  1. Cleveland Browns: Antonio Garcia, OT, Troy
The Browns lost Alex Mack and Mitchell Schwartz last offseason, and they’ll need to replace both this offseason. They can address the right tackle spot with this selection by taking the rising Antonio Garcia.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: John Ross, WR, Washington
I don’t understand why the 49ers avoided addressing the receiver position until late in the 2016 NFL Draft. How did they not realize that they have such a huge need in that area? Perhaps the new front office will make amends for this mistake.

  3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
The Jaguars tried Luke Joeckel at guard, but it doesn’t appear as though he’s cutting it there either. They’ll have to spend an early selection on an upgrade. Dan Feeney won’t be able to teach his teammates much until he’s a veteran, but he would be a better option than Joeckel.

  4. Chicago Bears: Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida
The Bears have some promising young talent at cornerback, but they still need help at the position, and I can’t imagine them passing on a great prospect like Jalen Tabor in the second round.

  5. Los Angeles Rams: Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio State
The Rams keep waiting for Brian Quick to do something, but it’s not happening. They need to find another weapon for Jared Goof. People in Los Angeles currently don’t care about the Rams, but perhaps there will be interest from three or four more people if the team selects a dynamic play-maker like Curtis Samuel.

  6. Los Angeles Chargers: T.J. Watt, LB, Wisconsin
The Chargers have mostly been using Joey Bosa on the defensive line, so they could stand to find another outside linebacker to play across from Melvin Ingram. T.J. Watt, the younger brother of J.J. Watt, could be chosen in the first round, so he provides good value here.

  7. New York Jets: Charles Harris, DE/OLB, Missouri
New York’s secondary was heavily criticized last year, and rightfully so. Part of the problem, however, was a lackluster pass rush. The Jets have needed a stout edge rusher for years now, so perhaps this will finally be the offseason that they find one.

Pick change; previously JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR

  8. Carolina Panthers: Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
Jonathan Stewart is still a quality runner, but he turns 30 this March, so Carolina might envision someone like Alvin Kamara as Cam Newton’s backfield partner for the next 8-10 years.

  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Dawuane Smoot, DE/OLB, Illinois
The Bengals don’t have a very good edge rush, as Carlos Dunlap is the only defensive end capable of putting consistent heat on opposing quarterbacks. Michael Johnson is a bust signing and must be upgraded.

  10. New Orleans Saints: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State
Two of the Saints’ early-round picks are expected to be used on a pass-rusher and a cornerback. Here’s an upgrade for the latter position, as the Saints pick up a strong value in Gareon Conley at this juncture.

Pick change; previously Jarrad Davis, LB

  11. Philadelphia Eagles: Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan
The Eagles have needed to upgrade their dubious cornerback situation for quite some time now, and I expect them to do so in the first couple of rounds in the 2017 NFL Draft. There are tons of strong cornerback prospects available in this class, so the Eagles can afford to wait until the second round.

Pick change; previously Zay Jones, WR

  12. Buffalo Bills: Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina
The Bills spent their first-round pick on Mitch Trubisky, so they’ll have to surround their new quarterback with a weapon or a new blocker. Of the two, Shelton Gibson is the top prospect available, and he makes a ton of sense for Buffalo. Sammy Watkins has struggled to stay healthy, while Robert Woods is an underwhelming No. 2 option.

Pick change; previously Shelton Gibson, WR

  13. Arizona Cardinals: Chris Wormley, DE/DT, Michigan
Calais Campbell will be a 31-year-old free agent entering next offseason. It goes without saying that the Cardinals will have to replace him if he leaves.

  14. Minnesota Vikings: Taylor Moton, OT, Western Michigan
I’m sure that if the Vikings had the cap space, they would’ve used this pick to trade for Joe Thomas. Alas, they do not, so they can try to remedy their awful tackle situation by picking one at this juncture.

  15. Baltimore Ravens: Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU
Steve Smith’s time in the NFL is over, and the same thing could be said about Breshad Perriman could be saying the same thing soon if he doesn’t prove himself. Baltimore spending an early-round pick on a receiver shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Pick change; previously Carroll Phillips, DE/OLB

  16. Indianapolis Colts: Tim Williams, DE/OLB, Alabama
Tim Williams has Randy Gregory-type off-the-field concerns, but once again, new general manager Chris Ballard worked closely with Andy Reid, who had success taking chances on troubled players. There’s no doubt that Williams would improve Indianapolis’ poor pass rush.

  17. Washington Redskins: Obi Melifonwu, S, Connecticut
As mentioned in the first round, the Redskins need help at defensive end, inside linebacker and safety to shore up the middle of their defense. Obi Melifonwu, who had a terrific Senior Bowl, seems like the type of prospect the Redskins love.

  18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DeMarcus Walker, DE/DT, Florida State
The Buccaneers are getting quite the bargain with DeMarcus Walker in the middle of the second round. They need another edge rusher, as Robert Ayers, who turns 32 in August, is just a short-term solution at defensive end.

  19. Denver Broncos: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
It’s safe to say that the Dolphins haven’t exactly gotten what they had expected out of Jordan Cameron, though not all of that is his fault, given his concussion issues. Here’s a much-needed upgrade at tight end.

Pick change; previously David Njoku, TE

  20. Cleveland Browns: Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee
This is way too early for Joshua Dobbs, but the Browns aren’t scared to reach for a quarterback prospect if they like him, as they spent a third-round pick on Cody Kessler last year when everyone thought Kessler would be taken in the sixth or seventh frame. The scuttlebutt is that the Browns like Dobbs, as they coached him in the Senior Bowl.

  21. Detroit Lions: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida
DeAndre Levy has played in only six games the past two seasons, and the Lions would need an upgrade at linebacker even if he were healthy most of the time. I’d expect an early pick to be used on the position fairly early in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Gareon Conley, CB

  22. Miami Dolphins: Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
It’s safe to say that the Dolphins haven’t exactly gotten what they had expected out of Jordan Cameron, though not all of that is his fault, given his concussion issues. Here’s a much-needed upgrade at tight end.

Pick change; previously Evan Engram, TE

  23. New York Giants: Julie’n Davenport, OT, Bucknell
The Giants spent their first-round pick on Deshaun Watson, so here’s a quality blocker for their new quarterback. New York had awful play from its tackles this season, but adding a blind-side protector and moving Ereck Flowers to the right side should work.

  24. Oakland Raiders: D’Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
Latavius Murray said he wants to re-sign with the Raiders, but I’m not sure Oakland will want him back. The coaching staff never wanted to have Murray handle the workload, so maybe the front office will spend an early draft choice on a runner they’re more confident in.

  25. Houston Texans: Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh
The Texans selecting a quarterback in the early rounds would’ve seemed unfathomable a few months ago, but Brock Osweiler has been so horrible that he was benched in favor of Tom Savage, who isn’t a good quarterback either. I can’t imagine the Texans going into next year with Osweiler and Savage as their only quarterbacks.

Pick change; previously Gerald Everett, TE

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson
Prior to the 2016 NFL Draft, one team thought the Seahawks were going to select Robert Nkemdiche. Seattle could use another interior pass-rusher to help the secondary out if there are injuries once again.

Pick change; previously Adam Bisnowaty, OT

  27. Kansas City Chiefs: Montravius Adams, DE/DT, Auburn
Andy Reid loves bolstering the trenches, and I imagine he’ll do so after seeing his defense get gashed against the run all year.

Pick change; previously Nathan Peterman, QB

  28. Dallas Cowboys: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
Dallas is almost certainly not going to retain Terrance Williams, while Dez Bryant has proven to be injury-prone and unreliable. The Cowboys need a strong No. 2 receiver.

Pick change; previously Fabian Moreau, CB

  29. Green Bay Packers: Brian Hill, RB, Wyoming
Ty Montgomery looked awesome at running back against the Bears, but how sustainable is that? And will Eddie Lacy continue to gain weight? There are lots of questions at running back for the Packers, who can solve them by selecting a talented player like Brian Hill.

Pick change; previously Jeremy McNichols, RB

  30. Pittsburgh Steelers: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
This is a great value pick for the Steelers, as Tre’Davious White is a steal at the end of Round 2 (click the link for a detailed scouting report). Besides, it’s not like they couldn’t use some depth at cornerback.

  31. Atlanta Falcons: Forrest Lamp, G/OT, Western Kentucky
The Falcons could stand to upgrade Chris Chester, the one liability that they currently possess on their offensive line. Atlanta would love Forrest Lamp falling to them toward the end of the second frame.

  32. New England Patriots: Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Alabama
The Patriots cut Dominique Easley last offseason, but never found a replacement for him. They can do that in the early stages of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Jaleel Johnson, DT
