  1. Cleveland Browns: Travin Duval, WR, LSU
The Browns have to use an early-round pick on a receiver eventually, right? They can’t keep going with retreads.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

Pick change; previously Pharoh Cooper, WR

  2. Washington Redskins: Corey Robinson, WR, Notre Dame
Teams usually like complementing their new quarterback with a weapon or a blocker. The former makes sense here, as Pierre Garcon has never taken to Jay Gruden’s system.

  3. Oakland Raiders: Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State
The Raiders are fine now at left tackle with Donald Penn stationed there at the moment. However, Penn is entering his contract year, and given that he’ll turn 33 prior to the 2016 season, Oakland may want to find a long-term blind-side protector.

  4. Chicago Bears: Tyler Johnstone, OT, Oregon
The Bears drafted a center, but they need more than just one upgrade on their horrific offensive line. They need to consider someone better at right tackle than Jordan Mills, so why not another blocking Duck?

  5. San Francisco 49ers: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
Vernon Davis won’t be on the 49ers much longer, and former second-rounder Vance McDonald hasn’t shown any signs that he’s worthy of taking over as the starter.

  6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh
The Buccaneers are keeping Doug Martin around for another year, but unless he reverts back to his rookie form, he won’t be around much longer. A new running back will be needed.

  7. New York Jets: Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State
The Jets obviously need a quarterback because neither Ryan Fitzpatrick nor Geno Smith will be successful in 2015, and Bryce Petty is just a backup-caliber quarterback. The issue is that by signing Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, New York has effectively taken itself out of contention for Cardale Jones and perhaps even Christian Hackenberg.

I’m stealing this pick from Charlie’s mock, as I think it was a very logical one; Dak Prescott makes so much sense for Chan Gailey’s offense.

  8. Tennessee Titans: Kyle Murphy, OT, Stanford
The Titans had a choice of whether to bolster the offensive line or upgrade the receiving corps with their selection after choosing Marcus Mariota. Either would have been fine, but now they have to address the other spot. A tackle is needed across from Taylor Lewan.

  9. Jacksonville Jaguars: Max Tuerk, C, USC
The Jaguars signed Stefen Wisniewski, but that was just to a 1-year deal, so they may need a new center after this season.

  10. Kansas City Chiefs: Spencer Drango, OT, Baylor
From what I’m hearing, the Chiefs could move on from Eric Fisher after this season if he doesn’t improve his game. He has been very pedestrian thus far in the NFL.

Pick change; previously Jaylon Smith, LB

  11. Houston Texans: Jared Goff, QB, California
I’m not breaking any news here by saying the Texans need to upgrade the quarterback position. I imagine they’ll do everything in their power to trade up for Bill O’Brien’s former quarterback, but if they can’t do that, they can settle for someone like Jared Goff in the second round.

  12. St. Louis Rams: Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor
The Rams are stacked at defensive tackle right now, but Nick Fairley was signed on for just one season. Depth will be needed here if Fairley leaves next spring.

  13. Detroit Lions: Zack Sanchez, CB, Oklahoma
Rashean Mathis has been great for the Lions, but given that he turns 35 in late August, the Lions may have to search for a new starting cornerback soon.

Pick change; previously Spencer Drango, OT

  14. St. Louis Rams: Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia
The Rams will have some contract issues at safety next offseason, with Rodney McLeod and Mark Barron both set to hit the market.

  15. San Diego Chargers: Jack Allen, C, Michigan State
The Chargers said goodbye to Nick Hardwick this offseason. They’ll try Chris Watt out as a replacement, but the natural guard could struggle at the center position. Here’s a solution if that happens.

  16. Atlanta Falcons: Landon Turner, G, North Carolina
The guard position is another spot on the offensive line that the Falcons could have upgraded in the 2015 draft. They can do so with a second-day selection next April.

  17. New Orleans Saints: Josh Augusta, DE/DT, Missouri
There have been rumors about Cameron Jordan being traded, but the Saints didn’t bother addressing the defensive end position in the draft.

  18. Arizona Cardinals: Dominique Alexander, ILB, Oklahoma
The Cardinals need to do something about their inability to defend tight ends. It’s shocking that they avoided this position in the previous draft.

  19. Buffalo Bills: Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama
The Bills didn’t draft an inside linebacker early on because of Nigel Bradham. Unfortunately for them, Bradham will be entering free agency next March.

  20. Cincinnati Bengals: Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA
The Bengals spent their first two selections on offensive tackles when tackles of the defensive variety would’ve made more sense. Here’s someone Cincinnati could consider in the 2016 NFL Draft.

  21. Carolina Panthers: Germain Ifedi, OT, Texas A&M
The Panthers can’t possibly keep neglecting the offensive line. Sure, Cam Newton can scramble, but he needs some protection.

  22. Denver Broncos: Anthony Zettel, DE/DT, Penn State
The Broncos have a nice pair of starting defensive ends in Derek Wolfe and Malik Jackson, but both will be free agents after the 2015 season. It’ll be difficult to retain both.

  23. Dallas Cowboys: Alex Collins, RB, Arkansas
The Cowboys neglected the running back position, failing to find a replacement for DeMarco Murray. I imagine they’ll target a back early in the 2016 NFL Draft – perhaps someone from Jerry Jones’ alma mater.

  24. Miami Dolphins: Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn
With Cameron Wake entering the latter stages of his career and Olivier Vernon hitting free agency soon, the Dolphins may want to add another pass-rusher.

  25. New York Giants: Will Redmond, CB, Mississippi State
Several cornerbacks on the Giants’ roster, including Prince Amukamara and Jayron Hosley, have expiring contracts next spring. New York could spend an early selection in the 2016 NFL Draft on a replacement.

Pick change; previously Zack Sanchez, CB

  26. Pittsburgh Steelers: Rodney Hardrick, ILB, Oregon
Lawrence Timmons is going to be due close to $9 million in his contract season in 2016, so the Steelers may want to bring in some insurance for the inside linebacker spot.

  27. New England Patriots: Wayne Lyons, CB, Stanford
Perhaps Bill Belichick will use a second-round pick next year on an actual need, rather than a late-round safety. I don’t get how New England failed to find replacements for Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner.

  28. Minnesota Vikings: Vadal Alexander, G, LSU
T.J. Clemmings might be Minnesota’s left tackle of the future, but the front office will have to look for a long-term left guard as well.

  29. Baltimore Ravens: Eddie Jackson, CB/S, Alabama
Ozzie Newsome has shown that he has an affinity for Alabama prospects, so perhaps he’ll take a player from that school who can help fill the void across from Jimmy Smith.

  30. Green Bay Packers: Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State
Even if the Packers manage to move Clay Matthews back to outside linebacker, they’ll still need some depth at the position with Julius Peppers nearing retirement.

  31. Indianapolis Colts: Isaac Seumalo, C, Oregon State
Much like the Panthers, Indianapolis neglected its offensive line when it shouldn’t have. Andrew Luck is arguably the top quarterback in the NFL, but he needs at least somewhat decent protection.

  32. Seattle Seahawks: Nyeem Wartman, OLB, Penn State
The Seahawks lost their former Super Bowl MVP in free agency to the Raiders. I thought they’d address the position in this past draft, but they’ll have to wait until next offseason.
