  1. Houston Texans: John Metchie, WR, Alabama
Will Fuller is gone, while Brandin Cooks is a ticking time bomb. The Texans are desperate for receiver help.

John Metchie has a tendency to make big plays for Alabama’s offense.

  2. Detroit Lions: Josh Jobe, CB, Alabama
The Lions need some cornerback help across from Jeff Okudah.

Josh Jobe is a big, athletic cornerback with tremendous upside.

  3. Philadelphia Eagles: Shane Lee, LB, Alabama
The Eagles have one of the worst linebacking corps in the NFL that they need to address.

Shane Lee was able to start as a freshman because of Dylan Moses’ torn ACL, and he was impressive.

  4. Green Bay Packers: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
The Packers could finally obtain a solid No. 2 receiver with this pick.

Jahan Dotson caught 52 passes for 884 yards and eight touchdowns in just nine games in 2020. The 5-11 receiver made a big leap in production from the previous year.

  5. Atlanta Falcons: Master Teague, RB, Ohio State
How did the Falcons not draft a running back? That was one of the most shocking things of draft weekend!

Master Teague had some explosive performances in his first two seasons.

  6. New York Jets: Brenton Cox, DE/OLB, Florida
The Jets signed Carl Lawson, but they still need one more potent edge rusher to fix this position.

Brenton Cox has a nice skill set and plenty of athleticism and upside.

  7. Las Vegas Raiders: Ikem Ekwonu, G, N.C. State
Despite selecting Alex Leatherwood in the opening round, the Raiders still need to improve their regressing offensive line.

Ikem Ekwonu will play left tackle for N.C. State in 2021, but he’ll likely have to play guard in the NFL.

  8. New York Jets: Isaiah Spiller, RB, Texas A&M
The Jets waited until the fifth round to take a running back, so they could address that need with this pick.

Isaiah Spiller rushed for 1,036 yards and nine touchdowns in 2020. He did OK as a receiver out of the backfield.

  9. Dallas Cowboys: Cade Mays, OT, Tennessee
How much longer can Tyron Smith last in the NFL? It seems as though he’s been injured ever since his infamous bulging disc.

Cade Mays was a five-star recruit, and he has the potential to be an elite left tackle.

  10. Cincinnati Bengals: Rasheed Walker, OT, Penn State
Riley Reiff is just a temporary solution at tackle. The Bengals will need help there for the long haul.

Rasheed Walker could be a first-round pick if he lives up to his potential. He has quick feet for a player his size (6-6, 324).

  11. Jacksonville Jaguars: D.J. Dale, DT, Alabama
The Jaguars need to find a replacement for Calais Campbell after all these years.

D.J. Dale wasn’t highly productive in 2019, but he was a key rotational player on Alabama’s defensive line. It says a lot that Dale was able to see time despite his inexperience.

  12. New England Patriots: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
The Patriots can’t possibly win with Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne as their top receivers. Mac Jones needs help.

Chris Olave has a good mix of size (6-1, 185) and speed. He was a big play-maker at the end of 2019.

  13. New Orleans Saints: Jadon Haselwood, WR, Oklahoma
The Saints have needed a No. 2 receiver across from Michael Thomas for quite some time.

Jadon Haselwood is a large (6-2, 206) receiver who showcased his big-time play-making ability as a mere freshman.

  14. Pittsburgh Steelers: J.J. Enagbare, DE/OLB, South Carolina
The Steelers will need to find a replacement for Bud Dupree at some point.

J.J. Enagbare logged six sacks and two forced fumbles in eight games in 2020.

  15. Atlanta Falcons: John Metchie, WR, Alabama
The Falcons will need a replacement for Julio Jones, so perhaps they can use Tennessee’s pick on another Alabama receiver.

John Metchie has a tendency to make big plays for Alabama’s offense.

Pick change; previously Brandon Smith, DE/OLB

  16. New York Giants: Luke Matthews, C, Texas A&M
Center is still a weakness for the Giants, so this is a way to give Daniel Jones more help.

The latest member of the famed Matthews family to enter the NFL, Luke Matthews is a very intelligent blocker who can play both guard and center.

  17. Minnesota Vikings: Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson
Jeff Gladney has developed some off-the-field issues, so the Vikings may give up on him in the near future.

Andrew Booth Jr. is coming off an impressive 2020 campaign. There will be more focus on him with Derion Kendrick being expelled from the team.

Pick change; previously Isaac Taylor-Stuart, CB

  18. Seattle Seahawks: Logan Brown, OT, Wisconsin
Will the Seahawks ever fix their offensive line? Perhaps this will be the time.

Logan Brown has amazing power as a former five-star recruit.

  19. Chicago Bears: Wanya Morris, OT, Tennessee
The Bears used a second-round pick on Teven Jenkins, but they then cut Charles Leno, so they still need a tackle.

Wanya Morris was one of the most athletic offensive tackles coming out of his high school class; he was graded as a five-star recruit.

  20. Miami Dolphins: Christopher Hinton, DE/DT, Michigan
The Dolphins could stand to get stronger on the defensive line.

Christopher Hinton didn’t get to do much as a freshman, but he has high upside and could be a major contributor in the near future.

  21. Indianapolis Colts: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas
T.Y. Hilton is a regressing player, so he’ll need to be replaced at some point in the near future.

Treylon Burks is a 6-foot-3 receiver with good speed.

  22. Washington Redskins: Carson Strong, QB, Nevada
The Redskins will use an early pick on a quarterback if Taylor Heinicke disappoints.

Carson Strong completed 70 percent of his passes in 2020, all while maintaining a 27:4 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

  23. Los Angeles Chargers: LaBryan Ray, DT, Alabama
The Chargers will give Jerry Tillery one more chance to prove himself before replacing him.

LaBryan Ray flashed a bit alongside Quinnen Williams and now has a larger role on Alabama.

  24. Baltimore Ravens: Frank Ladson Jr., WR, Clemson
The Ravens drafted Rashod Bateman in the first round, but they still could use another receiver.

Frank Ladson Jr. didn’t get much of an opportunity in 2019 – he caught nine passes – but the five-star recruit will have a larger role next year.

  25. Arizona Cardinals: Zacch Pickens, DT, South Carolina
The Cardinals obtained J.J. Watt this offseason, but he’s obviously not a long-term solution on the defensive line.

Zacch Pickens has been impressing in practice, so perhaps he’ll be able to be dominant on the field in 2020.

  26. San Francisco 49ers: Bubba Bolden, S, Miami
Jaquiski Tartt is an impending free agent who may have to be replaced.

Bubba Bolden needs to bulk up for the NFL, but he could sneak into the first round.

  27. Cleveland Browns: Zachary Carter, DT, Florida
The Browns lost Sheldon Richardson, so they may want to obtain an interior presence on the defensive line.

Pick change; previously Dom Peterson, DT

  28. Buffalo Bills: Damone Clark, LB, LSU
Tremaine Edmunds might be on his way out next offseason, so here’s a potential replacement.

Damone Clark could be the next great LSU linebacker with his size and speed.

  29. Los Angeles Rams: Baylor Cupp, TE, Texas A&M
Much like the Jaguars, apparently, the Rams lost Gerald Everett, so he’ll need to be replaced.

Baylor Cupp is a tremendous athlete with great size (6-6, 245), but he missed 2019 with a fractured leg.

Pick change; previously Charlie Kolar, TE

  30. Denver Broncos: Ayodele Adeoye, LB, Texas
The Broncos have been looking for linebacker help for quite some time, so maybe they’ll address that need with this pick.

  31. Kansas City Chiefs: Trey Knox, WR, Arkansas
Sammy Watkins is gone, so the Chiefs will want to find a No. 2 receiver at some point.

Trey Knox has both the size (6-5, 218) and speed to be a first-round pick whenever he declares for the NFL Draft.

  32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: C.J. Verdell, RB, Oregon
Leonard Fournette was re-signed for 2021, but he may not be around after this season.

C.J. Verdell is a 200-pound back with explosive ability and plus catching skills. It didn’t take him very long to win the starting job as a redshirt freshman.
