  1. Arizona Cardinals: Erik McCoy, C/G, Texas A&M
The Cardinals must add to their pass protection. Josh Rosen was horrible last year, but he also had no help from his anemic offensive line. Arizona must make sure that Kyler Murray has better blocking.

Erik McCoy is an athletic center who is having a great year. He should be selected at some point on Day 2 and could even sneak into the back end of the first round.

  2. Indianapolis Colts: Johnathan Abram, S, Mississippi State
There was talk about the Colts going after Landon Collins, but they haven’t signed a safety. Perhaps this is a position they’ll address early in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Johnathan Abram is a forceful, physical run defender who has good coverage skills.

  3. Oakland Raiders: Will Grier, QB, West Virginia
Unless the Raiders find a way to obtain Kyler Murray, they’ll probably wait until Day 2 to select a quarterback. Jon Gruden spent the entire 2018 season yelling at Derek Carr and may want to bring in his own guy.

  4. San Francisco 49ers: Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
The 49ers have a horrendous secondary. Adding a talented cornerback to go along with their new dynamic edge rusher would really strengthen their pass defense.

Greedy Williams had a spectacular freshman season with six interceptions. Williams has great size (6-2, 182) and speed, but teams have given him second-round grades.

Pick change; previously Taylor Rapp, S

  5. New York Giants: Kaleb McGary, OT, Washington
The Giants have had a huge hole at right tackle for years. Perhaps they’ll finally plug that hole early in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Rock Ya-Sin, CB

  6. Jacksonville Jaguars: Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina
The Jaguars need to give Nick Foles a viable No. 1 receiving threat, as they are very lacking at the position.

Deebo Samuel has been enjoying a tremendous pre-draft process, thriving in both the Senior Bowl and the combine.

  7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Damien Harris, RB, Alabama
The Buccaneers didn’t have any sort of running game last year. They’ll need to change that in order for Jameis Winston to avoid throwing lots of interceptions.

Damien Harris is a well-rounded running back. One source Charlie Campbell spoke to said Harris reminds him of Doug Martin.

  8. Buffalo Bills: Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
Kelvin Benjamin is finally gone, so the Bills need to focus on finding a No. 1 receiver for Josh Allen. Buffalo signed John Brown and Cole Beasley, but neither fits the description of a No. 1 wideout.

Marquise Brown is a small receiver (5-11, 162), but he can bolt for the end zone any time he gets his hands on the ball.

  9. Denver Broncos: Zach Allen, DE/DT, Boston College
The Broncos could stand to address their defensive line, as they have off-the-field and injury concerns in that area.

Zach Allen needs to develop more pass-rushing moves, but he has a nice combination of size and strength, and he happens to be a stout run defender and a quality pass-rusher.

  10. Cincinnati Bengals: Jachai Polite, DE/OLB, Florida
The Bengals have spent lots of time scouting edge rushers this offseason, which makes sense, given their need in that area. They’ll likely take an edge player in the first three rounds.

Jachai Polite was once slotted in the first round, but has fallen because he looked sluggish and out of shape at the combine.

  11. Detroit Lions: Ben Banogu, DE/OLB, TCU
The Lions spent big money on Trey Flowers in free agency to improve their pass rush. However, Flowers just replaced the departed Ziggy Ansah, and Detroit needed edge-rushing help when Ansah was on the roster. The team may use an early-round pick on an edge player.

Ben Banogu is quick off the edge, but needs to improve his technique. Banogu, a captain at TCU, has high character traits, so he could be chosen earlier than most expect.

Pick change; previously Justin Layne, CB

  12. Green Bay Packers: Justin Layne, CB, Michigan State
The Packers spent two early selections on cornerbacks last year. A third one could be used on that position, as Green Bay can finally shore up its once-atrocious secondary.

Justin Layne has nice size at 6-3, 185, and he was able to answer speed concerns at the combine. We recently featured him on the 2019 NFL Draft Stock Report.

Pick change; previously Jerry Tillery, DE/DT

  13. Atlanta Falcons: Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame
The Falcons were expected to address their defensive line during the previous draft, but they didn’t do enough to improve that area. They’ll need to make amends for that at the end of the month.

Jerry Tillery had a great start to his season on the field. However, he has off-the-field concerns that could hurt his draft stock.

Pick change; previously Garrett Bradbury, C/G

  14. Washington Redskins: Rock Ya-Sin, CB, Temple
The Redskins may not have this pick as a result of a possible Josh Rosen trade, but if they keep this selection, it could be used on one of the many second-round cornerback prospects to fill a big need.

Rock Ya-Sin has been an underrated play-making cornerback for Temple as a senior.

Pick change; previously N’Keal Harry, WR

  15. Carolina Panthers: DeAndre Baker, CB, Georgia
The Panthers have nothing at cornerback outside of Donte Jackson. They’ll need to spend an early selection on a cornerback.

Baker had a terrific 2017 campaign, showing great athleticism. He was great last season as well, especially against LSU. However, he did poorly at the combine in all regards, so he could fall to Round 2.

  16. Miami Dolphins: D’Andre Walker, LB, Georgia
The Dolphins are looking closely at edge rushers, as they’ll need to replace Cameron Wake and the recently traded Robert Quinn.

D’Andre Walker is a good run defender who is decent in coverage and can rush the passer very well. He was all over the place in the SEC Championship.

  17. Cleveland Browns: Amani Oruwariye, CB, Penn State
The Browns hit a home run with Denzel Ward last year. They’ll need to find a solid starter to play across from him.

Amani Oruwariye is a big cornerback (6-1, 203) who possesses some quickness. Long speed is a question mark.

For more Browns talk, I discussed the Browns’ free agency and draft plans, as well as the Odell Beckham Jr. trade on the Brownie Bites podcast:

  18. Minnesota Vikings: Germaine Pratt, LB, N.C. State
The Vikings have some great defensive players, but they have a major weakness, which is their inability to cover in space. Their linebacking corps needs an injection of talent.

Germaine Pratt has good vision for a linebacker and can defend the run well. He’s a former safety.

  19. Tennessee Titans: Elgton Jenkins, C/G, Mississippi State
It’s still difficult to believe that Marcus Mariota was sacked 11 times in a single game. The interior of Tennessee’s offensive line needs a ton of work beyond the Rodger Saffold signing.

Excellent as both a run blocker and a pass protector, Elgton Jenkins has the athleticism and talent to be chosen on Day 2.

  20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Julian Love, CB, Notre Dame
The Steelers had some major problems in the secondary last season. They need some help at the position in addition to Joe Haden.

Julian Love is only 5-10, but he has great instincts and ball skills.

  21. Philadelphia Eagles: Vosean Joseph, LB, Florida
Jordan Hicks signed with the Cardinals this offseason. Even if the Eagles had retained Hicks, they’d need one more linebacker, as they never replaced Mychal Kendricks.

Vosean Joseph is a very instinctive and fast linebacker.

  22. Houston Texans: Dalton Risner, OT/C, Kansas State
Here’s the offensive line boost the Texans missed out on in the first round by snagging Clelin Ferrell, the best player available at that juncture.

Dalton Risner had problems with speed rushers on the edge, but improved his play in 2018. Some have seventh-round grades on him, while others believe he’ll be selected on Day 2.

Pick change; previously Benny Snell Jr., RB

  23. Houston Texans: Michael Deiter, G/C, Wisconsin
The Texans shouldn’t be done upgrading their offensive line, as they’ll have to bolster their interior as well.

Michael Deiter has started at center and guard for Wisconsin, so teams will like his versatility.

  24. New England Patriots: Irv Smith Jr., TE, Alabama
Rob Gronkowski just announced his retirement, so the Patriots should spend an early pick on a tight end.

Irv Smith Jr. is a dangerous threat after the catch, and he has good route-running skills and nice hands.

  25. Philadelphia Eagles: Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State
The Eagles traded for Jordan Howard. The former Bear is a tough runner, but he can’t handle the receiving work, so Philadelphia is looking for a running back to complement Howard.

Scouts like Justice Hill’s speed and acceleration to the second level.

  26. Dallas Cowboys: Juan Thornhill, S, Virginia
The Cowboys have a great defense, but their secondary is a weakness outside of Byron Jones. They’ve been trying to trade for Earl Thomas, so if they can’t get a deal done, here’s the safety upgrade they need.

Juan Thornhill is a sound tackler and covers very well.

  27. Indianapolis Colts: Jamel Dean, CB, Auburn
The Colts were 20th in pass defense efficiency last year. Both their pass rush and secondary were responsible for this, so Indianapolis can take a big step toward correcting this problem by obtaining an upgrade at cornerback.

Jamel Dean has great size (6-2, 208) and tremendous potential.

  28. Los Angeles Chargers: Ryan Finley, QB, N.C. State
There was talk last April that the Chargers would use a second-round pick on a quarterback to ultimately succeed Philip Rivers. Perhaps those reports were off by a year.

Ryan Finley had a solid performance at the Senior Bowl. He projects as an Alex Smith-type quarterback with slightly less mobility.

  29. Kansas City Chiefs: Taylor Rapp, S, Washington
The Chiefs acquired Tyrann Mathieu, but they cut Eric Berry in response. Then, they traded Eric Murray to the Browns. They’ll need another new safety.

Teams Charlie Campbell spoke to consider Taylor Rapp a candidate to sneak into the end of the first round. Other sources have soured on him since, but he’s still expected to be a second-round pick.

Pick change; previously Nasir Adderley, S

  30. New Orleans Saints: Kelvin Harmon, WR, N.C. State
The Saints signed Dez Bryant and Brandon Marshall, hoping to find an upgrade across from Michael Thomas. Here’s a possible solution.

Kelvin Harmon is a good route-runner who has made some clutch catches. He could be a No. 2 possession receiver in the pros.

  31. Kansas City Chiefs: Jaylon Ferguson, DE, Louisiana Tech
The Chiefs cut Justin Houston and traded Dee Ford, so they’ll need several new edge rushers.

Jaylon Ferguson had an excellent Senior Bowl, proving that he could compete with the power-five prospects. However, he was not able to participate at the combine because of an off-the-field problem that surfaced recently, which is why he has fallen.

  32. New England Patriots: Andy Isabella, WR, UMass
Is there a more “Patriot” receiver than Andy Isabella in this draft class? I imagine Bill Belichick will be intrigued, especially with my alleged fourth cousin Julian Edelman turning 33 in May.
