  1. Cleveland Browns: Marcus Maye, S, Florida
The Browns fixed some of their issues on defense in the first round by selecting an edge rusher and a cornerback. Here’s something else for the secondary, as the Browns have some of the worst safeties in the NFL, so they need to make some upgrades.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: John Ross, WR, Washington
I don’t understand why the 49ers avoided addressing the receiver position until late in the 2016 NFL Draft. How did they not realize that they have such a huge need in that area?

Pick change; previously John Ross, WR

  3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ethan Pocic, C/G, LSU
The Jaguars tried Luke Joeckel at guard, but it doesn’t appear as though he’s cutting it there either. They’ll have to spend an early selection on an upgrade.

  4. Chicago Bears: Adoree Jackson, CB/KR, USC
The Bears have some promising young talent at cornerback, but they still need help at the position, and I can’t imagine them passing on a great prospect like Adoree Jackson in the second round. Jackson could go in the top 20 if he’s medically cleared, but he suffered an injury in the Rose Bowl.

Pick change; previously Martinas Rankin, OT

  5. Los Angeles Rams: Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio State
The Rams keep waiting for Brian Quick to do something, but it’s not happening. They need to find another weapon for Jared Goff. People in Los Angeles don’t care about the Rams, but perhaps there will be interest from three or four more people if the team selects a USC player.

Pick change; previously JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR

  6. San Diego Chargers: Dawuane Smoot, DE/OLB, Illinois
The Chargers have mostly been using Joey Bosa on the defensive line, so they could stand to find another outside linebacker to play across from Melvin Ingram. Dawuane Smoot could be chosen in the first round, so he provides great value here.

Pick change; previously T.J. Watt, DE/OLB

  7. New York Jets: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
Given all of the problems Brandon Marshall caused in the locker room, I can’t imagine him being back with the team next year. With that in mind, the Jets will need to find a No. 2 receiver to play across from Eric Decker.

Pick change; previously Courtland Sutton, WR

  8. Carolina Panthers: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State
The Panthers missed Josh Norman last year. James Bradberry performed on a high level at cornerback this past year, but Carolina is still in need of help at the position.

  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida
The Bengals have a couple of linebackers entering their contract years in 2017, so they may opt to use a selection in Rounds 2-4 on a future starter, especially if they can get great value like this.

  10. New Orleans Saints: Desmond King, CB, Iowa
When the Saints released Keenan Lewis in the offseason, it was pretty evident that they would have issues at cornerback this season, and that has turned out to be the case. They need an upgrade across from Delvin Breaux so they can stop starting the likes of B.W. Webb.

Pick change; previously O.J. Howard, TE

  11. Philadelphia Eagles: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
Here’s the cornerback pick the Eagles eschewed in the first round. They’re really hurting at the position, and if you don’t believe me, just check out what Andy Dalton did to Philadelphia’s secondary in Week 13.

Pick change; previously Desmond King, CB

  12. Buffalo Bills: Shelton Gibson, WR, West Virginia
The Bills spent their first-round pick on Pat Mahomes, so they’ll have to surround their new quarterback with a weapon or a new blocker. Of the two, JuJu Smith-Schuster is the top prospect available, and he makes a ton of sense for Buffalo. Sammy Watkins has struggled to stay healthy, while Robert Woods is an underwhelming No. 2 option.

Pick change; previously Deshaun Watson, QB

  13. Arizona Cardinals: DeMarcus Walker, DE/DT, Florida State
Calais Campbell will be a 31-year-old free agent entering next offseason. It goes without saying that the Cardinals will have to replace him if he leaves.

  14. Minnesota Vikings: Martinas Rankin, OT, Mississippi State
I’m sure that if the Vikings had the cap space, they would’ve used this pick to trade for Joe Thomas. Alas, they do not, so they can try to remedy their awful tackle situation by picking one at this juncture.

Pick change; previously Julie’n Davenport, OT

  15. Baltimore Ravens: T.J. Watt, LB, Wisconsin
The Ravens struggled to get pressure on the quarterback most of the year. A part of the problem is that Elvis Dumervil and Terrell Suggs will be 33 and 34, respectively, by the 2017 NFL Draft. Some young blood will be needed on the edge. T.J. Watt, the younger brother of J.J. Watt, is one of the top players available.

Pick change; previously Christian McCaffrey, RB

  16. Indianapolis Colts: Takkarist McKinley, DE/OLB, UCLA
The Colts desperately need to upgrade their linebacking corps. That includes finding a potent edge rusher, which is something they currently lack right now. Erik Walden sucks; Trent Cole is old; while Robert Mathis is even older.

  17. Washington Redskins: Justin Evans, S, Texas A&M
As mentioned in the first round, the Redskins need help at defensive end, inside linebacker and safety to shore up the middle of their defense. Justin Evans is now the top prospect available who satisfies one of those needs.

  18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: D’Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
Doug Martin has entered rehab, while Charles Sims didn’t exactly live up to expectations as a replacement. The Buccaneers will be looking for a new running back to at least pair with Sims.

Pick change; previously Jaleel Johnson, DT

  19. Denver Broncos: Christian McCaffrey, RB/WR, Stanford
Christian McCaffrey may slip because of his correct decision to sit out a postseason exhibition contest. However, John Elway played with McCaffrey’s father, and he needs a No. 2 running back in case C.J. Anderson gets hurt again.

Pick change; previously David Njoku, TE

  20. Cleveland Browns: Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State
Terrelle Pryor didn’t get the 1,800 yards Charles Woodson predicted, but he did cross the 1,000-yard barrier. Pryor made himself a ton of money this offseason, so if the Browns don’t re-sign him, they’ll have to search for a new receiver. Perhaps they’ll take Chris Godwin, who dominated USC in the Rose Bowl.

  21. Detroit Lions: David Njoku, TE, Miami
Eric Ebron has been a major disappointment as a former first-round pick. He drops everything in sight, so the Lions may consider a second-day selection on a potential replacement.

Pick change; previously Tre’Davious White, CB

  22. Miami Dolphins: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
It’s safe to say that the Dolphins haven’t exactly gotten what they had expected out of Jordan Cameron, though not all of that is his fault, given his concussion issues. Here’s a much-needed upgrade at tight end.

  23. New York Giants: Julie’n Davenport, OT, Bucknell
The Giants spent their first-round pick on Deshaun Watson, so here’s a quality blocker for their new quarterback. New York had awful play from its tackles this season, but adding a blind-side protector and moving Ereck Flowers to the right side should work.

Pick change; previously Carlos Watkins, DT

  24. Oakland Raiders: Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan
The Raiders have two great cornerbacks in David Amerson and Sean Smith, but that’s about it. They could use depth at the position, and it doesn’t hurt that they’re getting one of the top prospects available.

  25. Houston Texans: Forrest Lamp, OT, Western Kentucky
It’s unfortunate that Derek Newton’s career could be over because of a double patellar tendon tear. The Texans will have to find a new right tackle, and I’m sure they’d love to get Forrest Lamp.

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Nazair Jones, DE/DT, North Carolina
There was one team that was convinced the Seahawks would select Robert Nkemdiche in the 2016 NFL Draft. They did not, but it made a ton of sense, as Seattle could use another pass-rushing presence, both on the edge and the interior.

  27. Green Bay Packers: Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
Ty Montgomery looked awesome at running back against the Bears, but how sustainable is that? And will Eddie Lacy continue to gain weight? There are lots of questions at running back for the Packers, who can solve them by selecting a talented player like Alvin Kamara.

  28. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jeremy McNichols, RB, Boise State
DeAngelo Williams won’t be around much longer, so the Steelers will need a viable backup running back just in case Le’Veon Bell gets suspended again.

  29. Atlanta Falcons: Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
The Falcons could stand to upgrade Chris Chester, the one liability that they currently possess on their offensive line. Dan Feeney won’t be able to teach his teammates much until he’s a veteran, but he could provide an upgrade on the interior of the front.

  30. Kansas City Chiefs: Tim Williams, DE/OLB, Alabama
Here we go. If you noticed Tim Williams missing in the first round, it’s because I’ve decided to drop him to the end of the second frame. We’ve learned of some glaring off-the-field issues regarding Williams, so if you’re searching for a comparison, think Randy Gregory’s fall a couple of years ago. However, some team will take a shot on Williams because of his immense talent level, and Andy Reid has given second chances to players before.

  31. Dallas Cowboys: Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
Jason Witten doesn’t have much time remaining in the NFL, so the Cowboys could stand to use an early selection on a tight end.

  32. New England Patriots: Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa
The Patriots cut Dominique Easley last offseason, but never found a replacement for him. They can do that in the early stages of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Charles Walker, DT
