*** This mock draft will be updated occasionally. Follow @walterfootball for NFL Draft updates. ***

  1. Chicago Bears: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia Georgia
Pick a position outside of quarterback and running back, and the Bears have a need at that spot. Their cornerbacks are horrible outside of Jaylon Johnson.

A huge cornerback with lots of upside, Kelee Ringo performed well in place of Tyson Campbell. He should drum up some interest on Day 2.

  2. Houston Texans: Sam LaPorta, TE, Iowa Iowa
The Texans should give their new quarterback multiple new weapons so he has the best chance to succeed.

Sam LaPorta is a bit short for his position, but could be a quality receiving threat.

Pick change; previously Darnell Washington, TE

  3. Arizona Cardinals: Cody Mauch, G, North Dakota State North Dakota State
The Cardinals are stuck with Kyler Murray and his torn ACL, so they’ll need to find better players to protect him.

Team sources told Charlie Campbell that Cody Mauch could be this year’s version of Cole Strange.

  4. Denver Broncos: Zacch Pickens, DT, South Carolina
The Broncos could stand to add to their defensive line so they improve against the run.

Zacch Pickens had a great ’21 campaign. He has plus size, quickness and athleticism.

  5. Denver Broncos: Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee
Russell Wilson has been a disaster thus far. The Broncos will give him another chance next year because they don’t really have a choice, but they’ll need to find a young replacement in case Wilson is awful once again in 2023.

Hendon Hooker is a dual-threat quarterback enjoyed a great season for Tennessee. The top downside prior to his torn ACl was that he’ll turn 25 prior to the draft. The ACL is a concern for the short term, but not for the team drafting him in this situation.

  6. Los Angeles Rams: Zach Evans, RB, Ole Miss Ole Miss
The Rams seem generally unhappy with all of their running backs, though Cam Akers finally showed signs of life on Christmas and onward.

Zach Evans is undersized, but explosive.

  7. Las Vegas Raiders: Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State Mississippi State
The Raiders have a poor pass defense, so they must find better cornerback play. They could double up on the position.

Emmanuel Forbes is a feast-or-famine cornerback.

Pick change; previously Mekhi Garner, CB

  8. New Orleans Saints: Nolan Smith, DE/OLB, Georgia Georgia
What happened to New Orleans’ pass rush? The Saints are getting no pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Nolan Smith needs to get stronger, but he has great speed off the edge.

Pick change; previously Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE/OLB

  9. Tennessee Titans: Xavier Hutchinson, WR, Iowa State Iowa State
The Titans need another receiver to pair with Treylon Burks.

Xavier Hutchinson is a quality route-runner with solid hands.

  10. Houston Texans: Adetomiwa Adebawore, DE/DT, Northwestern Northwestern
The Texans have a very weak pass rush and run defense that must be addressed.

Adetomiwa Adebawore has some solid ability, but is a tweener. He posted Mario Williams- and J.J. Watt-type numbers at the combine.

Pick change; previously Gervon Dexter, DT

  11. New York Jets: Brandon Joseph, S, Notre Dame Notre Dame
The Jets struggle to defend the middle of the field, so they’ll be interested in a second-day safety. They could also target a receiver, which Charlie Campbell argues in his mock draft with the Jets picking Quentin Johnson.

Brandon Joseph is a turnover machine with great instincts.

  12. Atlanta Falcons: Trenton Simpson, LB, Clemson Clemson
The Falcons had one of the worst linebacking corps in the NFL last year.

Trenton Simpson is a quick and ahtletic linebacker.

  13. New England Patriots: Nick Broeker, OT/G, Ole Miss
The Patriots have some major offensive line issues that must be addressed, so they could double up in this area.

Nick Broeker may have to switch to guard in the NFL.

  14. Miami Dolphins: Jarrett Patterson, C, Notre Dame Notre Dame
The Dolphins need to bolster their offensive line to protect the injury-prone Tua Tagovailoa.

Heading into 2022, Jarrett Patterson had yet to surrender a sack in his collegiate career.

  15. Green Bay Packers: Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah
The Packers could stand to add another weapon – one who offers an upgrade over Robert Tonyan.

Dalton Kincaid is an athletic receiver who runs good routes.

  16. Indianapolis Colts: Josh Downs, WR, North Carolina
Parris Campbell has not shown the ability to stay healthy, so the Colts could stand to add another receiver.

Josh Downs projects as a speedy slot receiver.

  17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Daniel Scott, S, California California
The Steelers may lose Terrell Edmunds in the offseason. If so, here’s a replacement.
Daniel Scott has good size for the NFL.

  18. Detroit Lions: Stetson Bennett, QB, Georgia Georgia
The Lions may want a quarterback to groom behind Jared Goff.

Stetson Bennett was very clutch in big games for Georgia. He’ll look to become the next Brock Purdy or Colt McCoy.

Pick change; previously Malik Cunningham, QB

  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Demarvion Overshown, LB, Texas Texas
Lavonte David is an impending free agent, so the Buccaneers will need to find a replacement if he leaves.

Demarvion Overshown was flying all over the field at times in ’21.

  20. Seattle Seahawks: Jaylon Jones, CB, Texas A&M Texas A&M
The Seahawks could stand to add another mid-round talented cornerback to their secondary.

Jaylon Jones is an instinctive cornerback with good speed and athleticism.

  21. Miami Dolphins: Deuce Vaughn, RB, Kansas State Kansas State
The Dolphins need help with their running game, given that their backs are free agents. Deuce Vaughn is an instinctive, elusive and quick runner.

Pick change; previously Emmanuel Forbes, CB

  22. Los Angeles Chargers: Mekhi Garner, CB, LSU LSU
The Chargers haven’t been able to stop the pass because of some shoddy cornerback play this year.

Mekhi Garner is a tall cornerback with good instincts.

Pick change; previously Jarrick Bernard-Converse, CB

  23. Baltimore Ravens: Julian Brents, CB, Kansas State
The Ravens need to think about getting younger at cornerback.

Julian Brents is a 6-3 cornerback who is a hard tackler.

  24. Minnesota Vikings: Max Duggan, QB, TCU
The Vikings could stand to draft a quarterback to eventually challenge for the starting job.

Max Duggan is a smart and tough quarterback who has a better arm than people give him credit for.

  25. Jacksonville Jaguars: Chris Rodriguez, RB, Kentucky Kentucky
Travis Etienne isn’t used as a receiver out of the backfield for some reason, so here’s a complement for him.

Chris Rodriguez is a power back who gets nice yards after contact.

Pick change; previously Deuce Vaughn, RB

  26. New York Giants: Olusegun Oluwatimi, C, Michigan Michigan
The Giants may lose Jon Feliciano this offseason, so they’ll need to re-sign or replace him.

Olusegun Oluwatimi could be limited to center because of a lack of length.

  27. Dallas Cowboys: Dontayvion Wicks, WR, Virginia Virginia
The Cowboys are desperate for a receiver, so it’d be shocking if they didn’t draft one in the first three rounds.

Dontayvion Wicks is a lengthy receiver who broke out during his ’21 season.

  28. Buffalo Bills: Jaxon Kirkland, G, Washington Washington
The Bills need to bolster Josh Allen’s pass protection, which they can do at some point on Day 2.

Jaxon Kirkland can play right tackle, but seems like a better fit at guard.

Pick change; previously Derick Hall, DE

  29. Cincinnati Bengals: Anthony Johnson, CB, Virginia Virginia
The Bengals could stand to add some cornerback depth to help defend the Buffalo and Kansas City passing attacks.

Anthony Johnson is a big cornerback who needs to show that he’s agile enough to run with speed receivers.

Pick change; previously Anthony Johnson, CB

  30. Carolina Panthers: Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE/OLB, Kansas State Kansas State
The Panthers missed Hasson Reddick this season, so they could use a linebacker who can play all over the field and rush the passer.

Best fit for the 3-4, Felix Anudike-Uzomah was highly productive in ’21.

Pick change; previously Amari Burney, LB

  31. Philadelphia Eagles: Nick Hampton, LB, Appalachian State Appalachian State
No one in Philadelphia will ever be upset about the Eagles spending a high resource on a linebacker.

Nick Hampton is a very versatile linebacker.

  32. Kansas City Chiefs: Devon Achane, RB, Texas A&M Texas A&M
Jerick McKinnon is an impending free agent, while Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been a big disappointment. The Chiefs need another running back to pair with Isiah Pacheco.

Devon Achane can be a dynamic third-down back in the NFL.

Pick change; previously Amari Burney, LB
