  1. New England Patriots: Duke Ejiofor, DE, Wake Forest
The Patriots will be getting Derek Rivers back from injury next year, but they may decide that he’s not enough to bolster their pass rush. Getting a third potent edge rusher to go along with Rivers and Trey Flowers would make sense.

  2. Cleveland Browns: Damien Harris, RB, Alabama
The Browns could easily spend the first-overall pick on Saquon Barkley. If they don’t, they’ll need someone else to upgrade the disappointing Isaiah Crowell.

  3. New York Giants: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford
Shane Vereen is an impending free agent, so the Giants will need a new running back to perhaps complement Orleans Darkwa. It’s unclear if Darkwa is even good enough to be the starter, but he’s the best the Giants have. That would change with Bryce Love, who has shown some dynamic play-making ability as Christian McCaffrey’s replacement.

  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
The Buccaneers are taking a chance on Doug Martin reverting back to 2015 form. We’ll see if that happens. If not, they’ll be looking for a running back early in the 2018 NFL Draft.

  5. Indianapolis Colts: Mitch Hyatt, OT, Clemson
It’s not exactly breaking news that the Colts need offensive line help. They’ll have to spend an early pick on a blocker to help protect Andrew Luck.

  6. Cleveland Browns: Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State
The Browns are so desperate for receivers that they could use two choices in the first couple of rounds on wideouts.

  7. Los Angeles Chargers: DeShon Elliott, S, Texas
Everyone thought the Chargers would select Malik Hooker No. 7 overall. They went with Mike Williams instead, so here’s their chance to obtain an upgrade at safety.

  8. Denver Broncos: Timon Parris, OT, Stony Brook
The Broncos have to find a new quarterback, but I imagine they’ll go the veteran route, acquiring Kirk Cousins or Eli Manning. If so, they’ll need a new tackle to protect them.

  9. Chicago Bears: Iman Marshall, CB, USC
The Bears have a pair of talented young safeties in Adrian Amos and Eddie Jackson. They could use some youth at cornerback, as Prince Amukamara doesn’t seem like he’s in the long-term plans. He’s an impending free agent anyway.

  10. Cincinnati Bengals: Jamarco Jones, OT, Ohio State
No one should be surprised if the Bengals double up on offensive tackles in the first couple of rounds in the 2018 NFL Draft, based on how the offensive line has performed.

  11. New York Jets: Clayton Thorson, QB, Northwestern
The Jets missed out on the top quarterbacks in this class, so they’ll have to find a signal-caller in Round 2.

Many may not know the name yet, but according to Charlie Campbell, Clayton Thorson been getting some first-round consideration. Read more in the NFL Hot Press.

  12. Oakland Raiders: Jordan Whitehead, S, Pittsburgh
Reggie Nelson is an impending free agent, but it’s unlikely the Raiders are going to re-sign the 34-year-old anyway, given how much he has struggled this season. Oakland needs help at safety next to Karl Joseph if it wants to improve its struggling pass defense.

Pick change; previously Matthew Thomas, LB

  13. Baltimore Ravens: Tony Brown, CB, Alabama
Unless Brandon Carr takes a big pay cut, I can’t see him being back next year. The Ravens could pursue another cornerback early in the draft if Carr leaves.

  14. Miami Dolphins: Mark Andrews, TE, Oklahoma
The Dolphins could add another offensive weapon. Addressing tight end makes sense, as I don’t have much hope for Julius Thomas.

  15. Atlanta Falcons: Andrew Brown, DE/DT, Virginia
The Falcons have three defensive linemen set to hit free agency next spring, so this is an area they could attack in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Trenton Thompson, DT

  16. Green Bay Packers: Kevin Toliver, CB, LSU
The Packers almost have to keep picking cornerbacks until they get a talented one, right? It’s amazing how bad their pass defense is.

  17. Detroit Lions: Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
Ameer Abdullah is extremely talented, but he hasn’t been able to stay healthy. If he gets banged up again this year, Detroit could opt to move on with another running back.

  18. Washington Redskins: Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame
Terrelle Pryor has struggled thus far, and he was signed to a 1-year deal anyway. I can’t see the Redskins retaining him if his poor play continues.

Pick change; previously D.J. Chark, WR

  19. Arizona Cardinals: Luke Falk, QB, Washington State
As mentioned in the first round, the Cardinals have to focus on finding a second-day quarterback they really like to be a successor for Carson Palmer.

  20. New York Jets: Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M
Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker are gone. Jermaine Kearse and Quincy Enunwa are not viable starters, while Robby Anderson seems like a No. 2 at best. The Jets need help at receiver.

Pick change; previously Courtland Sutton, WR

  21. Dallas Cowboys: Antonio Callaway, WR, Florida
The Cowboys could use another threat in the receiving corps, and they’ve shown that they’re willing to take chances on troubled players. Antonio Callway has some major off-the-field issues, but some team could give him a shot in the second round.

  22. Buffalo Bills: Akrum Wadley, RB, Iowa
It’s unclear why the Bills got rid of Jonathan Williams in favor of Mike Tolbert, but they’ll need to find another young running back behind LeSean McCoy.

  23. Tennessee Titans: Josh Sweat, DE/OLB, Florida State
Brian Orakpo appears to be slowing down, while Kevin Dodd hasn’t shown that he can be an NFL-caliber player yet. There’s a good chance the Titans spend an early draft choice on an edge rusher to start across from Derrick Morgan.

  24. Carolina Panthers: Anthony Averett, CB, Alabama
The Panthers really need to boost their secondary, which would’ve been torched by the Falcons had Matt Ryan and Julio Jones been able to connect on their two deep passes.

Pick change; previously Equanimeous St. Brown, WR

  25. Jacksonville Jaguars: Troy Fumagalli, TE, Wisconsin
The Jaguars could use a new tight end, as they don’t have anything at the position in the wake of the Julius Thomas trade.

  26. Kansas City Chiefs: Simmie Cobbs Jr., WR, Indiana
The Chiefs could use a second receiver to play across from Tyreek Hill.

  27. Minnesota Vikings: Tyquan Lewis, DE, Ohio State
Brian Robison has stated that he’s going to retire after 2018, so the Vikings will need some new talent behind Everson Griffen and Danielle Hunter.

  28. Buffalo Bills: Isaiah Wynn, G, Georgia
The Bills need to improve the right side of the offensive line. Perhaps Dion Dawkins will be able to properly replace Jordan Mills sometime soon. Right guard John Miller must also be upgraded.

  29. San Francisco 49ers: James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State
The 49ers have just one viable receiver in Pierre Garcon. That definitely needs to change if Jimmy Garoppolo is to have success in San Francisco.

Pick change; previously Christian Kirk, WR

  30. Pittsburgh Steelers: Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
The Steelers could stand to obtain a viable backup behind Le’Veon Bell.

  31. New England Patriots: Matthew Thomas, LB, Florida State
The Patriots desperately need to address their linebacking corps, which has been an utter mess outside of Dont’a Hightower.

Pick change; previously Darius Leonard, LB

  32. Cleveland Browns: Jordan Thomas, CB, Oklahoma
The Browns need to continue to attack their poor defense. If the loss to the Colts was any indication, they desperately need an upgrade at cornerback.
