This is a 2019 NFL Draft Re-Mock. I’m going back to 2019 and re-distributing all of the 2019 NFL Draft prospects to all of the teams in the 2019 NFL Draft order. This 2019 NFL Draft Re-Mock is based on how these players have performed in their careers, as well as the needs each team had back in 2019.

  1. New York Giants: Devin White, LB, LSU
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Dexter Lawrence, DT
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Clelin Ferrell, DE/OLB

    I have a friend who’s a Giants fan, and every single spring, he asks me, “Walt, is this the year the Giants finally draft a talented linebacker?” This is a position that has been a weakness for a long time, so drafting Devin White would have fixed that if he were available.

  2. Minnesota Vikings: Byron Murphy, CB, Washington
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Garrett Bradbury, C
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Garrett Bradbury, C

    The Vikings eventually signed Byron Murphy away from the Cardinals. They could have gotten all of his years of service had they drafted him here to address their secondary.

  3. Tennessee Titans: Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Jeffery Simmons, DT
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Dexter Lawrence, DT

    The Titans were clearly interested in a defensive tackle. Jeffery Simmons and Dexter Lawrence are long gone, but they can still get a talented player at the position with this pick.



  4. Pittsburgh Steelers: T.J. Edwards, LB, Wisconsin
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Devin Bush, LB
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Rock Ya-Sin, CB

    The Steelers traded up from No. 20 to 10 for Devin Bush, which turned out to be a huge mistake. What they should have done instead was stay put and draft another linebacker from the Big Ten to replace Ryan Shazier.

  5. Seattle Seahawks: Elgton Jenkins, C/G, Mississippi State
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: L.J. Collier, DE
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Rashan Gary, DE/DT

    The Seahawks were known for having a poor offensive line in front of Russell Wilson. They could have done something about that by drafting a talented interior blocker capable of playing multiple positions.



  6. Baltimore Ravens: Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Marquise Brown, WR
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Elgton Jenkins, G

    The Ravens drafted Marquise Brown to fill a need at receiver, but they obtained an inconsistent player at the position. Terry McLaurin would have been a better, more reliable option.

  7. Houston Texans: Kaleb McGary, OT, Washington
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Tytus Howard, OT
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Cody Ford, G

    Houston’s offensive line was considered a disaster when Deshaun Watson was quarterbacking the team. They drafted Tytus Howard, but Kaleb McGary would have been a much better option, as he has become a great right tackle.



  8. Oakland Raiders: Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Josh Jacobs, RB
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Josh Jacobs, RB

    Mike Mayock found some gems in the middle rounds, but most of his Thursday selections were disastrous. Josh Jacobs was a rare exception. He’s been excellent, especially during the 2022 season.

  9. Philadelphia Eagles: Jakobi Meyers, WR, N.C. State
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Andre Dillard, OT
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Marquise Brown, WR

    The Eagles have a great receiving corps at the moment, but they were lacking at the position back in 2019. I thought Marquise Brown was a great option for them, but in this scenario, they’d settle for Jakobi Meyers, who has been an underrated player throughout his career.



  10. Indianapolis Colts: Jamel Dean, CB, Auburn
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Rock Ya-Sin, CB
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Johnathan Abram, S

    The Colts had problems with their secondary entering the 2019 NFL Draft, as you can see by the actual and projected picks. They settled for Rock Ya-Sin, but they would have been better off with Jamel Dean.

  11. Oakland Raiders: Juan Thornhill, S, Virginia
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Johnathan Abram, S
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Noah Fant, TE

    Josh Jacobs panned out for the Raiders. Johnathan Abrams did not. The Raiders could still draft a safety in this scenario, but they’d go after a player who has actually made something of himself in the NFL.

  12. Los Angeles Chargers: Nate Davis, G, Charlotte
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Jerry Tillery, DT
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Jawaan Taylor, OT

    The Chargers had problems protecting Philip Rivers during the final stages of his career, so they’d be interested in the talented Nate Davis with this pick.

  13. Seattle Seahawks: Kaden Elliss, LB, Idaho
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Marquise Blair, S
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Nasir Adderley, S

    Bobby Wagner wasn’t too far away from leaving for the Rams at this stage, and the Seahawks needed to improve their pass rush. A do-it-all linebacker would have been a nice addition for Seattle.

  14. Green Bay Packers: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Darnell Savage, S
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Juan Thornhill, S

    The Packers drafted “No Cookie” Jordan Love a year after this. Perhaps they’d be interested in Kyler Murray in this scenario as a future successor for Aaron Rodgers.

  15. Los Angeles Rams: Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: Taylor Rapp, S
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Erik McCoy, C

    The Rams had issues at linebacker for years during Sean McVay’s early seasons in Los Angeles. The Rams eventually signed Bobby Wagner, but they could have obtained a talented player at the position with this pick.

  16. New England Patriots: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
    Actual 2019 NFL Draft Pick: N’Keal Harry, WR
    My 2019 NFL Mock Draft Pick: Parris Campbell, WR

    Bill Belichick has a dubious history with drafting receivers. Most of his wideout picks have failed, but Marquise Brown would have bucked that trend. I have the Patriots taking another skill player in my 2018 NFL Mock Re-Draft.
