  1. Cleveland Browns: Marcus Maye, S, Florida
The Browns fixed some of their issues on offense in the first round by selecting a franchise quarterback and a right tackle. Now, they have to take care of their defense, and the worst part of that is their horrible secondary, which surrenders tons of big plays each game. The Browns have some of the worst safeties in the NFL, so they need to make some upgrades.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
I don’t understand why the 49ers avoided addressing the receiver position until late in the 2016 NFL Draft. How did they not realize that they have such a huge need in that area?

  3. Chicago Bears: Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
The Bears selected a quarterback in Round 1. Now, they’ll have to protect him. Chicago’s interior offensive line is great, but help is desperately needed at tackle.

Pick change; previously Julie’n Davenport, OT

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ethan Pocic, C/G, LSU
The Jaguars are trying Luke Joeckel at guard, but it doesn’t appear as though he’s cutting it there either. They’ll have to spend an early selection on an upgrade.

  5. New York Jets: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
Here he is. As mentioned in Round 1, teams have really soured on Deshaun Watson. No team we’ve spoken to has him as a first-round prospect. One high-ranking personnel man in the NFC told me he has Watson as a third-round prospect. It’s so much like the Teddy Bridgewater draft, when the media had Bridgewater in the first round, and yet NFL franchises considered him to be a second-day prospect, even before his woeful pro day.

I have to believe the Jets would be thrilled to land Watson here, however. They have nothing at quarterback, and that includes last year’s second-round choice, Christian Hackenberg, who is a sunk cost.

  6. Cincinnati Bengals: Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio State
We’ve gotten a good look at what Cincinnati’s offense is like without A.J. Green, and it’s not pretty. The Bengals don’t really have any viable downfield weapons aside from Green. Tyler Boyd has some potential, but Andy Dalton needs more weapons.

Pick change; previously Taco Chartlon, DE

  7. Carolina Panthers: Julie’n Davenport, OT, Bucknell
The Panthers desperately need to do something about their offensive line. The tackles were first exposed in the Super Bowl, and the situation has gotten worse since.

Pick change; previously Gareon Conley, CB

  8. Los Angeles Rams: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan
The Rams keep waiting for Brian Quick to do something, but it’s not happening. They need to find another weapon for Jared Goff.

Pick change; previously Pat Elflein, C

  9. Arizona Cardinals: Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa
Calais Campbell will be a 31-year-old free agent entering next offseason. It goes without saying that the Cardinals will have to replace him if he leaves.

Pick change; previously DeMarcus Walker, DE/DT

  10. Green Bay Packers: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State
Sam Shields has long-term health concerns, so the Packers may want to think about spending an early draft choice on a cornerback just in case he can never play again. The secondary has been an utter mess this year.

Pick change; previously Alvin Kamara, RB

  11. New Orleans Saints: Raekwon McMillan, LB, Ohio State
I still can’t believe the Saints signed James Laurinaitis. Did they not watch how horrible he was for the Rams? Seriously, what were they thinking?

  12. Philadelphia Eagles: Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
The Eagles have been playing musical chairs with their running backs this season because the coaching staff doesn’t really have confidence in anyone at the position to be the every-down carrier. The front office will want to change that this offseason.

Pick change; previously Curtis Samuel, WR

  13. San Diego Chargers: Chris Wormley, DE/DT, Michigan
When the Chargers selected Joey Bosa at No. 3 overall, there was some speculation that he would play on the defensive line, which didn’t turn out to be true. Bosa has been outstanding, but San Diego needs to bolster the defensive end spot across from Corey Liuget.

Pick change; previously Corey Davis, WR

  14. Indianapolis Colts: Takkarist McKinley, DE/OLB, UCLA
The Colts desperately need to upgrade their linebacking corps. That includes finding a potent edge rusher, which is something they currently lack right now. Erik Walden sucks; Trent Cole is old; while Robert Mathis is even older.

  15. Cleveland Browns: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
Joe Haden got off to a strong start this season, but has been injured lately. The Browns have nothing else at cornerback anyway. That’ll obviously need to change, and this draft is loaded with talented players at the position.

  16. Minnesota Vikings: Dion Dawkins, OT, Temple
I’m sure that if the Vikings had the cap space, they would’ve used this pick to trade for Joe Thomas. Alas, they do not, so they can try to remedy their awful tackle situation by picking one at this juncture.

  17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
The Buccaneers could stand to give Jameis Winston another weapon, and an upgrade at tight end would help in the wake of Austin Seferian-Jenkins’ release.

  18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
DeAngelo Williams won’t be around much longer, so the Steelers will need a viable backup running back just in case Le’Veon Bell gets suspended again.

  19. Buffalo Bills: Justin Evans, S, Texas A&M
It’s unfortunate, but it’s possible that Aaron Williams’ career could be over because of that ridiculous hit he took from Jarvis Landry. If so, the Bills will have to target a safety in free agency or the early stages of the 2017 NFL Draft.

  20. Denver Broncos: Charles Walker, DT, Oklahoma
Charles Walker would be a nice fit in Denver’s defense, as the Broncos have to bolster the interior of their front to improve against the rush.

  21. Houston Texans: Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State
It’s unfortunate that Derek Newton’s career could be over because of a double patellar tendon tear. The Texans will have to find a new right tackle.

  22. Baltimore Ravens: Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
The Ravens could stand to pick up a new running back. Terrance West is just a middling talent, while Kenneth Dixon not being able to supplant West has to be discouraging.

  23. Washington Redskins: Anthony Walker, ILB, Northwestern
The two positions the Redskins need to upgrade most on defense happen to be defensive end and inside linebacker. They can take care of the latter here with one of the top prospects remaining on the board.

Pick change; previously Jaleel Johnson, DE/DT

  24. Detroit Lions: Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan
The Lions have a great cornerback in Darius Slay, but not much else at the position in the wake of Rashean Mathis’ retirement. Unless Johnthan Banks can finally live up to expectations, Detroit will have to find a new corner this upcoming offseason.

Pick change; previously Chris Wormley, DE/DT

  25. Atlanta Falcons: Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
The Falcons could stand to upgrade Chris Chester, the one liability that they currently possess on their offensive line. Dan Feeney won’t be able to teach his teammates much until he’s a veteran, but he could provide an upgrade on the interior of the front.

  26. Miami Dolphins: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
It’s safe to say that the Dolphins haven’t exactly gotten what they had expected out of Jordan Cameron, though not all of that is his fault, given his concussion issues. Here’s a much-needed upgrade at tight end.

  27. Seattle Seahawks: Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan
I thought there was a good chance that the Seahawks would upgrade their edge rush last offseason, but they didn’t pull the trigger. They can make amends for that at this juncture, and there’s never anything wrong with adding extra talented pass-rushers.

Pick change; previously Carl Lawson, DE

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Cordrea Tankersley, CB, Clemson
Sean Smith’s departure has been felt this year, particularly in the loss to the Buccaneers when Kansas City had no one to cover Mike Evans in Marcus Peters’ absence.

Pick change; previously Jourdan Lewis, CB

  29. New York Giants: D’Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
I’m not sure how much faith the Giants have in Paul Perkins, but I’m sure they would’ve named him the starter over Rashad Jennings by now if they liked him a lot. Jennings isn’t getting it done, so New York needs to find a new running back.

Pick change; previously Anthony Walker, LB

  30. New England Patriots: Pat Elflein, C/G, Ohio State
The Patriots could use some help on the offensive line, namely at tackle and center. Pat Elflein can play all three positions on the interior, and Bill Belichick loves blockers with versatility.

Pick change; previously Mason Cole, C

  31. Oakland Raiders: Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn
The Raiders could stand to bolster their pass rush, as it’s unclear if Aldon Smith will be able to stay out of trouble going forward.

Pick change; previously Marquis Haynes, DE/OLB

  32. Dallas Cowboys: Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
Jason Witten doesn’t have much time remaining in the NFL, so the Cowboys could stand to use an early selection on a tight end.
