  1. Philadelphia Eagles: Christian Wilkins, DT, Clemson
This is not addressing one of the top needs, but it’s using the strategy of selecting the best player available. Doug Pederson comes from the Andy Reid mindset where bolstering the trenches is paramount. Besides, an easy way to improve a struggling secondary is adding more players who can pressure the quarterback.

Christian Wilkins has superior speed and athleticism as an interior disruptor.

Pick change; previously Jeffery Simmons, DT

  2. Baltimore Ravens: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama
The Ravens have a great group of cornerbacks, but Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr will turn 31 and 33 this offseason, respectively. Also, Smith, who is not having a good year, will be entering his contract season while being owed close to $10 million.

Trevon Diggs, younger brother of Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs, began as a receiver at Alabama, but was tremendous this season at cornerback before suffering a foot injury.

Pick change; previously Damien Harris, RB

  3. Green Bay Packers: Zach Allen, DE/DT, Boston College
Muhammad Wilkerson played well for the Packers in two-and-a-half games, but he’s out for the season, and he signed just a 1-year contract anyway. A replacement will be needed if he leaves.

Zach Allen needs to develop more pass-rushing moves, but he has a nice combination of size and strength, and he happens to be a stout run defender and a quality pass-rusher.

  4. Minnesota Vikings: Tre Lamar, LB, Clemson
The Vikings have some great defensive players, but they have a major weakness, which is their inability to cover in space. Their linebacking corps needs an injection of talent.

Tre Lamar missed a chunk of the 2017 season with injuries, but he projects as a potential first-round pick because of his length, speed and upside.

  5. Oakland Raiders: Montez Sweat, DE/OLB, Mississippi State
As mentioned earlier, the Raiders’ top need is an edge rusher, thanks to the Khalil Mack trade. This is great value, as Montez Sweat could go in the top 15.

Sweat registered 10.5 sacks in his first season, and he has major potential. He has a big frame and could stand to pack on 20 pounds of muscle, so the potential is there.

Pick change; previously Deionte Thompson, S

  6. Seattle Seahawks: Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame
The Seahawks’ defense has regressed this year. Everyone points to the Legion of Boom, but Seattle also lost several starters on the defensive line.

Jerry Tillery is in the process of having a terrific season. If the defensive tackle class wasn’t so strong, he’d go much higher.

Pick change; previously Dexter Lawrence, DT

  7. Houston Texans: Cody Ford, G, Oklahoma
The Texans would be crazy if they passed on an opportunity to upgrade their atrocious offensive line. They’ve gotten Deshaun Watson so banged up that he can fly on airplanes.

Cody Ford is a 335-pound right tackle at Oklahoma who should move to guard at the next level. He has very good athleticism for his massive frame.

  8. Cincinnati Bengals: Albert Okwuegbunan, TE, Missouri
“It’s unclear how long Tyler Eifert will last before suffering his next injury. If he gets hurt again, here’s a replacement.” I literally wrote that the week before the season-ending injury. Poor Eifert.

The athletic Albert Okwuegbunan had a coming-out party against Georgia and should be the first tight end off the board in the 2019 NFL Draft.

  9. Pittsburgh Steelers: Mack Wilson, LB, Alabama
The Steelers failed to replace Ryan Shazier this past offseason. They’ll continue to struggle defensively again this year, so they’ll need to make sure they finally obtain someone who can fill Shazier’s shoes.

  10. Washington Redskins: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
The Redskins signed Paul Richardson this offseason, but he’s not a No. 1 receiver. This is something Washington could pursue next spring.

Marquise Brown is a small receiver (5-11, 162), but he can bolt for the end zone any time he gets his hands on the ball.

  11. Los Angeles Chargers: Dre’Mont Jones, DT, Ohio State
The Chargers looked soft up the middle against the Rams, as they struggled to stop Todd Gurley and apply pressure on Jared Goff. They’ve needed help at defensive tackle for some time.

Dre’Mont Jones has a first-round skill set, according to sources Charlie Campbell reached out to.

Pick change; previously Christian Wilkins, DT

  12. Carolina Panthers: Deionte Thompson, S, Alabama
This is a steal for the Panthers, as they’re getting a potential top-15 prospect who fills a huge need. Carolina’s safeties are woeful, so this selection would provide a huge boost to the secondary.

Deionte Thompson has a great blend of size (6-2, 196), speed and athleticism. He’s been very productive replacing Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Pick change; previously Trevon Diggs, CB

  13. New England Patriots: Irv Smith Jr., TE, Alabama
The Patriots tried to trade Rob Gronkowski last offseason, and now we see why. Gronkowski is a shell of his former self, so here’s a replacement.

Irv Smith Jr. is a dangerous threat after the catch, and he has good route-running skills and nice hands.

Pick change; previously Dre’Mont Jones, DT

  14. Green Bay Packers: Jachai Polite, DE/OLB, Florida
The Packers should look into adding a young edge rusher, as the frustrated Clay Matthews will turn 33 a couple of weeks following the 2019 NFL Draft.

Jachai Polite has a ton of upside. He didn’t do much in 2016, but he has a couple of sacks through half the season. He’s been having a strong 2018 campaign, including the LSU victory where he drew lots of double teams.

  15. Kansas City Chiefs: Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson
The Chiefs need to replace Marcus Peters at some point, and they could do it with three picks in the first two rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Trayvon Mullen is a 6-foot-2 corner who was highly recruited and could be a mid-first-round pick with a strong 2018 campaign.

  16. Los Angeles Rams: Amani Oruwariye, CB, Penn State
The Rams were supposed to have great play from their cornerbacks this year, but that hasn’t been the case because both Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters have been injured. That’s the sort of thing that happens when relying on old players at corner, so the Rams may want to inject some youth at the position.

Amani Oruwariye is a big cornerback (6-1, 203) who possesses some quickness. Long speed is a question mark, but if he shows well at the combine, he could be a first-round pick.

Pick change; previously Jalen Jelks, DE
