The order of this 2023 NFL Mock Draft is often determined by the NFL Power Rankings, but for this update, it’s determined by the projected record in the NFL Season Previews for 2022.

  1. Detroit Lions: Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa Iowa
    Detroit has major problems covering the middle of the field. Linebacker has been an issue for quite some time.

    Jack Campbell has the size and athleticism to be a three-down player in the NFL.

  2. Houston Texans: Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson Clemson
    The Texans must improve their run defense and pass rush, so obtaining some defensive line help makes sense.

    Bryan Bresee has terrific quickness and athleticism.

  3. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia Georgia
    The Steelers can continue to bolster their miserable pass defense by addressing their big need at cornerback.

    A huge cornerback with lots of upside, Kelee Ringo performed well in place of Tyson Campbell.



  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Zacch Pickens, DT, South Carolina
    The Jaguars have been searching for a replacement for Calais Campbell for quite some time, and I don’t think it’s out of the question that they’d double up on defensive linemen.

    Zacch Pickens had a great ’21 campaign. He has plus size, quickness and athleticism.

  5. Carolina Panthers: Zach Evans, RB, Ole Miss Ole Miss
    Christian McCaffrey is gone, so the Panthers will need to find someone to replace him.

    Zach Evans is undersized, but explosive.

  6. Las Vegas Raiders: Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee
    Mark Davis already regrets hiring Josh McDaniels, per a Charlie Campbell report at the NFL Hot Press. Davis may blow the entire thing up, which includes finding a new quarterback.

    Hendon Hooker is a dual-threat quarterback enjoyed a great season for Tennessee.

  7. New Orleans Saints: Noah Sewell, LB, Oregon Oregon
    The Saints had interest in Quay Walker at No. 19, but opted for a tackle instead. Here’s the linebacker help they were seeking.



  8. Cleveland Browns: Tyree Wilson, DE/DT, Texas Tech Texas Tech
    Cleveland’s pass rush is a bit weak outside of Myles Garrett. This is a problem, given how many great passing attacks reside in the AFC.

    Tyree Wilson had a breakout ’21 season in which he recorded seven sacks. He could fill out and become a five-technique in the NFL.

  9. Seattle Seahawks: Sikai Ika, NT, Baylor
    The Seahawks are very weak to the run, as everyone discovered when Cordarrelle Patterson ran all over them. They’ll need some help in the interior of their defensive front.

    Sikai Ika is a massive nose tackle who can apply a bit of pressure on the quarterback.

  10. Arizona Cardinals: Brandon Joseph, CB, Notre Dame Notre Dame
    The Cardinals have a weak group of cornerbacks, which is an issue against the Rams’ offense. They could double up on corners.

    Brandon Joseph is a turnover machine as a cornerback with great instincts.

  11. Chicago Bears: Clark Phillips, CB, Utah Utah
    The Bears need everything, and that includes another cornerback to pair with Jaylon Johnson.

    Clark Phillips has some size issues, but has plenty of talent as a potential slot corner.

  12. Green Bay Packers: B.J. Ojulari, DE/OLB, LSU LSU
    The Packers should add another talented edge rusher so they don’t have to blitz as often.

    B.J. Ojulari did a great job of taking over for the injured Ali Gaye in 2021.

  13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jaren Hall, QB, BYU BYU
    The Buccaneers need a future replacement for Tom Brady, as Kyle Trask has not shown any signs of being a franchise quarterback.

    Jaren Hall is a rushing threat who has a quality arm.



  14. Los Angeles Rams: Nolan Smith, DE, Georgia Georgia
    The Rams really miss Von Miller, so they’ll have to find a new edge rusher.

    Nolan Smith needs to get stronger, but he has great speed off the edge.

  15. Indianapolis Colts: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida Florida
    The Colts need to find a permanent solution at quarterback, rather than play musical chairs at the position.

    Anthony Richardson is raw, but has a huge arm and great athleticism. He had a great 2022 debut, but struggled versus Kentucky the following week.

  16. New England Patriots: Malachi Moore, CB/S, Alabama Alabama
    Bill Belichick loves his versatile defensive backs. He’ll need one with Devin McCourty nearing retirement.

    Malachi Moore is an instinctive defensive back who can play anywhere in the defensive backfield.

  17. Washington Redskins: Nick Broeker, OT/G, Ole Miss
    The Redskins need to address the interior of their offensive line, which has been a big liability this year.

    Nick Broeker may have to switch to guard in the NFL.

  18. Cincinnati Bengals: Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame Notre Dame
    Cincinnati had strong interest in Trey McBride in the second round, but he was plucked off the board before the team was on the clock.

    The next NFL tight end to come out of Notre Dame, Michael Mayer murdered opponents with high production over the middle of the field.

  19. Carolina Panthers: Dontay Demus Jr., WR, Maryland Maryland
    The Panthers are thin at receiver, so they should add some talent at the position.

    Dontay Demus Jr. suffered a season-ending torn ACL in October 2021, but could still be a first-round pick because of his size (6-3) and athleticism.

  20. Atlanta Falcons: Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College
    The Falcons traded Calvin Ridley to the Jaguars, so they’ll need a new No. 2 receiver for 2023 and beyond.

    Zay Flowers is a small receiver, but can go the distance whenver he touches the ball.

  21. Los Angeles Chargers: Zach Harrison, DE, Ohio State
    Khalil Mack is just a temporary solution across from Joey Bosa. Someone is needed for the long haul.

    Zach Harrison has nice potential with his athletic ability.

  22. New York Jets: Demarvioun Overshown, LB, Texas Illinois
    The Jets are weak in the middle of the field, so they could stand to upgrade their linebacking corps.

    Demarvioun Overshown was flying all over the field at times in ’21.

  23. Miami Dolphins: Kenny McIntosh, RB, Georgia
    Chase Edmonds has been a disappointment, but he’s gone now anyway. The Dolphins will need someone else to pair with Raheem Mostert.

    Kenny McIntosh flashed in a relief role prior to the ’22 season. He’s an excellent receiver.

  24. Seattle Seahawks: Josh Proctor, S, Ohio State Ohio State
    Jamaal Adams can’t stay healthy, so the Seahawks will be looking for a new safety.

    Josh Proctor missed most of the ’21 season with a fractured leg, but has great ability.

  25. Pittsburgh Steelers: Dontayvion Wicks, WR, Virginia
    The Steelers always seem to find second-round receiver gems, so they could be looking for another after trading Chase Claypool.

    Dontayvion Wicks is a lengthy receiver who broke out during his ’21 season.

  26. Kansas City Chiefs: Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State Mississippi State
    The Chiefs need all the help they can get at cornerback to help stop all of Josh Allen’s weapons.

    Emmanuel Forbes is a feast-or-famine cornerback.

  27. New York Giants: Eli Ricks, CB, Alabama Alabama
    The Giants need to find a new cornerback to replace James Bradberry. They also need a second cornerback, so they could double up at the position.

    Eli Ricks is a 6-2 cornerback who had a breakout season for Alabama.

  28. Dallas Cowboys: Jammie Robinson, S, Florida State
    The Cowboys could stand to improve their secondary to help complement their pass rush.

    Jammie Robinson has been a solid run defender for Florida State.

  29. Tennessee Titans: Ereck Ali, TE, Michigan
    It’s been a while since the Titans have possessed a potent tight end. Perhaps they’ll draft one early this upcoming April.

    Ereck Ali is a fast tight end who blocks well.

  30. Detroit Lions: Tyler Davis, DT, Clemson
    The Lions desperately need to improve their ability to stop the run.

    Tyler Davis doesn’t have great upside, but he’s been a disruptive force in the interior of the defensive line.

  31. Buffalo Bills: O’Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida
    The Bills still have a hole at guard they need to plug.

    O’Cyrus Torrence is a huge interior blocker with surprising atleticism.

  32. Philadelphia Eagles: Henry To’o To’o, LB, Alabama
    No one in Philadelphia will ever be upset about the Eagles spending a high resource on a linebacker.

    Henry To’o To’o is an instinctive linebacker.
