of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Cameron Smith, LB

  17. Cleveland Browns: Dennis Daley, OT, South Carolina
Greg Robinson played well at left tackle for the Browns at the end of the year, but they’ll need to bring in someone to challenge him, given his dubious history.

Pick change; previously Isaiah Prince, OT

  18. Minnesota Vikings: Trey Pipkins, OT, Sioux Falls
Here’s yet another offensive lineman for the Vikings, who absolutely need to make sure that they protect their overpaid quarterback as well as possible.

Trey Pipkins was outstanding at the East-West Shrine Game. Competition level is an issue for him, but the Shrine performance quells that. He has plus length and strength to be a tackle in the NFL.

Pick change; previously Dax Raymond, TE

  19. Tennessee Titans: Kaden Smith, TE, Stanford
Delanie Walker’s 2019 status is up in the air, so the Titans could select a new tight end in the first few rounds.

Pick change; previously Jordan Brailford, DE/OLB

  20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jordan Brailford, DE/OLB, Oklahoma State
Bud Dupree is entering his contract year, so here’s a potential replacement for 2020 and beyond.

Pick change; previously DaMarkus Lodge, WR

  21. Baltimore Ravens: Darius Slayton, WR, Auburn
Given how weak Baltimore’s receiving corps is at the moment, the front office may spend multiple picks on the position.

Darius Slayton was an inconsistent at Auburn. He needed another year in school to refine his game.

Pick change; previously Emanuel Hall, WR

  22. Seattle Seahawks: John Cominsky, DE, Charleston
The Seahawks had the Legion of Boom a few years ago, but they also possessed a talented defensive front capable of putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. They need to improve their average pass rush.

  23. Denver Broncos: Michael Deiter, G/C, Wisconsin
The Broncos made a nice signing when they obtained Ja’Wuan James, but they still need to bolster the interior of their offensive line, especially with Matt Paradis gone.

Michael Deiter has started at center and guard for Wisconsin, so teams will like his versatility.

Pick change; previously Antoine Wesley, WR

  24. Chicago Bears: Ka’dar Hollman, CB, Toledo
The Bears lost Bryce Callahan this offseason, so they’ll need to use one of their earlier picks on a cornerback.

Pick change; previously Trayveon Williams, RB

  25. Philadelphia Eagles: Max Scharping, G/OT, Northern Illinois
The Eagles need to continue to add to their offensive line, as Brandon Brooks’ injury will hurt a lot next year if a solid replacement isn’t found.

Max Scharping has played right tackle at Northern Illinois, but NFL teams are projecting him inside to guard.

  26. Dallas Cowboys: Michael Jackson, CB, Miami
The Cowboys need to spend multiple selections on their secondary, as they have to bolster their cornerback and safety groups.

Pick change; previously Dennis Daley, OT

  27. Indianapolis Colts: Ryquell Armstead, RB, Temple
Marlon Mack played very well to close out the year, but the Colts could still consider using a mid-round pick on a running back.

Ryquell Armstead had some positive feedback from talent evaluators in Indianapolis, as he had an impressive week. Armstead ran an excellent 40 (4.45), especially when considering his size (5-11, 220). He also posted a 7.02 3-cone, which was a very good time.

  28. Los Angeles Chargers: Clayton Thorson, QB, Northwestern
The Chargers will have to think about using a pick in the first four rounds on a quarterback to eventually supplant Philip Rivers.

Clayton Thorson is an underrated prospect because of his dreadful supporting cast. He has plus mechanics, and he can make any pass, fitting throws into tight windows. He has a nice arm, and he’s also smart and athletic.

Pick change; previously Nate Davis, OT

  29. Buffalo Bills: Terrill Hanks, LB, New Mexico State
Lorenzo Alexander will probably be done playing football after this year, so the Bills will have to think about finding a replacement soon.

Pick change; previously Phil Haynes, G

  30. New York Giants: Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson
The Giants could spend multiple picks on cornerbacks, given their struggles in the secondary last year.

Trayvon Mullen is a 6-foot-2 corner who was highly recruited. However, he has disappointed team sources, so it sounds like he’ll be taken in the Round 3-5 range.

Pick change; previously Jaquan Johnson, S

  31. Los Angeles Rams: Jalen Jelks, DE, Oregon
Dante Fowler may not be back in Los Angeles after 2019, so the Rams could be in the market for a new edge rusher.

Jalen Jelks will need to add some weight if he wants to play in a 4-3, but he has the potential to be versatile enough to fit any scheme.

  32. New England Patriots: Gerald Willis, DT, Miami
Here’s another defensive lineman for the Patriots, who will need multiple players to replace Trey Flowers’ production.

Pick change; previously David Sills, WR

  33. Indianapolis Colts: Joe Jackson, DE, Miami
The Colts made great strides defensively last year, but they were just 29th in adjusted sack rate. They’ll be looking to improve their pass rush.

  34. Dallas Cowboys: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford
The Cowboys could do better than Rod Smith as far as a backup for Ezekiel Elliott.

Bryce Love has a great mix of balance, underrated strength, vision and home-run ability. He has major injury issues, however, and could fall into the middle of Day 3. Let this be a lesson: If you’re a underclassman projected to go in the first round, declare for the NFL Draft! Nothing bad may happen, but you could suffer the same, unfortunate fate as Love.

Pick change; previously Darius Slayton, WR

  35. Atlanta Falcons: Mecole Hardman, WR/KR, Georgia
The Falcons need to develop a third receiver and improve their return game. This pick should help both areas.

Outside of scoring touchdowns, which can be fluky, Mecole Hardman wasn’t very productive in 2018 with just 30 catches in regular-season play. That said, Hardman has blazing speed and can double as a kick returner. He’s someone who should’ve definitely returned to school, as he’s not a finished product as a receiver.

Pick change; previously Oli Udoh, OT/G

  36. Philadelphia Eagles: Ben Burr-Kirven, LB, Washington
The Eagles needed help at linebacker even before they lost Jordan Hicks to the Cardinals. They could double up on the position.

Pick change; previously Ken Webster, CB
