*** This mock draft will be updated occasionally. Follow @walterfootball for NFL Draft updates. ***

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jaelyn Duncan, OT, Maryland Maryland
The Steelers need to give Kenny Pickett better protection, and that would entail finding an upgrade at left tackle.

Jaelyn Duncan “the Tall” is a team captain who showed some solid athleticism.

  2. Houston Texans: Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson Clemson
The Texans must improve their run defense and pass rush, so obtaining some defensive line help makes sense.

Bryan Bresee has terrific quickness and athleticism.

  3. Arizona Cardinals: Mekhi Blackmon, CB, USC USC
The Cardinals have a weak group of cornerbacks, which is an issue against the talented receivers in the NFC West. They could double up on corners.

Mekhi Blackmon is a small cornerback, but he has great speed. He was terrific at the Senior Bowl.

  4. Indianapolis Colts: Antonio Johnson, S/CB, Texas A&M Texas A&M
The Colts need to get better on the back end to defend Trevor Lawrence and Houston’s new franchise quarterback.

Antonio Johnson is a huge 6-3 cornerback who performed at a high level this past season. He may play safety in the NFL.

  5. Los Angeles Rams: John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota Minnesota
Charlie Campbell reported that the Rams would be targeting an offensive lineman if they still had their first-round draft choice.

John Michael Schmitz is a big, strong interior lineman, but has some athleticism concerns.

  6. Seattle Seahawks: Luke Wypler, C, Ohio State Ohio State
The Seahawks could stand to bolster the interior of their offensive line.

Luke Wypler is an athletic center who played tackle in high school.

  7. Las Vegas Raiders: Henry To’o To’o, LB, Alabama
The Raiders have a pathetic defense, so they must find help at every level. Henry To’o To’o is an instinctive linebacker. See where he ranks in our 2023 NFL Draft Prospect Rankings.

  8. Carolina Panthers: Steve Avila, C/G, TCU TCU
The Panthers must bolster their offensive line, including their troublesome guard spot.

Steve Avila is a versatile lineman who can play center, guard and right tackle.

  9. New Orleans Saints: Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa Iowa
The Saints wanted Quay Walker during the 2022 NFL Draft, so perhaps they’ll target a linebacker with one of their first two picks. Jack Campbell has the size and athleticism to be a three-down player in the NFL.

  10. Tennessee Titans: B.J. Ojulari, DE/OLB, LSU LSU
Bud Dupree could be released after this season because he has not produced up to his salary.

B.J. Ojulari did a great job of taking over for the injured Ali Gaye in 2021.

  11. Cleveland Browns: Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan
Cleveland’s pass rush is a bit weak outside of Myles Garrett. This is a problem, given how many great passing attacks reside in the AFC. Cleveland is also weak to the run.

Mazi Smith is a monstrous nose tackle who can generate a pass rush.

  12. New York Jets: Drew Sanders, LB, Arkansas Arkansas
The Jets are weak in the middle of the field, so they could stand to upgrade their linebacking corps.

Drew Sanders has an excellent blend of size and athleticism.

  13. Atlanta Falcons: Keion White, DE, Georgia Tech Georgia Tech
The Falcons have maintained the worst pressure rate in the NFL over the past couple of years, so multiple edge rushers are needed.

Keion White has nice size to go with his speed and athleticism.

  14. Green Bay Packers: Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee Tennessee
Christian Watson had some bright moments after a slow start during his rookie year. However, the Packers need to continue to add to their pedestrian receiving corps.

Jalin Hyatt had a great season with lots of big plays for Tennessee.

  15. New England Patriots: Quan Martin, CB/S, Illinois Illinois
Bill Belichick loves his versatile defensive backs. He’ll need one with Devin McCourty nearing retirement.

Quan Martin is a smooth athlete who can play anywhere in the secondary.

  16. Washington Redskins: Eli Ricks, CB, Alabama Alabama
The Redskins have endured major problems at cornerback for so long. I could see them double up at cornerback.

Eli Ricks is a 6-2 cornerback who had a breakout ’21 season for Alabama.

  17. Detroit Lions: Daiyan Henley, LB, Washington State Washington State
The Lions have maintained one of the worst linebacking corps in the NFL over the years.

Daiyan Henley has great sideline-to-sideline speed.

  18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jonathan Mingo, WR, Ole Miss Mississippi
The Steelers love finding wide receiver gems on Day 2 of the NFL Draft. It’ll be interesting to see whom the Steelers will draft to replace Chase Claypool.

Jonathan Mingo is a huge receiver who runs great routes and can generate good yards after the catch.

  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tanner McKee, QB, Stanford Stanford
The Buccaneers need a replacement for Tom Brady, as Kyle Trask has not shown any signs of being a franchise quarterback.

Tanner McKee has a strong arm. He excited some evaluators with his play this year.

  20. Miami Dolphins: Cam Mitchell, CB, Northwestern Northwestern
Byron Jones has discussed retiring because he can barely walk anymore. The Dolphins obviously need help at cornerback.

Cam Mitchell is an instinctive, phsyical cornerback with good size.

  21. Seattle Seahawks: Cedric Tillman, WR, Tennessee Tennessee
Seattle’s receiving corps is a mess beyond the top two players. This is a problem because Tyler Lockett is now in his 30s.

Cedric Tillman is a monstrously built receiver who had a breakout ’21 campaign.

  22. Chicago Bears: Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma Oklahoma
The Bears need everything, but most of all, they have to improve their offensive line because Justin Fields is being pressured way too often.

Anton Harrison has quality athleticism and quickness for a tackle.

Pick change; previously Zach Charbonnet, RB

  23. Los Angeles Chargers: Mike Morris, DE, Michigan Michigan
Khalil Mack is just a temporary solution across from Joey Bosa. Someone is needed for the long haul.

Mike Morris made big improvements as a pass-rusher during his final year.

  24. Detroit Lions: Luke Musgrave, TE, Oregon State Oregon State
The Lions have an obvious hole at tight end because they traded T.J. Hockenson.

Scouts like Luke Musgrave even though he never produced much in college.

  25. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ryan Hayes, G/OT, Michigan Michigan
The Jaguars could stand to bolster their offensive line so Trevor Lawrence takes his play to another level.

Ryan Hayes struggled against Georgia in the ’22 college football semi-final, but did well the following year.

  26. New York Giants: Will McDonald, DE, Iowa State Iowa State
The Giants need to improve their pass rush to bolster their pass defense, given that they’re in a division with so many talented receivers.

Will McDonald is a fast and athletic edge rusher.

  27. Dallas Cowboys: Noah Sewell, LB, Oregon Oregon
Mediocre-at-best draft writers criticized Charlie Campbell’s breaking news story about one team removing Leighton Vander Esch from their draft board because of concerns regarding his neck. As always, Charlie was proven correct, as Vander Esch has missed plenty of time with his neck problems. The Cowboys need linebacker help as a result. Noah Sewell is a big linebacker, but covers well for one. See where he ranks in our 2023 NFL Draft Prospect Rankings.

  28. Buffalo Bills: Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia Georgia
The Bills need to add another play-maker. This could be in the form of a tight end, as it’ll allow Buffalo to run two-tight end sets with Dawson Knox.

Darnell Washington is an excellent blocking tight end with underrated receiving talent.

  29. Cincinnati Bengals: Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee Tennessee
The Bengals could stand to bolster their offensive line with one more upgrade.

Darnell Wright didn’t allow a single sack to Hendon Hooker last year.

  30. Chicago Bears: Nolan Smith, DE/OLB, Georgia Georgia
The Bears can now turn toward their defense. They have no pass rush in the wake of the Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn departures.

Nolan Smith needs to get stronger, but he has great speed off the edge.

  31. Philadelphia Eagles: Clark Phillips, CB, Utah Utah
Darius Slay and James Bradberry have been an amazing duo, but both will be 30-plus heading into 2023. The Eagles will need to replace one of them soon.

Clark Phillips has some size issues, but has plenty of talent as a potential slot corner.

  32. Kansas City Chiefs: Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland Maryland
The Chiefs seem to have hit a home run with Trent McDuffie, but they still need cornerback help.

Deonte Banks is a fluid cover cornerback with great size and agility, but lacks discipline.
