  1. Cleveland Browns: Jonnu Smith, TE, Florida International
Gary Barnidge is a late bloomer, but that also means that he’ll have to be replaced in the near future.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: Elijah Qualls, DT, Washington
With the 49ers moving to a 4-3, they’ll need to collect some pieces that happen to fit their defense.

  3. Chicago Bears: Michael Roberts, TE, Toledo
The Bears could go for combine standout Adam Shaheen, as their starting tight end, Zach Miller, is skilled, but often injured.

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Danny Isidora, G, Miami
The Jaguars have to keep adding offensive talent around Blake Bortles to be completely sure that he’s not a bust.

  5. Los Angeles Rams: Will Holden, OT, Vanderbilt
The Rams signed Andrew Whitworth, but he’s obviously a short-term solution at left tackle because he’s 35.

  6. New York Jets: Fish Smithson, S, Kansas
The Jets would love to get Jamal Adams. If they can’t, they may have to settle for a safety upgrade like this.

Pick change; previously Chad Williams, WR

  7. Los Angeles Chargers: Vince Biegel, LB, Wisconsin
The Chargers may want to add some linebacker depth, given the transition to the new 4-3 defense.

Pick change; previously Amba Etta-Tawo, WR

  8. Carolina Panthers: Fred Ross, WR, Mississippi State
The Panthers could add two receivers in the draft to really bolster the position.

  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Chad Hansen, WR, California
As mentioned earlier, the Bengals are expected to double up on receivers, as they really need to attack the position.

  10. Washington Redskins: C.J. Beathard, QB, Iowa
The Redskins will likely take a quarterback at some point, just in case Kirk Cousins leaves next spring.

Pick change; previously Kyle Fuller, QB

  11. Philadelphia Eagles: Keionta Davis, DE, UT-Chattanooga
Connor Barwin left via free agency, and while Chris Long was signed, that was just a short-term depth addition.

  12. Buffalo Bills: Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State
One of Buffalo’s greatest needs is at right tackle. Unfortunately, this class is pretty weak at the position.

  13. Arizona Cardinals: Amba Etta-Tawo, WR, Syracuse
Michael Floyd is gone, while Larry Fitzgerald could retire soon. Arizona will have to find a new receiver.

Pick change; previously Cooper Kupp, WR

  14. Indianapolis Colts: Josh Malone, WR, Tennessee
Donte Moncrief will be a free agent after this season, while Phillip Dorsett has done nothing thus far, so the Colts could try to obtain a mid-round receiver.

  15. Baltimore Ravens: Carlos Henderson, WR, Louisiana Tech
The Ravens need a couple of receivers, especially in the wake of Steve Smith’s retirement.

Pick change; previously Bucky Hodges, TE

  16. Minnesota Vikings: Sam Tevi, OT, Utah
The Vikings added two offensive tackles in free agency, but that’s not enough. They know very well what can happen if injuries take place on the offensive line.

  17. San Francisco 49ers: Chad Williams, WR, Grambling
The 49ers really have nothing at receiver outside of Pierre Garcon, so they could spend multiple picks on the position.

Pick change; previously Vince Biegel, DE/OLB

  18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jehu Chesson, WR, Michigan
The Buccaneers need a third receiver to play alongside Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson. Corey Davis is an option in Round 1, but this makes sense as well.

  19. Buffalo Bills: Elijah Hood, RB, North Carolina
The Bills obtained this pick when the Patriots signed Mike Gillislee, so they might as well find a replacement.

Pick change; previously Jeremy McNichols, RB

  20. Tennessee Titans: Nazair Jones, DE/DT, North Carolina
The Titans could stand to add some defensive line depth during the third day of the 2017 NFL Draft.

  21. Detroit Lions: Brian Allen, CB, Utah
The Lions could be looking for a No. 2 cornerback for the future, as Nevin Lawson’s contract will expire after this season.

  22. Miami Dolphins: Jordan Morgan, G, Kutztown
The Dolphins need a guard with Laremy Tunsil moving to left tackle.

  23. New York Giants: Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona State
The Giants currently don’t have a viable kicker on their roster, so this is an option on Day 3. I’d wager a little that they’d consider Zane Gonzalez.

  24. Oakland Raiders: Shelton Gibson, WR, West Virginia
The Raiders had one of the worst No. 3 receivers in Seth Roberts last year, so they could use an upgrade to play along with Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper.

  25. Houston Texans: Ethan Cooper, G, IUP
The Texans could add more talent to the offensive line, which will need to improve in order to keep their new quarterback protected.

  26. Kansas City Chiefs: Vincent Taylor, DT, Oklahoma State
Andy Reid is never one to shy away from bolstering the defensive line. He may be forced into doing so with Jaye Howard and Jarvis Jenkins set to hit free agency next spring.

  27. Buffalo Bills: Tedric Thompson, S, Colorado
The Bills feel they’re set at safety as far as their starters are concerned, but they need to add depth at the position.

  28. Green Bay Packers: Joe Williams, RB, Utah
The Packers could obviously address their running back situation much earlier than this, but better late than never.

  29. Pittsburgh Steelers: Marquez White, CB, Florida State
The Steelers would like to address their cornerback situation sometime on Day 2. That didn’t work out in this scenario, unfortunately.

  30. Atlanta Falcons: Tanner Vallejo, LB, Boise State
Philip Wheeler has played far too many snaps for the Falcons this year, so they should make sure that doesn’t happen again.

  31. Cleveland Browns: Sam Rogers, FB, Virginia Tech
The Browns tried to sign Kyle Juszczyk this offseason, but the 49ers outbid them. Perhaps that means they’ll target a fullback in the middle rounds.

  32. Cincinnati Bengals: Josh Harvey-Clemons, ILB, Louisville
Kevin Minter was a nice, short-term signing, but the Bengals need a linebacker solution for the long haul.

  33. Denver Broncos: Erik Magnuson, OT, Michigan
The Broncos could stand to add multiple offensive tackles, considering their dire situation at the position.

  34. Miami Dolphins: Travis Rudolph, WR, Florida State
There was some trade speculation surrounding Jarvis Landry earlier in the offseason. If that’s still in the plans, perhaps the Dolphins will use a mid-round pick on a receiver.

  35. Arizona Cardinals: Adam Bisnowaty, OT, Pittsburgh
The Cardinals had injury issues on the offensive line last year, so I’m sure they’ll be looking for blocking depth on Day 3 of the 2017 NFL Draft.

  36. Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Augusta, NT, Missouri
Bennie Logan was signed, but for a short-term deal. The Chiefs could add a nose tackle for insurance purposes.

  37. Cleveland Browns: Matt Dayes, RB, N.C. State
The Browns could spend one of their billion picks in the 2017 NFL Draft on a running back.

  38. Green Bay Packers: Johnathan Ford, S, Auburn
Micah Hyde is gone, so the Packers could spend a draft pick on a replacement.

  39. New England Patriots: Conor McDermott, OT, UCLA
The Patriots could spend a third-day pick on an offensive tackle, as they could stand to upgrade their blocking depth.

  40. Miami Dolphins: Nate Gerry, S, Nebraska
The Dolphins cut Isa Abdul-Quddus, opening up a void at safety. Here’s a possible solution.
