*** This mock draft will be updated at least once per week (Tuesday afternoons and other times for important events.). Check out old versions of this 2015 NFL Mock Draft in the archived mock draft section. Follow @walterfootball for updates. ***

  1. Oakland Raiders: Mike Davis, RB, South Carolina
Darren McFadden won’t be around much longer, while Maurice Jones-Drew hasn’t shown that he can stay healthy. Mike Davis figures to be a big upgrade in the backfield.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

Pick change; previously Nick O’Leary, TE

  2. Jacksonville Jaguars: Nick O’Leary, TE, Florida State
Marcedes Lewis has been a huge disappointment since signing his contract, so the Jaguars need an upgrade. Lewis, 31 right after the 2015 NFL Draft, will be due nearly $7 million in the final season of his contract, so Jacksonville may cut him next offseason.

  3. Oakland Raiders: Michael Bennett, DT, Ohio State
The Raiders acquired this pick from the Buccaneers in the first round for Marcus Mariota. They can spend it on defense; Oakland signed a bunch of short-term solutions for the defensive tackle position this past offseason, but it’ll have to find players to fill the void in the future.

Pick change; previously Tre Jackson, G (Buccaneers)

  4. Tennessee Titans: Cody Prewitt, S, Ole Miss
The Titans need help all over their defense after their disgraceful showings against the Cowboys and Bengals. One area that may need to be addressed next offseason is the safety position. Michael Griffin will be due more than $6 million, so he could be released because of financial purposes. Bernard Pollard, meanwhile, just tore his Achilles.

  5. New York Jets: Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State
The Jets may have seen enough of Geno Smith. He’s only had a year and a half thus far, but Smith hasn’t shown any signs of improvement. New York could consequently spend an early selection on a quarterback.

Pick change; previously Mike Davis, RB

  6. Washington Redskins: Alex Carter, CB, Stanford
DeAngelo Hall, 31 in November, will be coming off a torn Achilles, and he has virtually no guaranteed money beyond 2014. David Amerson has been better this year, but he’s not a No. 1 corner.

Pick change; previously Jalen Collins, CB

  7. St. Louis Rams: Tre Jackson, G, Florida State
The Rams have interior offensive line problems – what else is new? – because Davin Joseph is struggling, even after beating out Greg Robinson for the starting job.

Pick change; previously A.J. Cann, G

  8. Minnesota Vikings: Cameron Erving, OT/G, Florida State
The Vikings seriously need to think about replacing Matt Kalil. He and Charlie Johnson both got Teddy Bridgewater killed against the Lions. It would be in Minnesota’s best interest to use an early pick on a lineman who can play both tackle and guard.

Pick change; previously Shaq Thompson, LB

  9. Buffalo Bills: Brett Hundley, QB, UCLA
The Bills can’t get a franchise quarterback in the first round, so perhaps they’ll obtain one here. They don’t really have any other choice. E.J. Manuel stinks, while Kyle Orton is obviously not the long-term answer.

  10. Houston Texans: Arik Armstead, DE/DT, Oregon
The Texans have struggled against the run this year because they miss Antonio Smith, whom they failed to replace this past offseason. Here’s an upgrade who will make their defensive front even more formidable.

Pick change; previously Sean Mannion, QB

  11. Pittsburgh Steelers: Rashad Greene, WR, Florida State
Markus Wheaton might be one of the worst starting receivers in the NFL. He and Ben Roethlisberger have developed zero chemistry. Pittsburgh needs an upgrade at wideout.

Pick change; previously Cameron Erving, OT/G

  12. Miami Dolphins: Jaquiski Tartt, S, Samford
Both Louis Delmas and Jimmy Wilson will be impending free agents this upcoming offseason, and all the Dolphins have waiting in the wings is 2014 fourth-rounder Walt Aikens. Miami will have to get younger and better at the safety position.

Pick change; previously Michael Bennett, DT

  13. Cleveland Browns: Ty Montgomery, WR, Stanford
Cleveland’s issues at the receiver position have been well-publicized. Josh Gordon will be back soon, but the Browns can’t count on him staying out of legal trouble.

  14. Atlanta Falcons: Corey Robinson, OT, South Carolina
The Jake Matthews pick has worked out thus far – or at least it seemed that way prior to the Giants’ game – but the Falcons could stand to add another offensive tackle because Sam Baker (and everyone else) is always hurt.

  15. Chicago Bears: Owamagbe Odighizuwa, DE, UCLA
The Bears signed a bunch of defensive ends last offseason, but some of them – mainly Jared Allen – are short-term rentals. Here’s a potential starter for the future.

  16. New York Giants: Ameer Abdullah, RB, Nebraska
Rashad Jennings is not the long-term answer for the Giants at running back. The front office may want to find someone who can complement the plodding Andre Williams.

  17. New Orleans Saints: Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State
The Saints have to make multiple upgrades to their linebacking corps. Finding someone who can actually tackle would be great.

  18. Kansas City Chiefs: A.J. Cann, G, South Carolina
Kansas City’s offensive line is a weak point, which has to enrage Andy Reid. The big coach loves to draft massive offensive linemen, and I’m sure he’ll have a blocker or two on his radar come April.

Pick change; previously Josue Matias, G

  19. Detroit Lions: Jalen Collins, CB, LSU
Both Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler had to be thrilled when the Lions selected Eric Ebron in the 2014 NFL Draft because they neglected their secondary once again. Perhaps that’ll change next spring.

Pick change; previously Christian Covington, DT

  20. Philadelphia Eagles: Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland
Jeremy Maclin will be a free agent in March. Riley Cooper has struggled since the middle of last season. Jordan Matthews has flashed potential, but he’s also been inconsistent. The Eagles could be interested in a big receiver next April if they don’t extend Maclin.

Pick change; previously Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB

  21. Carolina Panthers: Sean Hickey, OT, Syracuse
Cam Newton has gotten crushed behind a poor front thus far, so Carolina needs to address its offensive line early in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Rashad Greene, WR

  22. Cincinnati Bengals: Hroniss Grasu, C, Oregon
The Bengals don’t have very many needs, but they are especially weak at center, where rookie Russell Bodine has struggled for the most part thus far.

Pick change; previously Marcus Peters, CB

  23. Arizona Cardinals: Shaq Thompson, LB, Washington
It’s a shame that Daryl Washington can’t stay out of trouble because he’s a very talented player. Here’s a potential replacement.

Pick change; previously Carl Davis, DT

  24. New England Patriots: D.J. Humphries, OT/G, Florida
The Patriots’ biggest weakness is the offensive line. The interior can’t block at all, so Bill Belichick may trade away his next-best blocker for another tight end he won’t use. If not, I’m sure he’ll look at another Florida prospect.

Pick change; previously Stefon Diggs, WR

  25. Dallas Cowboys: Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia
The secondary is still a weak area for the Cowboys. They need to find upgrades at both cornerback and safety.

Pick change; previously Alvin Dupree, DE

  26. Baltimore Ravens: Nelson Agholor, WR, USC
Steve Smith looked done last year, but he’s actually trying now, and it’s paying off for Baltimore. However, Smith won’t last much longer, so the Ravens will have to find a new receiver.

  27. Indianapolis Colts: Carl Davis, DE/DT, Iowa
The Colts have to do everything in their power to upgrade their pass rush. Help is needed on the defensive front, as Cory Redding will be a 34-year-old free agent in March.

Pick change; previously Karl Joseph, S

  28. Green Bay Packers: Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB, Georgia
A value pick here, as Jordan Jenkins is the top player available. The Packers could use a successor for Julius Peppers.

Pick change; previously Sean Hickey, OT

  29. San Francisco 49ers: DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
If Michael Crabtree leaves via free agency, the 49ers will definitely have to do something about the receiver position.

Pick change; previously Arik Armstead, DE/DT

  30. San Diego Chargers: Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest
Without many major needs, the Chargers can afford to make luxury picks, such as adding to their secondary depth.

Pick change; previously DeVante Parker, WR

  31. Denver Broncos: Derron Smith, S, Fresno State
Rahim Moore is an impending free agent in March, so here’s a potential replacement for him.

  32. Seattle Seahawks: Christian Covington, DT, Rice
Jordan Hill has not panned out thus far, so the Seahawks will need long-term help at defensive tackle once Kevin Williams retires.

Pick change; previously Lorenzo Mauldin, DE/OLB
