David R: Honestly DJ Metcalf seems like a good pick here. Thought the Giants have a huge whole at RT tackle, I have a small suspicion that Daryl Williams might inevitably fill that position after the 1yr re-up with the Panthers, in due part to money freeing up with a possible Eli Manning ditching next season. Metcalf will in turn give Eli a big target to throw to while also giving the new rookie QB, Lock or in this mock draft Haskins, a future target to develop with. The Giants are extremely thin at WR, especially when I see the Tate signing as just a chance to trade him for a future pick, and need talent there to take pressure off of Barkley. Honestly see them possibly taking another WR as well in the 2nd/3rd round depending on how secondary/d-line prospects shake out.

Pat S: Giants won’t be taking a WR with the pick the traded for OBJ. It puts touch pressure on them and the Giants need help everywhere. They worked to improve the line this offseason and would take the best available OT. Or the best available defensive lineman. I don’t think they draft a QB at #6. Too much talent on defense for them to pass someone like Sweat or Oliver. If the Cards select Murray, Rosen will be a Giant.

Thomas W: Lots of good options here for the Giants. I went with Cody Ford as I think he’ll be a stud RT, but I suspect the Giants would go with Ferrell. Calling Greg Little “Mr Reliable” every time is getting tired.

Thomas M: The Giants traded OBJ so the still have the oft injured Shepard Ingram and Barkley 2 of those 3 will be star and reliable guys so they need to give haskins and new wideout and I like Brown over his teammates Metcalf. Brown was actually productive in college against elite talent a lot of which is either in the NFL or rated highly in this draft. Unlike Metcalf brown is an excellent route runner he may not run away from defenders but his physical nature will allow him to make tough catches after he puts a move or two on his defender. While Metcalf ceiling is higher brown is the safer selection. If not brown then Dillard who would fill another need outside of pass rusher

David S: Jonah Williams would be a great value at 17. I think you could plug him in anywhere on the offensive line and have a solid starter there. Pick him, play him somewhere and don’t worry about that position for the next 10 to 15 years.

Jeff D: When you take a QB as in this scenario, the next step is to add weapons or to upgrade their protection. I like the idea of pairing Haskins with his college teammate in Campbell, but with Golden Tate and Sterling Shepherd as their other receivers, there’d be too much overlap in skill sets. I think AJ Brown would be the right receiver choice as the most proven commodity. That said, it seems like they should have a good O-line at this point since they’ve added 3 guys in the last two years, but that still gives them a grand total of 3 theoretically usable guys, and Solder was terrible last year. Andre Dillard is the best pass protector of the bunch, so I went with him. Start him at RT this year, think about moving him to the left side in the future if Solder continues to play poorly.

Thomas M: This almost has to be Andre Dillard. The offensive line was atrocious this past season especially tackle and thanks to the absurd contract the vikes gave cousins… Anyway the Vikings need to keep the mediocre cousins upright when he is upright he is a less athletic Keenum and could very well lead the Vikings to the playoffs. Even so cousins had the same offensive line as Keenum did before him and the same weapons and Keenum got them to the NFC title game…so did the Vikings really need cousins…I think that they could also draft William’s as well but this pick will definitely be offensive line

Thomas W: To be honest, I kind of like Garrett Bradbury here. Ben Jones could slide to Guard. WR is a need, but I’m not sure any of the remaining guys are top 20 picks. Parris Campbell is closer to #51 than to #19.

Chrissy N: You ask for a vote for the Titans and then don’t even have most of the obvious players. I doubt they stay, but if so it’ll be an IOL, probably Bradbury. The choices you left are atrocious. (Walt’s Note: Cody Ford was the best interior lineman available, by far, and he didn’t even win the vote.)

Daniel B: It’d be Ferrell in that scenrio. Bigger need, higher value position. They can find right guards later.

David S: In this scenario, I really like the idea of Noah Fant to the Steelers. They need to add weapons now that Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell are no longer around. Creating a two-headed monster at tight end with Fant and Vance McDonald would be a nice move to help out Ben Roethlisberger in the last years of his career. Not only that, but McDonald isn’t the most durable guy in the league.

Jeff D: The Steelers have drafted for their defense in recent years, but that wasn’t always the case. Both Pouncey and DeCastro were first round picks as they were trying to improve protection for Big Ben, so there’s a history of prioritizing the line when necessary. They spent a lot of cap space locking up Pouncey and Foster this offseason and moved on from the oft-injured Marcus Gilbert. A starting RT is needed, and one on a rookie contract can affordably help with allowing their position players to improve with Brown and Bell gone. I went with Andre Dillard.

Nolan: As a Steeler fan I know our D has been just ok the past couple years. That being said with both Devins off the board in our mock here I’m going with Noah Fant. The loss of AB will hurt more then a lot of people think with JuJu getting double coverage more now, so another weapon will go a long way. I don’t think Williams or Murphy are polished enough to be picked this high, and I know Colbert often goes with best player available regardless of position. In this case it’s Fant.
Seattle Seahawks: Cody Ford, G/OT, Oklahoma

David S: Almost no chance the Seahawks stay at 21 unless the value is just far too good to pass up, but for argument’s sake, I could see them going with someone like Noah Fant, ‘Hollywood’ Brown or another speedy receiver since they seem to want to get faster and more athletic targets for Russell Wilson to throw to. I voted for Andre Dillard just because I’m living in a fantasy world where it’d be nice to see them invest in an offensive line for Wilson.

David S: I think either Marquise Brown or A.J. Brown would make sense for the Ravens. Lamar Jackson is their guy, so they should give him some reliable receivers to throw to. ‘Hollywood’ would make more sense if the Ravens want to double down on the electrifying speed aspect, A.J. if the Ravens wanted to go with a bigger receiver who still has solid speed, I could see A.J. Brown.

Grant R: While the Ravens will need more help with their offensive line to help dual-threat Jackson at quarterback, they also need to find a talented WR to help in the passing game. While Campbell offers tantalizing potential in the right scheme, I see AJ Brown being a playmaker for the Ravens. Brown has the speed, agility, and hands to be a difference maker early on in his career, which will help Jackson’s talent shine as he continues to grow in his second year as a pro.

Jeff D: The interior of this O-line has been surprisingly bad the past couple of years, even with Marshall Yanda back, so someone like Bradbury is certainly an option. That said, Lamar Jackson is the focus of this team now, and I think as far as offensive worries go, the Ravens have to be much more concerned about having Willie Snead as their top wideout than they are about having Lamar Jackson scrabbling away from pressure more often than they’d like. I think AJ Brown is the best, most complete receiver on the board, but Marquise Brown fits better into an offense designed around getting the ball into the hands of playmakers in any way possible. I went with Brown.
Houston Texans: Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State

Jeff D: Sometimes the obvious picks are obvious for a reason. I went with Dillard. It’s nearing the point in the draft in the draft where it’s ridiculous that Byron Murphy is still on the board as he is 1st or 2nd CB on most boards and CBs always get overdrafted, but the Texans have a pretty deep stable of CB’s with Joseph, Roby, Colvin, Boddy-Calhoun and others, so I’m guessing they’ll hold off on adding a rookie CB until later in the draft. They need help all over the O-line, but at least with better tackle play, Watson would have more luck rolling out when there’s constant pressure up the middle. Matt Kalil both sucks and gets constantly injured (and is only on a 1 year deal) and Davenport has had a rocky start to his career. I could easily see Dillard as left tackle by week 3 on this team.

David S: I’d probabaly go Noah Fant myself since the Raiders now need a Jared Cook replacement, but since he’s not one of the choices, I went with Josh Jacobs. Having a strong running game would take a lot of pressure off of Derek Carr, Antonio Brown and the passing game. Pairing Jacobs and Isaiah Crowell would give Oakland a strong running game. Chris Lindstrom would be a strong pick as well. He’s a safe selection and he’s got the Boston College connection with Mayock.

David S: Chris Lindstrom would be a great pick for Philadelphia if still available at 25. Brandon Brooks is still recovering from tearing his Achilles in the playoff game against New Orleans, so they’re definitely hurting inside at guard. A former Boston College Eagle giving the Philadelphia Eagles a first day starter inside at guard would really help solidify the interior for them.

Thomas W: I like the idea of taking a Safety here, but don’t like Abram much (too much hype is dependent on his 40 time). I’d go with Gardner-Johnson or maybe Adderley. Murphy is a good selection as wll, although Eagle fans think they’re all set at CB. I ultimately went with BPA Simmons, changing the question from “will” to “should.”

Derek H: Part of the problem in Indy’s playoff loss to KC was the lack of a dynamic cover corner to keep Tyreek Hill at bay. Baker has more than proven himself against the best of the SEC and has the proven combination of size, athletic ability, and instincts to succeed against #1 wideouts in the NFL.

Jimmy G: Indy the team that always needs D…:) but really arguably one of top 3 corners depending on who you talk to is not a bad get at this spot. The only other thing I would like them to do is grab Parris Campbell. I liked the D Funch pickup but TY Hilton seems to get banged up and having another speedster for luck to throw to never is a bad thing….Its a dream so, D it is with CB baker

Jeff D: Couldn’t you just see Mike Mayock saying “We need to get bigger in the trenches and win the physical battle every week” or some other such cliche. Gruden too. This draft lays out nicely for that mentality with Quinnen Williams and an RB as their first two picks, so next up would be an O-lineman. They spent big on Trent Brown, but they haven’t replaced Osemele inside, and both of their rookie tackles from last year played terribly. I went with Greg Little – he’s totally a Mayock-style road grader. Ideally, one of the tackles from last year improves enough to be the RT, and Little teams up with Gabe Jackson and Rodney Hudson on the interior. As a tackle at Ole Miss, he also provides depth on the outside, if necessary.

David S: The Raiders lost Jared Cook in free agency to New Orleans. Noah Fant may not be an immediate upgrade, but he’d be a perfect replacement who would give Derek Carr another big weapon to throw to along with Antonio Brown.

Michael: After already drafting Williams and Jacobs in this mock, the Raiders would have to be ecstatic to get Baker to add the cherry on top in this 1st round. The last of the “Tier 1” CBs on the board, some may argue he is a better get than the previous two corners.

Thomas W: This has to be either line, right? Simmons is the man if you don’t mind the video and can wait out the injury. Tillery is a good alternative, but Dre’Mont is all wrong for them (can’t stop the run). Bradbury is the best OL, but he’s ideal at OC in a zone blocking scheme, and they’d probably play him at Guard and (I think) they are more power-man blocking. Lindstrom is a solid pick, or Little if you want to take a chance.

Thomas M: So this is a tough one but the chargers dont need much but I think the pick will be Simmons in this scenario. The chargers were ran over by the Patriots and Corey luiget isnt the same player he once was. Simmons may not be available to play much his rookie year but he is a top ten talent and the second best player at his position behind Williams. I could see them going with Baker as well to replace the departed verrett but they have invested heavily in the secondary in past drafts and struck gold as they have one of the better secondaries in the league. Simmons would be nice inside with bosa and Ingram on the edge which could help rivers get over the hump to a super bowl while building the roster for life after rivers.

Thomas B: With the players available I’d like to trade back for an early 2 and 3 because I think we can still get Tillery or Dre’Mont in round 2. I choose Tillery even though the OL are intriguing.

Jeff D: It’s never too early for a team to start planning for how they’re going to afford to sign their star QB to his second contract. They’ve got a lot of money tied up in the O-line, and just let Mitch Morse walk without replacing him. They can do that here by bringing in Chris Lindstrom. Cam Erving has played center in the past, so the two of them can be center/guard in whatever formation makes sense.

Thomas M: The Chiefs can go in multiple directions but they all should be defensive. I chose Baker because in this scenario he is the BPA at his position. Polite is an option but he has makeup concerns like Baker. If they dont take Baker I can see Abram to replace Berry. The Chiefs will not be as good this upcoming year because even though the defense was bad last year they got rid of both edge rushers that will haunt them so the need to bolster the back end

Joey: With the board the way it is, I think KC takes the top available member of the secondary here, who I believe to be Baker (though pass rusher is also a strong option). However, I think the Chiefs would prefer Josh Jacob’s falls to them. There was a clear drop off in the offense without Hunt. Damien Williams was alright, but the offense just didnt seem as potent. Dont be surprised if the Chiefs trade back into the 2nd and target a Damien Harris or other running back to make sure they offense stays one of the most dynamic in the NFL

Jeff D: This team could use help on the O-line, but the Packers haven’t taken an O-lineman in the first round since 2011. I think they always think they can find starters in later rounds, considering Rodgers’ shiftiness in the pocket. Considering the money they spent on edge rushers, I think they’d be looking at the best player to help improve their secondary, but with Baker taken at 29, it’s hard to find sufficient value in anyone on the board. It would look a bit odd, but I could see the Packers going with Marquise Brown, even after taken a TE at 12. Brown is a speedy “just get the ball in his hands” kind of receiver, which would complement their receiving core well, especially with Cobb no longer around. Bring in two first round pass catchers to start alongside Davante Adams and suddenly this offense is scary again.

Chris S: Marquise Brown is a great pick at 30, even though Packers don’t take WR in the first. I went with safety Abram, because that position is not locked down even after the Adrian Amos signing. I think Polite would be more attractive than OL, but I wouldn’t be suprised to see them use some of their picks to move up from the 30th pick, possible with Seattle at 21 who needs more picks.

Grant R: The Packers have come out and stated that WR isn’t a priority in the first round. While we don’t know if it’s a smoke-screen or not, they have had trouble with their offensive line and depth. Turner may or may not help (Walt is definitely not high on him) and last year’s draft pick Cole Madison is back after taking a year off for personal reasons, but it’s anyone’s guess as to how well those two would perform as right guard. Lindstrom from BC plays a similar style of line play that LaFleur wants to implement and is intelligent and athletic enough to step in from day one. Lindstrom would help bring the whole offensive line up to a higher level than it was last year, allowing Turner and Madison to serve a key depth when injuries happen.
