  1. Indianapolis Colts: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford
The Colts have a bunch of sub-par running backs who will share carries. Here’s their chance to secure a true lead back.

Bryce Love has a great mix of balance, underrated strength, vision and home-run ability.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: Michael Jordan, G/C, Ohio State
The 49ers are having major issues in the interior of their offensive line this season, so this is an area they’ll have to bolster next spring.

Michael Jordan can play both center and guard, so his versatility will make him appealing on Draft Day.

  3. Arizona Cardinals: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama
The Cardinals need to protect Josh Rosen, so they should strongly consider an offensive lineman to start Round 2. Right tackle is perhaps the biggest hole up front.

Jonah Williams had a great freshman year as Alabama’s right tackle. He’s now manning the blind side with Cam Robinson gone.

  4. Atlanta Falcons: Joe Jackson, DE, Miami
Here’s more help for Atlanta’s front. Vic Beasley has been a huge disappointment recently, so if he doesn’t improve, there might be consideration to replace him.

Joe Jackson has enjoyed a strong 2017 campaign for Miami, using his speed off the edge to put lots of pressure on opposing passers.

Pick change; previously Noah Fant, TE

  5. Oakland Raiders: Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, S, Florida
Let’s keep moving down Oakland’s defense. The Raiders have a poor safety situation as well, so they can remedy that with this pick.

Chauncey Garnder-Johnson played nickel for the Gators last year, but will take on a larger role in 2017 and beyond. He’s a great athlete and possesses terrific upside as a dynamic safety.

  6. New York Giants: Yodney Cajuste, OT, West Virginia
The Giants are desperate for blocking upgrades, so if they select a quarterback in the first round, they must absolutely bolster their pass protection.

Yodney Cajuste tore his ACL in 2016, but has been a terrific left tackle for Will Grier ever since. He’s looking like a second-day pick at the worst.

Pick change; previously David Edwards, OT

  7. Houston Texans: Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State
The Texans would be crazy not to address their offensive line, as Deshaun Watson is constantly under siege. That must change.

Pick change; previously Yodney Cajuste, OT

  8. Philadelphia Eagles: Trayveon Williams, RB, Texas A&M
The Eagles wanted Sony Michel, but the Patriots stole him from them. Here’s another running back to replace or complement Jay Ajayi, who has just torn his ACL.

Trayveon Williams needs to continue to build strength, but he has explosive ability. He can also catch passes fairly well (19 receptions as a freshman.)

  9. Indianapolis Colts: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
The Colts have dropped 12 passes in the past two games, so it’s clearer than ever that they need another talented receiver to go along with T.Y. Hilton.

Marquise Brown is a small receiver (5-11, 162), but he can bolt for the end zone any time he gets his hands on the ball.

  10. Houston Texans: Connor McGovern, G, Penn State
Here’s another much-needed upgrade for the Texans’ offensive line, as they really need to do a better job of protecting Deshaun Watson.

Connor McGovern projects as one of the top guards in the 2019 NFL Draft. He’s been great for Penn State, paving the way for Saquon Barkley.

  11. Buffalo Bills: Collin Johnson, WR, Texas
In addition to upgrading their offensive line, the Bills must obtain some play-makers for Josh Allen, as he doesn’t possess any aside from LeSean McCoy.

Collin Johnson has great upside and athleticism for someone with his frame (6-6, 212), but caught only 28 passes as a freshman. He’s taken a big step this season.

Pick change; previously Deebo Samuel, WR

  12. Detroit Lions: Mack Wilson, LB, Alabama
The Lions have severe problems at linebacker. They must address this issue this upcoming offseason.

Mack Wilson has good coverage skills, so he’ll generate interest from teams on Day 2.

Pick change; previously Anfernee Jennings, LB

  13. Denver Broncos: Cameron Smith, LB, USC
The Broncos have had major issues covering tight ends and pass-catching running backs since losing Danny Trevathan. They’ll finally need to obtain a replacement.

Pick change; previously Emmanuel Hall, WR

  14. Dallas Cowboys: Emmanuel Hall, WR, Missouri
The Cowboys could double up on receivers. That’s how desperate they are at the position.

Emmanuel Hall is a 6-1 receiver with tremendous speed. His hands and motivation are an issue, but he has first-round talent.

Pick change; previously Ahmmon Richards, WR

  15. Minnesota Vikings: David Edwards, OT, Wisconsin
The Bills were able to establish a quick 17-0 lead because of two Kirk Cousins strip-sacks. It’s clear that Minnesota needs to improve its pass protection.

Taking over for Ryan Ramczyk, David Edwards was a good blocker in 2017. He’s protecting his quarterback’s blind side this year, though he struggled against BYU.

Pick change; previously Andre Dillard, OT

  16. Cleveland Browns: Austin Bryant, DE, Clemson
The Browns should continue to bolster their defensive line, as having as many talented pass rushers as possible will be useful in the AFC North.

Austin Bryant played his way into first-round consideration last year, and he has a chance to improve his stock even further with a strong 2018 campaign.

Pick change; previously Mack Wilson, LB

  17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Damon Arnette, CB, Ohio State
Given the constant breakdowns the Steelers have in the secondary, it wouldn’t surprise me if they used a second-day pick on a cornerback.

Damon Arnette struggled early in 2017, but improved as the season progressed. He has nice size (6-0) and speed (4.40), and could end up being a first-round pick.

Pick change; previously Kendall Sheffield, CB

  18. Green Bay Packers: Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina
Aaron Rodgers has been very frustrated with his receivers, and understandably so. They dropped countless passes in the Buffalo game. Randall Cobb wasn’t responsible because he didn’t play, but considering his $9 million salary, he could be gone next offseason.

Deebo Samuel barely played last year because of a fractured fibula, but he’s a second-round prospect who could sneak into the opening frame with a big 2018 campaign.

Pick change; previously Jerry Tillery, DT

  19. Miami Dolphins: Elgton Jenkins, C, Mississippi State
The Dolphins couldn’t block whatsoever against the Patriots. They’ll need to repair multiple spots on their offensive line, including center.

Elgton Jenkins has impressed scouts with his athleticism.

  20. Jacksonville Jaguars: Noah Fant, TE, Iowa
The Jaguars need to give their new quarterback another weapon. Austin Seferian-Jenkins was a bust signing, so a new tight end should be acquired.

Noah Fant is an athletic marvel, notching a 41-inch vertical in spring testing. He needs to improve his blocking, but his receiving ability should allow him to be a first-round pick.

Pick change; previously Austin Bryant, DE

  21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Johnathan Abram, S, Mississippi State
Buccaneer fans aren’t too pleased that their front office passed on Derwin James in the 2018 NFL Draft, and rightfully so. Here’s another opportunity to obtain an upgrade at safety.

Johnathan Abram needs to improve in coverage, but he’s a forceful, physical run defender.

  22. Washington Redskins: Will Grier, QB, West Virginia
The Redskins traded for Alex Smith, but have no quarterback of the future. Perhaps this is something they’ll address early in the 2019 NFL Draft.

  23. New England Patriots: Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
The Patriots have to be stunned that a possible first-round prospect like Christian Wilkins is available at this juncture, but there are so many talented defensive tackles in this class that one of them is bound to fall.

Wilkins has superior speed and athleticism as an interior disruptor.

Pick change; previously Tyrie Cleveland, WR

  24. Tennessee Titans: Isaiah Buggs, NT, Alabama
The Titans could stand to beef up the interior of their defensive front to improve against the run.

Isaiah Buggs has been a big-time run-stuffing nose tackle for Alabama since joining the team from the JUCO ranks.

  25. Philadelphia Eagles: Tyrie Cleveland, WR, Florida
The Eagles have a severe lack of depth at receiver, so they may want to take a player at that position with one of their two second-round selections.

Tyrie Cleveland has been an explosive player for the Gators this year, and he projects as a possible first-round selection in the future.

Pick change; previously Collin Johnson, WR

  26. Los Angeles Chargers: Ryan Finley, QB, N.C. State
There was a report saying the Chargers would take their quarterback of the future in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Maybe they were just off by a year.

  27. Carolina Panthers: Michael Deiter, C, Wisconsin
Ryan Kalil said he’s going to retire after this season, so here’s a replacement for him.

Michael Deiter has started at center and guard for Wisconsin. He’s currently the favorite to be the first center chosen in the 2019 NFL Draft.

  28. New England Patriots: Clayton Thorson, QB, Northwestern
The Patriots have traded all of their potential successors for Tom Brady, so they’ll need to find a new one.

Clayton Thorson is an underrated prospect because of his supporting cast. He has plus mechanics, and he can make any pass, fitting throws into tight windows. He has a nice arm, and he’s also smart and athletic. He could be a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

  29. Cincinnati Bengals: Isaiah Prince, OT, Ohio State
The Bengals made some upgrades to their offensive line, but their blocking still isn’t very good. More blockers are needed to bolster their front.

Isaiah Prince has done well at right tackle thus far. He’s dealt with injuries, but could be a first-round pick.

  30. New Orleans Saints: Caleb Wilson, TE, UCLA
The Saints could use an upgrade at tight end, as they’ve never found a replacement for Jimmy Graham.

Serving as Josh Rosen’s favorite target, Caleb Wilson is a talented route-runner who was very productive last season. He needs to improve his blocking.

  31. Kansas City Chiefs: Marlon Davidson, DE, Auburn
The Chiefs could stand to add one of the tremendous front-seven players in this class. I imagine they’d like to upgrade their edge rush outside of Justin Houston.

Marlon Davidson wasn’t a huge contributor for Auburn as a freshman, but he thrived this previous season.

  32. Kansas City Chiefs: Ken Webster, CB, Ole Miss
The Chiefs could stand to double up on cornerbacks with two of their three picks in the first couple of rounds. They’re really hurting at the position, so this is something they should definitely consider.
