  1. Cleveland Browns: Ryan Smith, CB, N.C. Central
The Browns have a new front office, so there’s no obligation to keep Justin Gilbert on the roster. They need a cornerback, as Tramon Williams can’t really start much longer.

  2. Cleveland Browns: Miles Killebrew, S, Southern Utah
Tashaun Gipson was one of the many talented players Cleveland lost this offseason. The team will have to find a replacement for him and all of the others somehow.

Pick change; previously Le’Raven Clark, OT

  3. Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Ervin, RB, San Jose State
Darren McFadden looked good this past season, but the Cowboys can’t really count on him for the long term. The same goes for Alfred Morris. Here’s their running back of the future.

  4. San Diego Chargers: Jerell Adams, TE, South Carolina
The Chargers re-signed Antonio Gates this offseason, but managed to lose Ladarius Green in the process. As a result, they’ll have to find a new, young tight end to take over for Gates once he retires.

Pick change; previously Jihad Ward, DE/DT

  5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jalen Mills, S, LSU
The Jaguars signed Tashaun Gipson this offseason, but they may not be done at safety. John Cyprien has struggled at the other spot, so here’s some needed competition.

Pick change; previously Alex McCalister, DE/OLB

  6. Baltimore Ravens: Charles Tapper, DE, Oklahoma
The Ravens are also in need of another edge rusher, as Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil aren’t going to be around much longer.

  7. San Francisco 49ers: Charone Peake, WR, Clemson
The 49ers are so desperate at receiver that they could select multiple players at the position in the first few rounds.

  8. Chicago Bears: Shon Coleman, OT, Auburn
Ronnie Stanley and Jack Conklin are both options at No. 11 overall for a reason. The Bears’ tackle situation is a complete mess, and it needs to be addressed at some point.

Pick change; previously Devontae Booker, RB

  9. Miami Dolphins: B.J. Goodson, LB, Clemson
The Dolphins don’t have the best linebacking corps, and they tried to address the position in free agency. They never did, so here’s a potential solution.

  10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Connor Wujciak, DT, Boston College
The Buccaneers had numerous defensive tackles hitting free agency, so they could be looking for depth at the position in the middle rounds.

  11. New York Giants: Devontae Booker, RB, Utah
Tom Coughlin figured out that going with a rotation of Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen worked best, but it was already too late. It’s hard to count on Jennings for the long term, however, so here’s a potential running back of the future.

Pick change; previously DeAndre Houston-Carson, S

  12. Los Angeles Rams: Jack Allen, C, Michigan State
It’s no secret that the Rams have to upgrade the center position. Fortunately for them, they’re getting a steal at this juncture.

  13. Detroit Lions: Chris Moore, WR, Cincinnati
Calvin Johnson has announced his retirement, so the Lions will have to find a tertiary receiver to go along with Golden Tate and Marvin Jones.

  14. New Orleans Saints: Pharoh Cooper, WR, South Carolina
Marques Colston is done, and the Saints need someone to draw attention away from Brandin Cooks.

  15. Los Angeles Rams: Kenny Lawler, WR, California
The Rams obviously need to add some talent around their new quarterback, though that’ll be difficult to do, given the lack of draft choices.

  16. Oakland Raiders: Rashard Robinson, CB, LSU
Here’s more secondary help for the Raiders. Sean Smith was signed to go along with David Amerson, but depth could be used behind those two players.

  17. Atlanta Falcons: Joe Thuney, G, N.C. State
The Falcons made an important signing this offseason when acquiring Alex Mack, but they still need one more improvement on the interior of the offensive line to help Matt Ryan.

  18. Indianapolis Colts: Jordan Howard, RB, Indiana
Frank Gore doesn’t have much left in the tank, so the Colts will need to find someone who can take over in the near future.

  19. Buffalo Bills: Alex Collins, RB, Arkansas
I’m not sure if it was because of LeSean McCoy’s possible legal issues or not, but the Bills flirted with signing a running back this offseason. They definitely could use some depth at the position.

Pick change; previously Hassan Ridgeway, NT

  20. New York Jets: Joe Schobert, DE/OLB, Wisconsin
The Jets have needed help at outside linebacker for quite some time now. Finding a better pass rush would help take care of some of the issues in the secondary.

  21. Houston Texans: Jonathan Williams, RB, Arkansas
The Texans signed Lamar Miller, but are still in the market for another running back in the middle rounds.

  22. Washington Redskins: Evan Boehm, C, Missouri
One of the reasons Washington’s running game was so erratic was because the team has gotten poor play out of its center. This is the primary position the Redskins need to upgrade up front.

  23. Minnesota Vikings: Maurice Canady, CB, Virginia
The Vikings could stand to benefit adding some depth to the interior of their defensive front.

  24. Cincinnati Bengals: Briean Boddy-Calhoun, CB, Minnesota
Pacman Jones was terrific this past season, but with he and Leon Hall both older than 30, the Bengals will have to find some young blood at cornerback.

  25. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jerald Hawkins, OT, LSU
Some Steeler supporters back Alejandro Villanueva, but the fact remains that Pittsburgh tried to upgrade him via free agency. A mid-round choice could be used on competition.

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Joe Haeg, OT, North Dakota State
The Seahawks lost Bruce Irvin to free agency, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone if they draft a linebacker who can rush the passer at some point.

  27. Green Bay Packers: Paul Perkins, RB, UCLA
The Packers managed to re-sign James Starks, but running back remains a need because of Eddie Lacy’s weight problems (though from pictures, he looks like he’s shed an entire human being.)

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Kentrell Brothers, ILB, Missouri
Derrick Johnson’s return to the lineup has been huge for Kansas City’s defense, but the team has a weakness right next to Johnson. Also, it needs to be considered that Johnson just turned 33, so he doesn’t have many dominant years left.

  29. Chicago Bears: Nick Vigil, LB, Utah State
The Bears signed Danny Trevathan and Jerrell Freeman this offseason, but they could still draft a linebacker in the middle rounds for depth purposes.

  30. Arizona Cardinals: Jonathan Jones, CB, Auburn
The Cardinals tried to sign a cornerback in free agency, which makes sense because they never properly replaced Antonio Cromartie. They failed to do so, which means a pick like this one makes sense.

  31. Carolina Panthers: D.J. White, CB, Georgia Tech
The Panthers were expected to draft a cornerback prior to Josh Norman’s release. Thus, there’s potential for them to select two corners in the first four or five rounds.

Pick change; previously Jerald Hawkins, OT

  32. Baltimore Ravens: Tavon Young, CB, Temple
It’s certainly possible that the Ravens will double up on cornerbacks, given how dire the need at the position happens to be.

  33. Green Bay Packers: Matt Ioannidis, DT, Temple
Adding a second defensive end makes sense for the Packers, who need to improve the trenches on both sides of the ball.

Pick change; previously Paul Perkins, RB

  34. Baltimore Ravens: Scooby Wright, LB, Arizona
Daryl Smith’s play has dropped off recently, so seeing him leave isn’t a big loss. However, he needs to be replaced.

  35. San Francisco 49ers: Brandon Allen, QB, Arkansas
Even if the 49ers plan on starting Blaine Gabbert next year, they still have to draft a quarterback at some point, right?

  36. Baltimore Ravens: Joe Dahl, G/OT, Washington State
The Ravens were fortunate enough to land Laremy Tunsil in the first round, but they can’t be done addressing their offensive line. A replacement for Kelechi Osemele must be acquired.

  37. Dallas Cowboys: Kevon Seymour, CB, USC
The Cowboys have obvious issues at cornerback that they’ll need to fix, and I’m sure the athleticism of Kevon Seymour will intrigue them.

Pick change; previously Miles Killebrew, S

  38. Denver Broncos: Isaac Seumalo, C/G, Oregon State
I had the Broncos addressing the guard spot earlier. Here’s some help at center, where Matt Paradis can be upgraded.

  39. Green Bay Packers: Avery Young, OT, Auburn
The Packers had issues pass protecting last year because of a severe lack of depth. This needs to be addressed.

  40. Cleveland Browns: Daniel Lasco, RB, California
The Browns have talked about having higher-character players on the roster, so they may not want the lethargic Isaiah Crowell hanging around much longer.

  41. Buffalo Bills: Roberto Aguayo, K, Florida State
The Bills could use a kicker, and that position is now more important because of the new extra-point rule. The Bills could take Roberto Aguayo a round earlier than this.

Pick change; previously Sebastian Tretola, G
