  1. Detroit Lions: Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor
The Lions never properly replaced Ndamukong Suh and the other defensive tackles they lost this past season, so they’ll have to put forth effort into doing so next spring.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

  2. Cleveland Browns: Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State
The Browns have to use an early-round pick on a receiver eventually, right? They can’t keep going with retreads.

Pick change; previously Josh Doctson, WR

  3. San Diego Chargers: Chris Jones, DE/DT, Mississippi State
The Chargers re-signed Corey Liuget to a $30 million contract this past offseason, so I don’t know how much money they want to invest in their defensive line. This is significant, as Kendall Reyes happens to be a free agent at the end of this year. San Diego may want to obtain someone more consistent up front anyway, as Reyes is having a terrible season.

  4. Tennessee Titans: Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor
The Titans need to build around Marcus Mariota by finding another play-maker for him. Justin Hunter has been a huge disappointment, while Kendall Wright will be a free agent after the 2016 season.

  5. Baltimore Ravens: Josh Doctson, WR, TCU
Steve Smith announced that this will be his final season, so the Ravens will need a new starting receiver to go along with Breshad Perriman. Smith may decide to try to return from his torn Achilles, but either way, Baltimore can’t count on him being there in 2016.

Pick change; previously William Fuller, WR

  6. Dallas Cowboys: Alex Collins, RB, Arkansas
Darren McFadden has looked good recently, but the Cowboys can’t really count on him for the long term. Here’s their running back of the future.

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jack Allen, C, Michigan State
The Jaguars signed Stefen Wisniewski, but that was just to a 1-year deal, so they may need a new center after this season. Wisniewski has played well though, so he could be re-signed.

Pick change; previously Dan Voltz, C

  8. San Francisco 49ers: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas
The 49ers just dealt Vernon Davis, so they’ll be looking to replace him at some point during the offseason. They’ll need to find better weapons for their new quarterback.

  9. Chicago Bears: Carl Nassib, DE/OLB, Penn State
The Bears continue to bolster their defense. Willie Young hasn’t transitioned well into the 3-4, so like Jared Allen, he could be traded at some point. Chicago has to find a solid pass-rusher across from Pernell McPhee.

Pick change; previously Tyler Johnstone, OT

  10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama
I’m not sure what the Buccaneers plan on doing at the running back position, but Doug Martin is a free agent, while Charles Sims hasn’t really shown anything yet.

  11. Kansas City Chiefs: Germain Ifedi, OT/G, Texas A&M
Kansas City could be moving on from its 2013 first-round choice. Eric Fisher not only has been terrible; he’s been a wuss as well, failing to play through simple injuries. Andy Reid loves to bolster the trenches, so I have to believe that he’ll target a lineman early.

Pick change; previously Jacoby Brissett, QB

  12. Houston Texans: Christian Hackenberg, QB, Penn State
Half a season shouldn’t drop a prospect a whole round, but my premise behind slotting Christian Hackenberg in the top five was that he would go that high if he put together a strong 2015 campaign. It doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now, so it’s realistic could drop to the second day. If so, I’m sure the Texans would take a chance on him, given that Bill O’Brien got the most out of him when he was at Penn State.

  13. Washington Redskins: Jacoby Brissett, QB, N.C. State
If Kirk Cousins struggles down the stretch, the Redskins could decide to blow everything up and start from scratch with a new quarterback. Of course, Cousins won’t have a chance to play well if his receivers keep dropping passes.

Pick change; previously Darian Thompson, S

  14. Miami Dolphins: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
The Dolphins have a disappointing defensive line, but their main issue on defense is their secondary, which has holes at both cornerback and safety.

  15. New Orleans Saints: William Jackson, CB, Houston
The Saints need to do whatever they can to get Brandon Browner out of the lineup. He might just be the worst cornerback in the NFL right now.

Pick change; previously Cameron Sutton, CB

  16. Oakland Raiders: Darian Thompson, S, Boise State
Despite his age, Charles Woodson is somehow playing like one of the top safeties in the NFL. As remarkable as this is, Woodson can’t last much longer, so here’s a future replacement.

Pick change; previously Vonn Bell, S

  17. St. Louis Rams: Maliek Collins, DT, Nebraska
The Rams signed Nick Fairley this past offseason, but Fairley will be a free agent again in March. If the front office doesn’t retain him, a second-day choice could be used on depth.

  18. Seattle Seahawks: Shawn Oakman, DE/DT, Baylor
No one should’ve been surprised that Shawn Oakman returned to school, given that he was widely viewed as a second-day project. In fact, one general manager has him as a fifth- to seventh-rounder. Oakman has loads of potential and athleticism, however, so if he can actually learn how to play football, he could sneak into the first round.

  19. Buffalo Bills: Sheldon Day, DT, Notre Dame
I mentioned Mario Williams as someone who hasn’t played up to his potential. The same can be said for Kyle Williams, who turns 33 this offseason. Considering that he’s due $7 million in 2016, the Bills could part ways with him.

Pick change; previously Emmanuel Ogbah, DE

  20. St. Louis Rams: Vonn Bell, S, Ohio State
The Rams will have some contract issues at safety next offseason, with Rodney McLeod and Mark Barron both set to hit the market.

Pick change; previously Su’a Cravens, S

  21. Indianapolis Colts: Darron Lee, DE/OLB, Ohio State
The Colts could use another pass-rusher. Trent Cole is old; Erik Walden is ineffective; Robert Mathis hasn’t been the same; and Bjoern Werner is a bust because he wasn’t a good fit in the scheme.

Pick change; previously Carl Nassib, DE/OLB

  22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Eddie Jackson, S, Alabama
Eddie Jackson struggled at corner, but has redefined himself as a decent safety. The Steelers could use him; they’ll need to address the safety position if Shamarko Thomas doesn’t pan out. Will Allen, 34 next offseason, won’t be around much longer.

Pick change; previously William Jackson, CB

  23. New York Giants: Jonathan Bullard, DE, Florida
Jerry Reese is never opposed to drafting pass-rushers, and he may do that early this spring, just because Jason Pierre-Paul is such a huge question mark going forward.

  24. Atlanta Falcons: Kendell Beckwith, LB, LSU
I don’t trust these Atlanta linebackers, outside of Brooks Reed, so the Falcons could opt to strengthen this group during the offseason.

  25. New York Jets: Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB, Georgia
Here’s a linebacker for the Jets, one who can rush the quarterback from the exterior, which is something New York has had issues with in the past few years.

Pick change; previously Darron Lee, DE/OLB

  26. Minnesota Vikings: Sebastian Tretola, G, Arkansas
T.J. Clemmings might be Minnesota’s left tackle of the future, but the front office will have to look for a long-term left guard as well.

Pick change; previously Cody Whitehair, G

  27. Arizona Cardinals: Dan Voltz, C, Wisconsin
The Cardinals haven’t been able to find a center they’ve been comfortable with for a while, so they could use an early draft pick to finally address this position.

Pick change; previously Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB

  28. Denver Broncos: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
Owen Daniels has been a failure thus far – save for his inexplicable performance at Indianapolis – prompting John Elway to trade for Vernon Davis. The problem is, Davis hasn’t played well for two years now. The Broncos could use a better tight end to properly replace Julius Thomas.

  29. Green Bay Packers: Tyler Matakevich, ILB, Temple
Clay Matthews has performed well at inside linebacker over the past year, but he would be so much better on the edge. The problem is that Green Bay doesn’t have another inside linebacker. Here’s a possible solution.

  30. Cincinnati Bengals: Cameron Sutton, CB, Tennessee
Pacman Jones is playing out of his mind right now – both literally and figuratively – but he’ll be a free agent following this season. Leon Hall will also be hitting the market in March. With so many expiring contracts at cornerback, the Bengals will have to address that position.

Pick change; previously KeiVarae Russell, CB

  31. Carolina Panthers: William Fuller, WR, Notre Dame
The Panthers’ receiving corps has been dreadful without Kelvin Benjamin, so giving Cam Newton another weapon while taking the top player available isn’t a bad idea.

Pick change; previously Germain Ifedi, OT

  32. New England Patriots: Desmond King, CB, Iowa
Perhaps Bill Belichick will use a second-round pick next year on an actual need, rather than a late-round safety. I don’t get how New England failed to find replacements for Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner.
