  1. Arizona Cardinals: Lonnie Johnson, CB, Kentucky
The Cardinals have major issues on offense, but there are some defensive problems they must correct as well. They’ve lacked a potent starting cornerback across from Patrick Peterson for quite some time now.

Lonnie Johnson has great size (6-2, 210) and terrific arm length (32 1/4 inches).

  2. Oakland Raiders: Kelvin Harmon, WR, N.C. State
Jon Gruden prefers his receivers to be veterans, but he could still take a player at the position in Rounds 3-5, given the severe need.

Kelvin Harmon is a good route-runner who has made some clutch catches. He could be a No. 2 possession receiver in the pros.

Pick change; previously Will Grier, QB

  3. San Francisco 49ers: Austin Bryant, DE, Clemson
The 49ers could stand to add another edge rusher in Rounds 3-5 if they don’t land Nick Bosa.

Pick change; previously Carl Granderson, DE

  4. New York Jets: Trey Pipkins, OT, Sioux Falls
The Jets’ offensive line last year was just 18th in adjusted sack rate, while their run blocking was the league’s worst.

Trey Pipkins was outstanding at the East-West Shrine Game. Competition level is an issue for him, but the Shrine performance quells that. He has plus length and strength to be a tackle in the NFL.

Pick change; previously Jalen Jelks, DE

  5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Taylor Rapp, S, Washington
Barry Church is no longer in the Jaguars’ plans, so they’ll need to find some help at safety.

  6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Saivion Smith, CB, Alabama
Anyone who has paid attention to the Buccaneers at all knows how desperate they are for cornerback help. They need to acquire multiple new players at the position.

  7. Denver Broncos: Tre Lamar, LB, Clemson
The Broncos have needed help at inside linebacker ever since Danny Trevathan departed for Chicago following the Super Bowl. Here’s their chance to finally upgrade the position.

Tre Lamar missed a chunk of the 2017 season with injuries, but he projects as a potential early-round pick because of his length, speed and upside.

Pick change; previously Mack Wilson, LB

  8. Cincinnati Bengals: Will Grier, QB, West Virginia
The Bengals need to find a young quarterback to develop behind Andy Dalton. They could obtain a signal-caller in the middle rounds.

Pick change; previously Tre Lamar, LB

  9. New England Patriots: Kaden Smith, TE, Stanford
The Patriots need players who can get open. They had a pair in Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon, but the latter has been suspended indefinitely. Rob Gronkowski, meanwhile, moves around like he needs a walker. It’s sad, but Gronkowski’s playing days look finished.

  10. Buffalo Bills: Michael Deiter, G/C, Wisconsin
The Bills can’t take another offensive lineman later than the third round. They must protect Josh Allen at all cost.

Michael Deiter has started at center and guard for Wisconsin, so teams will like his versatility.

  11. Green Bay Packers: Jace Sternberger, TE, Texas A&M
Jimmy Graham looked decrepit last season, so the Packers could be in the market for a tight end early in the 2019 NFL Draft.

  12. Washington Redskins: Garrett Bradbury, C, N.C. State
The Redskins have one of the worst centers in the NFL, so that’s a position they’ll sorely need to upgrade.

Garrett Bradberry is an athletic center who used to be a former tight end.

  13. Carolina Panthers: Darnell Savage, S, Maryland
The Panthers re-signed Eric Reid, but they could use another safety to help their poor secondary.

Darnell Savage is small (5-11, 200), but has good speed and instincts.

  14. Miami Dolphins: Connor McGovern, G/C, Penn State
The Dolphins couldn’t block whatsoever against the Patriots. They’ll need to repair multiple spots on their offensive line, including center.

  15. Atlanta Falcons: Jalen Jelks, DE, Oregon
Here’s more help for Atlanta’s defensive front. Takk McKinley has gotten into trouble. Adrian Clayborn was never replaced. Meanwhile, Vic Beasley has been a huge disappointment recently, so if he doesn’t improve, there might be consideration to replace him.

Jalen Jelks will need to add some weight if he wants to play in a 4-3, but he has the potential to be versatile enough to fit any scheme.

Pick change; previously Joe Jackson, DE

  16. Cleveland Browns: Terrill Hanks, LB, New Mexico State
The Browns need to bring in another linebacker to join Joe Schobert, as they could’ve used Mychal Kendricks’ production last season.

  17. Minnesota Vikings: L.J. Collier, DE, TCU
Everson Griffen has mental issues that could resurface, so the Vikings may opt to pursue a defensive end in the first half of the 2019 NFL Draft.

L.J. Collier is a tough run defender, but his body needs lots of development.

Pick change; previously Austin Bryant, DE

  18. Tennessee Titans: Ross Pierschbacher, C/G, Alabama
As mentioned earlier, the Titans need to beef up their offensive line so Marcus Mariota isn’t sacked 11 times in a single game again.

Pick change; previously Austin Bryant, DE

  19. Pittsburgh Steelers: Blace Brown, CB, Troy
The Steelers had major issues at cornerback this past season. They’ll have to address that problem in free agency or early in the 2019 NFL Draft.

  20. Seattle Seahawks: Joejuan Williams, CB, Vanderbilt
The Legion of Boom is no more. The Seahawks need another cornerback to create a new version of it.

Joejuan Williams is a big press corner who would fit in a Seattle style of defense.

  21. Baltimore Ravens: J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, WR, Stanford
John Brown is an impending free agent, while Michael Crabtree doesn’t have much remaining in the tank, so the Ravens could use an early pick on a receiver.

J.J. Arcega-Whiteside has speed concerns, but he’s a mismatch receiver with great size (6-3, 225).

  22. Houston Texans: Marcus Norman, OT, South Florida
Here’s another offensive line upgrade for the Texans, who must do everything in their power to make sure Deshaun Watson is protected well.

Marcus Norman had a great 2018 season, as scouts were impressed with his length and athleticism.

  23. Chicago Bears: Oshane Ximines, DE/OLB, Old Dominion
The Bears could use another edge rusher with Leonard Floyd’s contract set to expire soon.

Oshane Ximines was a very productive edge rusher for Old Dominion.

  24. Detroit Lions: Mecole Hardman, WR/KR, Georgia
Detroit’s offense suffered a sharp decline after Golden Tate was traded. Here’s a replacement for Tate.

Outside of scoring touchdowns, which can be fluky, Mecole Hardman wasn’t very productive in 2018 with just 30 catches in regular-season play. That said, Hardman has blazing speed and can double as a kick returner. He’s someone who should’ve definitely returned to school, as he’s not a finished product as a receiver.

  25. Indianapolis Colts: Cameron Smith, LB, USC
The Colts found a stud in Darius Leonard. They could stand to add another talented linebacker to the group.

  26. Dallas Cowboys: Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson
Here’s more help for Dallas’ secondary. The team could use another talented cornerback to go along with Byron Jones.

Trayvon Mullen is a 6-foot-2 corner who was highly recruited. However, he has disappointed team sources, so it sounds like he’ll be taken in the Round 2-4 range.

  27. Los Angeles Chargers: Edwin Alexander, NT, LSU
Brandon Mebane is an impending 34-year-old free agent whom the Chargers may want to replace this offseason so that they aren’t gashed by the likes of Sony Michel again.

Edwin Alexander is a monstrous run-stuffing nose tackle. He missed some time with a knee in 2018.

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Ken Webster, CB, Ole Miss
The Chiefs need help at cornerback, as they’re weak at the position outside of Kendall Fuller and Steve Nelson.

  29. New York Jets: Darrell Henderson, RB, Memphis
The Jets don’t have a viable starting running back on their roster, which needs to change if they want Sam Darnold to improve going forward.

Darrell Henderson is undersized, but can be a solid rotational speed back.

  30. Los Angeles Rams: Jordan Brailford, DE/OLB, Oklahoma State
Dante Fowler may not be back in Los Angeles next year, so the Rams could be in the market for a new edge rusher.

  31. Cleveland Browns: Yodny Cajuste, OT, West Virginia
The Browns can’t consider Greg Robinson to be a long-term option at left tackle. Here’s a potential replacement.

Yodney Cajuste tore his ACL in 2016, but was a terrific left tackle for Will Grier after that.

  32. Washington Redskins: Lil’Jordan Humphrey, WR, Texas
The Redskins need some receiving help, so their awarded third-round pick could be used to address this area.

Lil’Jordan Humphrey is a big, fast receiver who would be slotted higher in this mock draft if he didn’t have multiple off-the-field issues.

  33. New England Patriots: Rock Ya-Sin, CB, Temple
Jason McCourty announced that he will return for 2019, but it’s unlikely that he’ll play much longer beyond next season. The Patriots could use one of their many compensatory picks on a new corner.

  34. Jacksonville Jaguars: David Sills, WR, West Virginia
The Jaguars need to give their new franchise quarterback a No. 1 receiver to throw to, as they currently don’t have any potent downfield threats.

David Sills has great size at 6-4, 203, and his hands are a positive attribute as well.

  35. Los Angeles Rams: David Montgomery, RB, Iowa State
The Rams will need a viable backup behind Todd Gurley if C.J. Anderson leaves.

Pick change; previously Ross Pierschbacher, C/G

  36. Carolina Panthers: Tytus Howard, OT, Alabama State
The Panthers need to put extra effort into protecting Cam Newton, who seems to be developing chronic shoulder issues. A new left tackle is needed.

Pick change; previously Darrell Savage, S

  37. New England Patriots: Amani Hooker, S/LB/CB, Iowa
Amani Hooker is very versatile; he can play safety, linebacker and cornerback. I’m sure Bill Belichick will value his versatility.

  38. Baltimore Ravens: Deionte Thompson, S, Alabama
The Ravens could go after a young safety, given that Eric Weddle turned 34 this offseason.

Deionte Thompson has a great blend of size (6-2, 196), speed and athleticism. However, he struggled mightily in the second half of the 2018 season, causing his stock to drop.
