2015 NFL Mock Draft: Round 5

  1. Minnesota Vikings: David Cobb, RB, Minnesota
    The Vikings could address the running back position much earlier than this if Adrian Peterson leaves. They need to find someone to complement Jerrick McKinnon.

  2. Tennessee Titans: Cam Thomas, CB, Western Kentucky
    I could see the Titans doubling up on cornerbacks to really fortify their need there.

  3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Kurtis Drummond, S, Michigan State
    The Jaguars barely have any depth at safety, and they could use someone to challenge for a starting job.

  4. Oakland Raiders: Troy Hill, CB, Oregon
    The Raiders have a couple of cornerbacks set to hit free agency, so they could use some depth at the position.



  5. Washington Redskins: Jamil Douglas, G, Arizona State
    The Redskins could stand to add a second offensive lineman in the 2015 NFL Draft. The pass protection they provided Robert Griffin and the other quarterbacks last year was unacceptable.

  6. Chicago Bears: Joey Mbu, NT, Houston
    The Bears are moving to a 3-4 defense under new coordinator Vic Fangio. They’ll need many pieces for this scheme, as their defense currently has next to no talent. One big hole happens to be at the nose tackle position, as Chicago lacks a monstrous lineman to clog running lanes.

  7. Denver Broncos: Ibraheim Campbell, S, Northwestern
    Rahim Moore, who also has an expiring contract, wasn’t the same last year after coming off a brutal leg injury. Denver may want to find someone new to play next to T.J. Ward.

  8. New York Giants: Kaleb Eulls, DT, Mississippi State
    Johnathan Hankins was a stud this past season, but he had very little help next to him. Mike Patterson looked done, so the Giants will have to address this position via free agency or the draft.

  9. St. Louis Rams: Jordan Richards, S, Stanford
    The Rams already addressed their major needs (outside of the quarterback position), so they may look to add to their secondary depth, which needs to be bolstered.

  10. Atlanta Falcons: Daryl Williams, OT, Oklahoma
    The Atlanta tackles played well going down the stretch, but the team could still add depth to the position. The Falcons will need insurance in case injuries strike again.

  11. Cleveland Browns: Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia
    The Browns can add an inside linebacker to go along with the beautiful new logo they’ve introduced. They’ll need a future starter at the position with Karlos Dansby turning 34 in the middle of the 2015 season.

  12. New Orleans Saints: Clayton Geathers, S, Central Florida
    The Saints need to think about adding some insurance at safety, just in case Jairus Byrd and Kenny Vaccaro never play up to potential.

  13. Minnesota Vikings: Jesse James, TE, Penn State
    Kyle Rudolph is talented, but he can’t stay healthy. Here’s some insurance.

  14. Miami Dolphins: Henry Anderson, DE/DT, Stanford
    The Dolphins could lose Jared Odrick in free agency this offseason, or perhaps the next one, if they franchise him, so here’s a possible replacement.

  15. San Francisco 49ers: Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland
    The 49ers are really hurting at the receiver position, so it won’t be shocking at all if they spend multiple selections on upgrades.

  16. Houston Texans: Shaquille Mason, G, Georgia Tech
    The Texans re-signed Derek Newton to a surprising contract. They may now want to add some depth to the interior of their offensive line.

  17. San Diego Chargers: Zach Hodges, DE/OLB, Harvard
    The Chargers may want to add some pass-rushing depth in the wake of Jarret Johnson’s retirement. Help is needed behind Melvin Ingram and Jerry Attaochu.

  18. Kansas City Chiefs: Cody Riggs, CB, Notre Dame
    The Chiefs are expected to look for some cornerback depth at some point during the 2015 NFL Draft.

  19. Buffalo Bills: Lynden Trail, DE/DT, Norfolk State
    The Bills could stand to add some better depth on the defensive line. They have two strong starters in Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus, but the depth is lacking.

  20. Philadelphia Eagles: Darren Waller, WR, Georgia Tech
    Riley Cooper won’t be around much longer, so the Eagles will need to add another receiver at some point this offseason.



  21. Cincinnati Bengals: Josh Harper, WR, Fresno State
    Marvin Jones will be back next year, but it wouldn’t hurt the Bengals if they added another receiving option in case there are more injuries.

  22. Detroit Lions: Deontay Greenberry, WR, Houston
    Detroit could stand to add a stronger third receiver just in case Calvin Johnson gets hurt again next year.

  23. Arizona Cardinals: Tre McBride, WR, William & Mary
    Larry Fitzgerald will remain in Arizona for one more season, but he won’t be around much longer after that. The Cardinals may want to spend a mid-round pick on a potential starter or tertiary option down the road.

  24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ty Sambrailo, OT, Colorado State
    The Steelers signed Marcus Gilbert to a deal recently, but he hasn’t lived up to it. The front office could look for someone in the middle rounds to push him.

  25. Carolina Panthers: Taiwan Jones, LB, Michigan State
    Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis are studs, but Carolina could stand to find a third linebacker to complement the two Pro Bowlers.

  26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Dezmin Lewis, WR, Central Arkansas
    It sounds like Vincent Jackson will be back next year, but he probably won’t be around for much longer after that. Here’s a potential future No. 2 receiver.

  27. Dallas Cowboys: Lorenzo Doss, CB, Tulane
    The Cowboys addressed the safety position earlier in this mock draft, but they’ll need to obtain multiple defensive backs because they are really hurting in the secondary.

  28. Denver Broncos: Jalston Fowler, FB, Alabama
    The Broncos are looking to bring in a new fullback this offseason. They have two fifth-round selections, so perhaps they’ll use one on a lead blocker.

  29. Indianapolis Colts: B.J. Finney, C, Kansas State
    The Colts haven’t addressed the offensive line just yet in this mock draft, but they could do so much earlier than this. They need multiple upgrades up front.

  30. Green Bay Packers: Andrew Donnal, OT, Iowa
    The Packers are expected to re-sign Bryan Bulaga, but that won’t stop them from adding some tackle depth in the middle rounds.

  31. Seattle Seahawks: Jordan Hicks, OLB, Texas
    The Seahawks have some linebackers about to hit free agency, including former Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith. Depth will be needed at this position.

  32. New England Patriots: Tyler Kroft, TE, Rutgers
    The Patriots could use another tight end just in case Rob Gronkowski gets hurt again, and I’m sure Bill Belichick wouldn’t mind drafting another Rutgers prospect.
