*** This mock draft will be updated at least once per week (Tuesday afternoons and other times for important events.). Check out old versions of this 2015 NFL Mock Draft in the archived mock draft section. Follow @walterfootball for updates. ***

  1. Tennessee Titans: Ronald Darby, CB, Florida State
Most teams that pick a franchise quarterback usually go after an offensive weapon or a blocker in the following round. The Titans are so desperate at corner, however, that they could potentially break that rule in Round 2.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

Pick change; previously T.J. Clemmings, OT

  2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon
The Buccaneers need help at left tackle, as Anthony Collins is gone after just one awful season. Teams usually grab an offensive weapon or a blocker after choosing a franchise quarterback, so that’s what Tampa is doing here.

  3. Oakland Raiders: Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State
I had Kevin White going to the Raiders at No. 4 overall in a previous 2015 NFL Mock Draft. The Raiders could still take him, but if they don’t, they’ll have to look for a receiver with their next pick, as Derek Carr needs a primary target.

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut
The Jaguars signed Davon House to a terrible deal – check the NFL Free Agent Signing Grades page for details – but they still could use another cornerback, and Byron Jones has the size Gus Bradley likes.

And yes, Byron Jones could go this early. In fact, he could be chosen in the first round. He already had good tape, so he’s not just a workout warrior. The athleticism he displayed at the NFL Combine could push him into Thursday.

  5. New York Jets: T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama
Chris Johnson hit free agency after the Jets declined his option. Not like he was going to play much anyway if he returned. The Jets may want to bring in another running back to go with Chris Ivory.

  6. Washington Redskins: Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
The Redskins could pick Amari Cooper or Kevin White at No. 5 overall. If not, perhaps they’ll look at a receiver in the middle rounds. Pierre Garcon didn’t take to Jay Gruden’s scheme, so Washington may want a new starting receiver.

Pick change; previously Kevin Johnson, CB

  7. Chicago Bears: Jordan Phillips, NT, Oklahoma
The Bears could spend the No. 7 pick on Danny Shelton, but I think it’s more likely that they’ll find the nose tackle they need for their new 3-4 defense at some point on Day 2.

Pick change; previously Arik Armstead, DE/DT

  8. New York Giants: Malcom Brown, DE/DT, Texas
I had Malcom Brown too high last time, but he’s too low in this update. However, players can slip, and that’s what is happening to Brown here. The Giants will be happy to scoop him up, as they have a need at defensive tackle. Johnathan Hankins was a stud this past season, but he had very little help next to him. Mike Patterson looked done, so the Giants will have to address this position via the draft.

  9. St. Louis Rams: Marcus Peters, CB, Washington
The Rams have taken chances on troubled players before. Perhaps they’ll do that again if Marcus Peters falls to them in the second round. Cornerback currently isn’t a need, but two of St. Louis’ top three players at the position are heading into their contract year. It’s unlikely the Rams will be able to re-sign both, so here’s a potential starter for the 2016 season.

  10. Atlanta Falcons: Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota
The Falcons signed a couple of cheap tight ends this offseason, but that won’t preclude them from spending their second-round pick on an upgrade at the position. Matt Ryan needs a reliable intermediate target, and Kyle Shanahan loves utilizing tight ends in his offense.

  11. Cleveland Browns: Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn
The Browns need an offensive weapon, whether it’s at wide receiver or tight end. They signed a couple of wideouts this offseason, but neither Dwayne Bowe nor Brian Hartline is anywhere close to being a No. 1 option.

  12. New Orleans Saints: Stephone Anthony, ILB, Clemson
More upgrades for the Saints’ defense. The team needs a major boost in the middle of its stop unit, as Curtis Lofton was a major disappointment for them.

  13. Minnesota Vikings: T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh
The Vikings had absolutely horrid play from the left tackle position last year. Perhaps that was because Matt Kalil was playing hurt. Regardless, the Vikings need to find an insurance policy just in case Kalil continues to struggle. At the very worst, T.J. Clemmings can be moved inside.

Pick change; previously Shaq Thompson, LB

  14. San Francisco 49ers: Owamagbe Odighizuwa, DE/OLB, UCLA
The 49ers have bigger needs than this, but Owa Odighizuwa provides too much value for the front office to pass on him at this juncture. Besides, Aldon Smith probably won’t be on the team much longer, and Odighizuwa seems like a great scheme fit in San Francisco’s defense.

  15. Miami Dolphins: Benardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State
The Dolphins have shown interest in several linebackers during the pre-draft process, and it’s easy to understand why. They have just one viable three-down linebacker on the roster in Jelani Jenkins. Koa Misi is a solid, two-down defender, but Miami has to find a third linebacker.

Pick change; previously Denzel Perryman, ILB

  16. San Diego Chargers: Tevin Coleman, RB, Indiana
Ryan Mathews has left for Philadelphia, while Branden Oliver cooled off toward the end of the season following a hot start. With Mathews gone, the Chargers will have to find a new primary running back.

  17. Kansas City Chiefs: Quinten Rollins, CB, Miami of Ohio
The cornerback position isn’t as big of a need for Kansas City as some make it out to be, but better depth is definitely must at the position.

Pick change; previously Ronald Darby, CB

  18. Buffalo Bills: Eli Harold, DE/OLB, Virginia
Eli Harold just falls out of circumstance here, but the Bills will be happy to scoop him up. They have two stout pass-rushers right now in Mario Williams and Jerry Hughes, but nothing really behind them.

Pick change; previously Benardrick McKinney, ILB

  19. Houston Texans: Denzel Perryman, LB, Miami
The only reason Brian Cushing is returning next season is because of his contract. The Texans need help at inside linebacker and will look to address the position early in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Laken Tomlinson, G

  20. Philadelphia Eagles: Eric Rowe, CB/S, Utah
Eric Rowe, whose stock has risen lately, is the type of impressive, tall athlete Chip Kelly likes having in his defense. The Eagles are obviously looking for a cornerback to help their putrid secondary.

  21. Cincinnati Bengals: Carl Davis, DT, Iowa
Domata Peko didn’t play well this past year, so the Bengals may want to consider finding some help for the interior of their defensive line.

  22. Detroit Lions: Mario Edwards, DE/DT, Florida State
The Lions lost both Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley this offseason, so they’re in desperate need for help on the defensive line. They’ll have to address the position in the first two rounds this April.

  23. Arizona Cardinals: Ameer Abdullah, RB, Nebraska
Andre Ellington can’t carry the load by himself, and the Cardinals need a new No. 2 running back anyway.

  24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Alex Carter, CB, Stanford
Cortez Allen was so bad against the Colts that he was actually trending on Twitter. Brice McCain is gone. Ike Taylor, meanwhile, was miserable in his return from injury. The Steelers are in desperate need of help at the cornerback position, and they’re getting a prospect who fits their scheme well.

  25. Carolina Panthers: Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M
The Panthers couldn’t block for Cam Newton whatsoever early in the season. The offensive line was able to gel late in the year, but there are still some glaring holes there, particularly at both tackle positions.

Pick change; previously Rashad Greene, WR

  26. Baltimore Ravens: P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State
Perhaps I dropped P.J. Williams down a round too far a couple of weeks ago following his DUI arrest, but there’s no doubt that he hurt his draft stock. The Ravens have taken chances on troubled players before, so maybe they’ll give Williams a chance to fill a big need for them.

  27. Denver Broncos: Garrett Grayson, QB, Colorado State
Peyton Manning obviously won’t be in the NFL much longer. The Broncos drafted Brock Osweiler a few years ago, but he hasn’t shown that he has developed into a capable starter. It won’t be surprising if John Elway gives up on Osweiler and spends a second-day selection on another quarterback.

Pick change; previously Paul Dawson, LB

  28. Dallas Cowboys: Damarious Randall, S, Arizona State
Here’s another upgrade for Dallas’ secondary, which was a major weak point for the team last season. Multiple selections will have to be used to bolster the group.

Pick change; previously Quinten Rollins, CB

  29. Indianapolis Colts: Laken Tomlinson, G, Duke
The Colts made some nice additions to their roster this offseason, but one area that they’ve mostly neglected is the offensive line. Andrew Luck needs better protection at multiple positions, including the guard spot.

Pick change; previously Quinten Rollins, CB

  30. Green Bay Packers: Duke Johnson, RB, Miami
It shouldn’t be a surprise if the Packers target a running back at some point on Day 2. They want a strong No. 2 back to lighten Eddie Lacy’s workload.

Pick change; previously Xavier Cooper, DT

  31. Seattle Seahawks: Ali Marpet, C/OT/G, Hobart
The Seahawks could use some help on the offensive line to give Russell Wilson more time in the pocket. The rising Ali Marpet is a great fit for the blocking scheme, and he can pretty much play anywhere up front.

  32. New England Patriots: Josue Matias, G, Florida State
The Patriots have to improve their offensive line, especially the interior. Bill Belichick spent a selection last year on a Florida State blocker, so perhaps he’ll add another one.
