The order of this 2021 NFL Mock Draft is based on my NFL Power Rankings, adjusting for playoff seeding in the 19-32 range.

  1. Baltimore Ravens: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
    Lamar Jackson was blamed for the playoff loss to the Titans, but his receivers really let him down.

    DeVonta Smith is an excellent route runner with great hands and tremendous run-after-catch ability.

  2. Las Vegas Raiders: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame
    It was shocking that the Raiders didn’t select Patrick Queen at No. 19 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. Perhaps they’ll obtain a linebacker here instead.

    Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is a fast linebacker who has drawn comparisons to Telvin Smith, per Charlie Campbell’s sources.

  3. New York Giants: Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech
    The Giants can’t count on the injury-prone Nate Solder, especially after he quit on them this year.

    Christian Darrisaw had an amazing 2020 season, propelling himself into first-round consideration.

  4. Minnesota Vikings: Kwity Paye, DE/DT, Michigan
    The Vikings have needed a starting defensive tackle next to Linval Joseph for quite some time. Now, they need a starter next to Michael Pierce, or perhaps a replacement for Pierce if he balloons up to 380 pounds during his opt-out.

    Kwity Paye has a chance to move into the upper half of the first round; he’s shown some upside in his only year as a starter.

  5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jay Tufele, DT, USC
    The Buccaneers have an elite defensive line, but Ndamukong Suh doesn’t have much time remaining in the NFL.

    Jay Tufele is an extremely athletic and agile 310-pound defensive tackle who could be chosen in the top half of the draft, whenever he declares.



  6. Miami Dolphins: Alex Leatherwood, OT/G, Alabama
    The Dolphins need to add to their offensive line to help Tua Tagovailoa, who had issues with Denver’s pressure in a recent loss.

    Alex Leatherwood, a former five-star recruit, has excellent strength to be a stellar run blocker and the athleticism to block elite edge rushers.

  7. Indianapolis Colts: Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech
    The Colts have an outstanding cornerback in Xavier Rhodes, but they could use more talent on the other side of the field.

    Caleb Farley opted out of the 2020 season, but he has high upside with nice size and speed.



  8. Tennessee Titans: Rashad Weaver, DE, Pittsburgh
    The Titans have no pass rush. Jadeveon Clowney isn’t getting sacks, while Vic Beasley was released.

    Rashad Evans has good size (6-5, 270) and athleticism. He’s rebounded well after missing all of 2019 with an injury.

  9. New York Jets: Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
    The Le’Veon Bell-Adam Gase marriage is finally over. The Jets are so inept that they couldn’t even trade Le’Veon Bell, so they cut him. Pathetic!

    Travis Etienne is coming off a huge year in which he rushed for 1,572 yards. He has worked to become a better receiver.



  10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Andre Cisco, S, Syracuse
    The Jaguars have a terrible secondary. Upgrades are needed at cornerback and safety. They used a first-round choice on the former position last year, so here’s a new safety.

    Andre Cisco has a chance to sneak into the first round when he declares, as he’s been a very productive player.

  11. Cleveland Browns: Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU
    Odell Beckham Jr. could be shipped off if he continues to cause trouble or fail to recover. Here’s a replacement for him if that happens.

    Terrace Marshall has nice size (6-3, 200), speed and route-running ability.



  12. Buffalo Bills: Wyatt Davis, G, Ohio State
    The Bills struggled when battling tough pass rushes last year, so they’ll need to improve their offensive line in case this becomes an issue during the 2020 playoff run.

    Wyatt Davis is a tough run blocker with nice size.

  13. Green Bay Packers: Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
    The Packers seemed to forget that they had a big need at receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft. Perhaps they’ll find an upgrade for Jordan Love in this class.

    Chris Olave has a good mix of size (6-1, 185) and speed. He was a big play-maker at the end of 2019.

  14. Kansas City Chiefs: Tyson Campbell, CB, Georgia
    The Chiefs could add another cornerback. They’ll need to deal with Justin Herbert and Derek Carr for the divisional title for quite some time.

    Tyson Campbell is a very strong, physical cornerback with great size (6-2, 180).

  15. New Orleans Saints: Jevon Holland, S, Oregon
    The Saints need to continue to improve their secondary, as their pass defense was a weakness in 2019. Malcolm Jenkins looks shot.

    Jevon Holland has tremendous instincts as a very talented play-maker, though he needs to improve his tackling.

  16. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kyle Trask, QB, Florida
    The Steelers may want to use an early pick on a quarterback, as they don’t have a successor for the injury-prone Ben Roethlisberger.

    Kyle Trask is an accurate passer with a strong arm, but he needs to hasten his decision-making. He was great in the 2020 opener.
