  1. Houston Texans: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama
The Texans would be crazy not to address their offensive line, as Deshaun Watson is constantly under siege. That must change.

Jonah Williams had a great freshman year as Alabama’s right tackle. He’s now manning the blind side with Cam Robinson gone.

  2. Oakland Raiders: Anfernee Jennings, LB, Alabama
The Raiders need help all over their defense. They found a temporary solution at linebacker in Derrick Johnson, but they’ll need to obtain a long-term answer at the position.

Pick change; previously Marvell Tell, S

  3. Arizona Cardinals: Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Florida
The Cardinals will need to replace Tyrann Mathieu at some point next offseason.

Chauncey Garnder-Johnson played nickel for the Gators last year, but will take on a larger role in 2017 and beyond. He’s a great athlete and possesses terrific upside as a dynamic safety.

  4. Houston Texans: Connor McGovern, G, Penn State
Here’s another much-needed upgrade for the Texans’ offensive line, as they really need to do a better job of protecting Deshaun Watson.

Connor McGovern projects as one of the top guards in the 2019 NFL Draft. He’s been great for Penn State, paving the way for Saquon Barkley.

  5. San Francisco 49ers: Michael Jordan, G/C, Ohio State
The 49ers are having major issues in the interior of their offensive line this season, so this is an area they’ll have to bolster next spring.

Michael Jordan can play both center and guard, so his versatility will make him appealing on Draft Day.

  6. Buffalo Bills: Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina
In addition to upgrading their offensive line, the Bills must obtain some play-makers for Josh Allen, as he doesn’t possess any aside from LeSean McCoy.

Deebo Samuel barely played last year because of a fractured fibula, but he’s a second-round prospect who could sneak into the opening frame with a big 2018 campaign.

Pick change; previously David Edwards, OT

  7. Detroit Lions: Cameron Smith, LB, USC
The Lions have severe problems at linebacker. They must address this issue this upcoming offseason.

  8. Indianapolis Colts: Trayveon Williams, RB, Texas A&M
The Colts have a bunch of sub-par running backs who will share carries. Here’s their chance to secure a true lead back.

Trayveon Williams needs to continue to build strength, but he has explosive ability. He can also catch passes fairly well (19 receptions as a freshman.)

Pick change; previously Damien Harris, RB

  9. Dallas Cowboys: Emmanuel Hall, WR, Missouri
The Cowboys could double up on receivers. That’s how desperate they are at the position.

Emmanuel Hall is a 6-1 receiver with tremendous speed. His hands and motivation are an issue, but he has first-round talent.

  10. Los Angeles Chargers: Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn
There was a report saying the Chargers would take their quarterback of the future in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Maybe they were just off by a year.

Jarrett Stidham struggled early in his first year at Auburn, but improved as the season progressed. He eventually knocked off Alabama and Georgia. Sources told Charlie Campbell that scouts have been very impressed with Stidham. You can read about it in the NFL Hot Press.

Pick change; previously Brian Burns, DE/OLB

  11. New England Patriots: Clayton Thorson, QB, Northwestern
The Patriots have traded all of their potential successors for Tom Brady, so they’ll need to find a new one.

Clayton Thorson is an underrated prospect because of his supporting cast. He has plus mechanics, and he can make any pass, fitting throws into tight windows. He has a nice arm, and he’s also smart and athletic. He could be a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft if he recovers from the injury he suffered in his postseason exhibition game.

  12. New York Giants: Yodney Cajuste, OT, West Virginia
The Giants are desperate for blocking upgrades, so if they select a quarterback in the first round, they must absolutely bolster their pass protection.

Yodney Cajuste tore his ACL in 2016, but has been a terrific left tackle for Will Grier ever since. He’s looking like a second-day pick at the worst.

  13. Atlanta Falcons: Noah Fant, TE, Iowa
Austin Hooper has mostly been a disappointment thus far. If he doesn’t make strides in 2018, the Falcons may want to replace him.

Noah Fant is an athletic marvel, notching a 41-inch vertical in spring testing. He needs to improve his blocking, but his receiving ability should allow him to be a first-round pick.

  14. Indianapolis Colts: Damon Arnette, CB, Ohio State
The Colts have an abomination of a secondary that needs to be addressed. Their cornerbacks are particularly putrid and must be upgraded.

Damon Arnette struggled early in 2017, but improved as the season progressed. He has nice size (6-0) and speed (4.40), and could end up being a first-round pick.

Pick change; previously Kendall Sheffield, CB

  15. Minnesota Vikings: David Edwards, OT, Wisconsin
The Bills were able to establish a quick 17-0 lead because of two Kirk Cousins strip-sacks. It’s clear that Minnesota needs to improve its pass protection.

Taking over for Ryan Ramczyk, David Edwards was a good blocker in 2017. He’s protecting his quarterback’s blind side this year, though he struggled against BYU.

Pick change; previously Tyrie Cleveland, WR

  16. Cleveland Browns: Mack Wilson, LB, Alabama
Mychal Kendricks was busted for insider trading, so the Browns will need a linebacker who doesn’t pursue Martha Stewart-type ventures.

Mack Wilson has good coverage skills, so he’ll generate interest from teams on Day 2.

Pick change; previously Anfernee Jennings, LB

  17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kendall Sheffield, CB, Ohio State
Given the constant breakdowns the Steelers have in the secondary, it wouldn’t surprise me if they used a second-day pick on a cornerback.

Kendall Sheffield is a talented cornerback, but needs to add more weight to his frame (5-11. 187).

Pick change; previously Austin Bryant, DE

  18. Green Bay Packers: Collin Johnson, WR, Texas
Jordy Nelson is gone. Randall Cobb looks like a shell of his former self. The Packers are hurting at receiver.

Collin Johnson has great upside and athleticism for someone with his frame (6-6, 212), but caught only 28 passes as a freshman. He’s taken a big step this season.

Pick change; previously Trayveon Williams, RB

  19. Washington Redskins: Shea Patterson, QB, Michigan
The Redskins traded for Alex Smith, but have no quarterback of the future. Perhaps this is something they’ll address early in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Shea Patterson completed 64 percent of his passes during the 2017 campaign. League contacts have told Charlie Campbell that Patterson compares favorably to Johnny Manziel, but without all of the off-the-field concerns. Patterson, however, really struggled in the opener versus Notre Dame.

  20. Denver Broncos: Ahmmon Richards, WR, Miami
I don’t know how much longer Demaryius Thomas will be on the Broncos, as his declining skill set and drop-happy hands won’t cut it much longer.

Ahmmon Richards was highly productive as a freshman, catching 49 passes for 934 yards. He didn’t do much this past year because of a hamstring, but he should have a big 2018 campaign (though he’s not off to a good start.)

Pick change; previously Ken Webster, CB

  21. Jacksonville Jaguars: Austin Bryant, DE, Clemson
The Jaguars showed last year that they’re willing to add to their strengths, so taking a prospect to join their dynamic edge rushers is certainly a possibility.

Austin Bryant played his way into first-round consideration last year, and he has a chance to improve his stock even further with a strong 2018 campaign.

Pick change; previously Will Grier, QB

  22. New England Patriots: Tyrie Cleveland, WR, Florida
The Patriots are sorely lacking offensive play-makers, even in the wake of the Josh Gordon trade. They’ll need to fix that next offseason.

Tyrie Cleveland has been an explosive player for the Gators this year, and he projects as a possible first-round selection in the future.

Pick change; previously Ahmmon Richards, WR

  23. Philadelphia Eagles: Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State
The Eagles have a severe lack of depth at receiver, so they may want to take a player at that position with one of their two second-round selections.

Parris Campbell has big-play ability, but hasn’t lived up to it statistically because of some poor passing.

Pick change; previously Collin Johnson, WR

  24. Tennessee Titans: Isaiah Buggs, NT, Alabama
The Titans could stand to beef up the interior of their defensive front to improve against the run.

Isaiah Buggs has been a big-time run-stuffing nose tackle for Alabama since joining the team from the JUCO ranks.

Pick change; previously Marlon Davidson, DE

  25. Philadelphia Eagles: Devin Bush, LB, Michigan
The Eagles have some issues in their linebacking corps. Jordan Hicks has had trouble staying healthy, while Mychal Kendricks signed with the Browns before getting popped for insider trading.

  26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Taylor Rapp, S, Washington
Buccaneer fans aren’t too pleased that their front office passed on Derwin James in the 2018 NFL Draft, and rightfully so. Here’s another opportunity to obtain an upgrade at safety.

Taylor Rapp was part of Washington’s terrific secondary last year, and he recorded four interceptions as a mere freshman.

  27. Cincinnati Bengals: Isaiah Prince, OT, Ohio State
The Bengals made some upgrades to their offensive line, but their blocking still isn’t very good. More blockers are needed to bolster their front.

Isaiah Prince has done well at right tackle thus far. He’s dealt with injuries, but could be a first-round pick.

Pick change; previously Caleb Wilson, TE

  28. Carolina Panthers: Michael Deiter, C, Wisconsin
Ryan Kalil said he’s going to retire after this season, so here’s a replacement for him.

Michael Deiter has started at center and guard for Wisconsin. He’s currently the favorite to be the first center chosen in the 2019 NFL Draft.

  29. New Orleans Saints: Iman Marshall, CB, USC
The Saints could be in the market for a new cornerback if Ken Crawley continues to struggle.

Iman Marshall was once considered a first-round prospect, but he was torched far too often in 2017. Still, he has the potential to be considered a second-day prospect.

  30. Miami Dolphins: Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame
The Dolphins lost Ndamukong Suh last offseason, so they’ll need to add to their defensive interior to replace him.

  31. Kansas City Chiefs: Marlon Davidson, DE, Auburn
The Chiefs could stand to add one of the tremendous front-seven players in this class. I imagine they’d like to upgrade their edge rush outside of Justin Houston.

Marlon Davidson wasn’t a huge contributor for Auburn as a freshman, but he thrived this previous season.

Pick change; previously Parris Campbell, WR

  32. Kansas City Chiefs: Ken Webster, CB, Ole Miss
The Chiefs could stand to double up on cornerbacks with two of their three picks in the first couple of rounds. They’re really hurting at the position, so this is something they should definitely consider.

Pick change; previously Oshane Ximines, DE/OLB
