  1. Dallas Cowboys: K’Lavon Chaisson, DE, LSU
The Cowboys lost Robert Quinn to free agency, so they’ll need to find some help to bolster their edge rush in the 2020 NFL Draft.

K’Lavon Chaisson is a long, athletic edge player with big-time potential.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. C.J. Henderson, CB – The Cowboys love Henderson, so they may trade up for him.

    2. Trevon Diggs, CB – The alternative cornerback option for the Cowboys.

Also, if you’d like to support the site, check out my book! It’s available on Amazon, and it’s called A Safety and a Field Goal.

    Take a look:

A Safety and a Field Goal

You can buy it here. It has some NFL Draft-related topics, so like I said, if you want to support the site, this is a great way to do it!

  2. Miami Dolphins: Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State
Could history repeat itself? Miami was lucky to obtain Laremy Tunsil after he fell because of the infamous bong incident. This year, Mekhi Becton tested positive at the combine, so he could slip a few spots just like Tunsil did. The Dolphins, who have one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, would really benefit from landing a talented player like Becton if he were to fall.

Becton doesn’t quite get here for the Dolphins, but they have some other tackle options. Ezra Cleveland, Austin Jackson and Josh Jones all make sense. With Cleveland gaining some steam lately, I’m inclined to slot him at this spot.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Josh Jones or Austin Jackson, OT – It would be a mistake for the Dolphins to not protect their new franchise quarterback.

    2. D’Andre Swift, RB – If all the tackles are gone, the Dolphins may decide to take the best running back in this class.

Pick change; previously Mekhi Becton, OT

  3. Las Vegas Raiders: Patrick Queen, LB, LSU
The Raiders have needed help at linebacker for quite some time. They signed a couple of very talented linebackers in free agency, Nick Kwiatkoski and Cory Littleton, but I don’t think they’re necessarily done addressing the position.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Henry Ruggs, WR – If the Raiders miss out on CeeDee Lamb but are able to obtain Isaiah Simmons, they may end up with Ruggs at No. 19 overall.

    2. A.J. Terrell, CB – Yet another talented Clemson player for the Raiders.

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama
Jacksonville recently had the best defense in the NFL. Its secondary was outstanding. Now, everyone’s gone, so multiple defensive backs are needed, including a major upgrade at safety.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. A.J. Terrell, CB – The Jaguars need to replace Jalen Ramsey, so here’s an option if they don’t take C.J. Henderson at No. 9.

    2. Austin Jackson or Josh Jones, OT – Either tackle is in play, given the Jaguars’ offensive line woes.

Pick change; previously Patrick Queen, LB

  5. Philadelphia Eagles: Henry Ruggs, WR, Alabama
The Eagles were expected to target Marquise Brown last year, but were pleasantly surprised when Andre Dillard was available for them. They’re still sorely lacking a deep threat, which they can finally obtain with this pick.

Henry Ruggs is raw compared to Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb, but there’s no denying his game-breaking ability.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Justin Jefferson, WR – I believe Jefferson will be the pick if the Eagles remain at No. 21.

    2. Trade Up (CeeDee Lamb, WR) – The Eagles could trade up for a talented receiver like I have happening in my 2020 NFL Mock Draft. I discussed this in a Eagles-Browns NFL Draft Trade column. Howie Roseman reportedly loves CeeDee Lamb, and to get him, he’ll have to leap over the 49ers, Raiders and Jets.

Pick change; previously CeeDee Lamb, WR

  6. Minnesota Vikings: A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson
The Vikings have let go of several veterans this offseason because of Kirk Cousins’ contract. They lost several cornerbacks this offseason, so this is a position I expect them to address in the opening round of the 2020 NFL Draft. They tend to use first-round choices on cornerbacks, so here’s yet another one.

A.J. Terrell has good size (6-2, 190) and nice skill set. He did very well at the combine.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. K’Lavon Chaisson, DE – I don’t think the Vikings expect to land Chaisson at No. 22, but it is possible. He would replace Everson Griffen.

    2. C.J. Henderson, CB – The Vikings love Henderson, so they could trade up for him.

Pick change; previously Noah Igbinoghene, CB

  7. New England Patriots: Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton
Between moving up for a quarterback, trading out of the first round and remaining at No. 23, I think the latter is the least-likely scenario for the Patriots. In this circumstance, I’m having the Patriots trade down because they don’t have a second-round pick. That would allow them to pick up the best tight end in this class in the second frame.

Level of competition is a question mark, but Adam Trautman has nice size (6-6, 251) and good hands. Some teams view him as the top tight end in this class.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Trade Down – It would be shocking if the Patriots don’t trade out of this pick. They’re most likely to move down into the second round.

    2. Trade Up – However, the Patriots could also make some noise and move up for Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert.

  8. New Orleans Saints: Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU
The Saints don’t have too many needs, but one happens to be receiver. They signed Emmanuel Sanders, but they still need to find one more upgrade.

Justin Jefferson is tall (6-3, 192), long and athletic. He was dominant throughout 2019, particularly the playoff victory over Oklahoma.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Ross Blacklock, DT – The Saints also must find an upgrade in the interior of their defensive line.

    2. Patrick Queen, LB – New Orleans could also use an upgrade at linebacker, so taking this local product would make lots of sense.

  9. Minnesota Vikings: Matt Hennessy, C/G, Temple
The Vikings must upgrade their offensive line to give their overpaid quarterback a chance to win more than one playoff game.

Matt Hennessy is not a name you see in most mock drafts, but he was ranked 34th on Gil Brandt’s big board. Hennessy can play both guard and center, and he fits exactly what the Vikings want from a blocker. He would start at guard on Day 1.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Jaylon Johnson, CB – The Vikings need help at corner, and Johnson is the sort of prospect Mike Zimmer likes at the position. He’s the corner option if A.J. Terrell is off the board.

    2. Ezra Cleveland, Austin Jackson or Josh Jones, OTs – The Vikings could stand to get cheaper at offensive tackle.

  10. Miami Dolphins: Josh Jones, OT, Houston
No one should be surprised if the Dolphins spend two of their three first-round picks on offensive linemen. They have the worst blocking unit in the NFL, and they need upgrades at every position, including both tackle spots.

Josh Jones needs to get stronger for the NFL, but his length and athleticism will interest some teams.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. D’Andre Swift or Jonathan Taylor, RBs – Both running back options make sense.

    2. Xavier McKinney, S – The Dolphins need a safety, and they could deem McKinney to be the best player available.

Pick change; previously D’Andre Swift, RB

  11. Seattle Seahawks: Josh Uche, DE/LB, Michigan
I would be shocked if the Seahawks remain at No. 27. They always trade down, so here’s another instance in which they’ll do so. They can then obtain someone like Josh Uche in the 35-45 range.

Rob Staton of SeahawksDraftBlog.com did a great job of breaking down what the Seahawks look for in the draft. The Seahawks tend to select players who thrive at the Senior Bowl. Uche was certainly one of the winners at Mobile, and he compares to Bruce Irvin, whom the Seahawks selected in the first round long ago.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Austin Jackson or Josh Jones, OT – If the Seahawks remain at No. 27, they could select one of the talented tackles.

    2. Trade Down – The Seahawks love trading down, so I expect them to move into Round 2.

  12. Baltimore Ravens: Zack Baun, LB, Wisconsin
I’ve slotted Jonathan Taylor here for a while. I think he’s still an option, but I get the feeling the Ravens want one of the first-round linebacker prospects. It could be Patrick Queen or Kenneth Murray, but neither is available. In that case, perhaps it’ll be Zack Baun, who can play multiple positions in Baltimore’s defense.

Zack Baun has size limitations (6-3, 238), but he was very productive at Wisconsin.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Patrick Queen, LB – This feels like Queen’s floor. He would likely be the pick if available.

    2. D’Andre Swift or Jonathan Taylor, RB – I had the Ravens going with a running back for the longest time, and I still think that’s an option.

  13. Tennessee Titans: Austin Jackson, OT, USC
The Titans were able to bully their opponents in the trenches last year, which helped them advance to the AFC Championship. That won’t work as well with Jack Conklin gone, so here’s a replacement.

Austin Jackson is a terrific athlete with quick feet and superb agility. He had a bit of a down year in 2019, but only because he donated bone marrow to his sister.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Austin Jackson or Josh Jones, OT – The Titans need to replace the Cleveland-bound Jack Conklin.

    2. A.J. Terrell, CB – The Titans lost Logan Ryan this offseason, so a cornerback is needed.

  14. Green Bay Packers: Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor
The Packers are devoid of talent at receiver, save for Davante Adams. They desperately need to give Aaron Rodgers one more downfield threat.

Denzel Mims has vaulted up draft boards with impressive showings at the combine and Senior Bowl. Teams are all over the place in rankings him, as some have put him in the first round, while others think he belongs on Day 3.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Many other receivers – The Packers could take a number of other different players at the position, including Jalen Reagor, Laviska Shenault, Tee Higgins and Brandon Aiyuk.

    2. Zack Baun, LB – Green Bay needs some linebacker help, but the first-round prospects at the position are all off the board in this mock.

  15. San Francisco 49ers: Cesar Ruiz, C, Michigan
Weston Richburg tore his patellar tendon, and there’s usually no coming back from that. The 49ers need to make sure they have a viable starting center.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Josh Jones, OT – San Francisco could take Joe Staley’s successor with this pick.

    2. Jeff Gladney, CB – The 49ers could be interested in a cornerback at this spot.

Pick change; previously Josh Jones, OT

  16. Kansas City Chiefs: Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU
The Chiefs already needed a cornerback entering free agency, and that was before they lost Kendall Fuller to the Redskins. They need to find multiple corners in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Jeff Gladney has off-the-field issues, but is talented enough to still be a second-round prospect.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Damon Arnette or A.J. Terrell, CB – Here are some cornerbacks the Chiefs could consider at No. 32.

    2. Cesar Ruiz or Matt Hennessy, C/G – Andy Reid loves bolstering the trenches, and he needs some offensive line help.
