*** This mock draft will be updated occasionally. Follow @walterfootball for NFL Draft updates. ***

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers: Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan
The Steelers have made some nice additions in free agency, but they still need to bolster their defensive line.

Mazi Smith is a monstrous nose tackle who can generate a pass rush.

  2. Houston Texans: Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson Clemson
The Texans must improve their run defense and pass rush, so obtaining some defensive line help makes sense.

Bryan Bresee has terrific quickness and athleticism.

  3. Arizona Cardinals: Luke Wypler, C, Ohio State Ohio State
The Cardinals are stuck with Kyler Murray and his torn ACL, so they’ll need to find better players to protect him.

Luke Wypler is an athletic center who played tackle in high school.

  4. Indianapolis Colts: Hendon Hooker, QB, Tennessee
If the Colts don’t take a quarterback at No. 4, one of two things will be true: One, they’ll be trading for Lamar Jackson. Or two, they’ll wait until the second round to snag someone like Hendon Hooker.

Hooker is a dual-threat quarterback enjoyed a great season for Tennessee. The top downside prior to his torn ACl was that he’ll turn 25 prior to the draft. The ACL is a concern for the short term, but not for the team drafting him in this situation.

  5. Los Angeles Rams: Tyler Steen, OT/G, Alabama Alabama
Charlie Campbell reported that the Rams would be targeting an offensive lineman if they still had their first-round draft choice.

Tyler Steen did a great job on Bryce Young’s blind side after transferring from Vanderbilt.

  6. Seattle Seahawks: Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee Tennessee
The Seahawks don’t have much at receiver beyond D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Making matters worse, Lockett will regress soon now that he’s in his 30s.

Jalin Hyatt had a great season with lots of big plays for Tennessee.

  7. Las Vegas Raiders: Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State Mississippi State
The Raiders have had issues in the secondary for years. They need to address their cornerback situation in the first three rounds.

Emmanuel Forbes is a feast-or-famine cornerback.

Pick change; previously Henry To’o To’o, LB

  8. Carolina Panthers: Will McDonald, DE, Iowa State Iowa State
Carolina’s pass rush wasn’t the same after the team lost Haason Reddick to the Eagles. A replacement is needed.

Will McDonald is a fast and athletic edge rusher.

  9. New Orleans Saints: Zach Charbonnet, RB, UCLA UCLA
Based on his major off-the-field issues, Alvin Kamara may never play in the NFL again. The Saints could replace him with this pick. .

Zach Charbonnet is a quality receiver out of the backfield who runs with a nice burst.

  10. Tennessee Titans: O’Cyrus Torrence, G, Florida
The Titans need to protect the quarterback they draft. They cannot do that with the current configuration of their offensive line.

O’Cyrus Torrence is a huge interior blocker with surprising atleticism.

Pick change; previously B.J. Ojulari, DE/OLB

  11. New York Jets: Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas Arkansas
The Jets struggle to defend the middle of the field, so they’ll be interested in a second-day linebacker with their new Round 2 pick.

Drew Sanders has an excellent blend of size and athleticism.

  12. New York Jets: John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota Minnesota
The Jets can really solidify their offensive line with this pick, as they currently don’t have a solid starting center on the roster at the moment.

John Michael Schmitz is a big, strong interior lineman, but has some athleticism concerns.

  13. Atlanta Falcons: Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina South Carolina
The Falcons need to get younger at cornerback across from A.J. Terrell. They could easily select a corner in the first couple of rounds.

Cam Smith is a fast cornerback with long arms.

  14. Green Bay Packers: Isaiah Foskey, DE, Notre Dame Notre Dame
Green Bay had to blitz frequently last year as a result of four players not being able to get to the quarterback consistently.

Isaiah Foskey had a huge 11-sack campaign. He possesses great potential.

  15. New England Patriots: Quan Martin, CB/S, Illinois Illinois
Bill Belichick loves his versatile defensive backs. He’ll need one with Devin McCourty retiring.

Quan Martin is a smooth athlete who can play anywhere in the secondary.

  16. Washington Redskins: Henry To’o To’o, LB, Alabama
The Redskins lost Cole Holcomb this offseason, which was a huge blow to their already-troubled linebacking corps.

Henry To’o To’o is an instinctive linebacker. See where he ranks in our 2023 NFL Draft Prospect Rankings.

Pick change; previously Eli Ricks, CB

  17. Detroit Lions: Daiyan Henley, LB, Washington State Washington State
The Lions have a poor linebacking corps, so I expect them to address the position at some point in the first two rounds.

Daiyan Henley has great sideline-to-sideline speed.

  18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jonathan Mingo, WR, Ole Miss Mississippi
The Steelers love finding wide receiver gems on Day 2 of the NFL Draft. It’ll be interesting to see whom the Steelers will draft to replace Chase Claypool.

Jonathan Mingo is a huge receiver who runs great routes and can generate good yards after the catch.

  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma Oklahoma
The Buccaneers need a left tackle to protect their quarterback, as someone named Brandon Walton is currently penciled into the job.

Anton Harrison has quality athleticism and quickness for a tackle.

  20. Miami Dolphins: Steve Avila, C/G, TCU TCU
The Dolphins need to solidify their offensive line so that Tua Tagovailoa stays healthy for a change.

Steve Avila is a versatile lineman who can play center, guard and right tackle.

  21. Seattle Seahawks: Sam LaPorta, TE, Iowa Iowa
The Seahawks love using multiple-tight end sets, so they could draft a player at the position on Day 2.

Sam LaPorta is a bit short for his position, but could be a quality receiving threat.

  22. Chicago Bears: Tuli Tuipulotu, DE, USC USC
The Bears lost a ton of front-seven talent over the past couple of offseasons, so they really need help finding players who can get to the quarterback.

Tuli Tuipulotu used his explosion and twist to enjoy an incredible ’22 season.

  23. Los Angeles Chargers: B.J. Ojulari, DE/OLB, LSU LSU
Khalil Mack is just a temporary bookend for Joey Bosa. The Chargers need someone on the edge for the long haul.

B.J. Ojulari did a great job of taking over for the injured Ali Gaye in 2021.

Pick change; previously Cedric Tillman, WR

  24. Detroit Lions: Luke Musgrave, TE, Oregon State Oregon State
The Lions have an obvious hole at tight end because they traded T.J. Hockenson.

Scouts like Luke Musgrave even though he never produced much in college.

  25. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ryan Hayes, G/OT, Michigan Michigan
The Jaguars could stand to bolster their offensive line so Trevor Lawrence takes his play to another level.

Ryan Hayes struggled against Georgia in the ’22 college football semi-final, but did well the following year.

  26. New York Giants: Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee Tennessee
The Giants would love one of the top receivers at No. 25, but they’ll need to trade up to address the position. They could also do so in the second round.

Cedric Tillman is a monstrously built receiver who had a breakout ’21 campaign.

Pick change; previously Tyrique Stevenson, CB

  27. Dallas Cowboys: Siaki Ika, NT, Baylor
The Cowboys are looking to upgrade the interior of their defensive line with a big-bodied player.

Siaki Ika is a massive nose tackle who can apply a bit of pressure on the quarterback.

  28. Buffalo Bills: Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE/OLB, Kansas State Kansas State
The Bills fell apart late in 2022 when their pass rush took a huge hit in the wake of Von Miller’s injury. They need to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

Pick change; previously Darnell Washington, TE

  29. Cincinnati Bengals: Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland Maryland
The Bengals need as many talented cornerbacks as possible to combat Patrick Mahomes.

Deonte Banks is a fluid cover cornerback with great size and agility, but lacks discipline.

Pick change; previously Cam Mitchell, CB

  30. Chicago Bears: Kendre Miller, RB, TCU TCU
I can’t imagine the Bears going into the season with just D’Onta Foreman and Khalil Herbert as their running backs.

Kendre Miller has great instincts and natural running ability.

  31. Philadelphia Eagles: Clark Phillips, CB, Utah Utah
Darius Slay and James Bradberry have been an amazing duo, but both will be 30-plus heading into 2023. The Eagles will need to replace one of them soon.

Clark Phillips has some size issues, but has plenty of talent as a potential slot corner.

  32. Kansas City Chiefs: Tyrique Stevenson, CB, Miami Miami
The Chiefs seem to have hit a home run with Trent McDuffie, but they still need cornerback help.

Tyrique Stevenson comes with some character concerns, but he is a big cornerback with plus speed.

Pick change; previously Deonte Banks, CB
