    >
  1. Cleveland Browns: Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio State
The Browns lost Travis Benjamin to free agency. That left just Josh Gordon as a viable receiving option, and now it’s sounding like Gordon won’t be playing for a while in the wake of his recent failed drug test. Check out the Disaster Grades for more on Gordon and his new loser roommate.

  2. Tennessee Titans: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson
I actually thought about slotting Mackensie Alexander at No. 15 prior to Charlie Campbell’s report that Tennessee would be considering a tackle at that spot. Alexander makes sense here as well, given that the Titans have to find multiple upgrades for their poor secondary.

By the way, special thanks to Mackensie Alexander for publishing his Draft Diary on this site. It’s a great read if you haven’t checked it out yet.

Pick change; previously Germain Ifedi, OT

  3. Dallas Cowboys: Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor
The Cowboys have a huge hole across from Dez Bryant, and I’m sure they’d love to fill it with the ultra-athletic Corey Coleman, who could be considered a steal at this juncture.

Pick change; previously Eli Apple, CB

  4. San Diego Chargers: Chris Jones, DE/DT, Mississippi State
The Chargers obviously have to address the trenches, but they have to find upgrades on the defensive side as well. They were gashed against the run on a weakly basis, so obtaining help up front is essential.

Pick change; previously Hunter Henry, TE

  5. Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama
I imagine the Ravens would love to go with a cornerback or a left tackle at this juncture, but if Ozzie Newsome is planning on taking the best player overall, he may decide that’s Derrick Henry. Newsome has an affinity for Alabama players, and it’s not like the Ravens couldn’t use help at running back.

  6. San Francisco 49ers: Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State
The 49ers have to be desperate for a quarterback at this point, considering that they lost out on Jared Goff in the opening round. Connor Cook has more characteristics of a Chip Kelly quarterback than Paxton Lynch, so he would make sense for San Francisco in the second frame.

Pick change; previously Jason Spriggs, OT

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Cody Whitehair, G/OT, Kansas State
The Jaguars finally managed to find some help at tackle by signing Kelvin Beachum. They’ll have to add one more lineman on the interior. It was initially projected to be a center, but word is that Jacksonville plans on moving Brandon Linder to that spot. Thus, a guard is needed.

  8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia
The Buccaneers managed to re-sign Chris Conte, but they still need another safety to go along with a cornerback they’re surely bound to draft. Karl Joseph has some injury concerns, but he’s a great talent, so a team may consider him in the early stages of Round 2.

Pick change; previously Mackensie Alexander, CB

  9. New York Giants: Tyler Boyd, WR, Pittsburgh
The Giants are searching for any sort of impactful wideout, as they need a No. 2 receiver to start across from Odell Beckham Jr.

  10. Chicago Bears: Kamalei Correa, DE/OLB, Boise State
The Bears have made some solid upgrades to their front seven this offseason, but they could still use another edge rusher. Willie Young has stated that he wants to move to a team that runs a 4-3, while Lamarr Houston didn’t play all that well this past year.

  11. Miami Dolphins: Germain Ifedi, OT/G, Texas A&M
The Dolphins addressed their secondary in the first round, so they can opt for an interior offensive lineman at this spot. Upgrading the guard position is a must.

Pick change; previously Xavien Howard, CB

  12. Tennessee Titans: Taylor Decker, OT/G, Ohio State
This may seem odd, given that the Titans spent the 15th-overall choice in this mock on Ronnie Stanley, but they like Taylor Decker enough to draft him at the No. 15 spot, so I think they’d see too much value in him here to pass him up. Besides, Decker could play guard, which is a position that should be addressed.

  13. Oakland Raiders: Darian Thompson, S, Boise State
Darian Thompson had a rough Combine, but as Tony Pauline reported, Thompson was dealing with an illness. The Raiders like Thompson, as they need a safety to go along with the newly acquired Reggie Nelson.

  14. Tennessee Titans: Sterling Shepard, WR, Oklahoma
The Titans need help at receiver to go along with Dorial Green-Beckham, as Kendall Wright has proven to be a disappointment.

  15. Detroit Lions: Shilique Calhoun, DE/OLB, Michigan State
Here’s another defensive lineman for the Lions, as they’ll need someone to replace Jason Jones if he leaves via free agency. Jones is still available on the open market, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll be back.

Pick change; previously Shaq Lawson, DE

  16. New Orleans Saints: Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor
We all know how bad New Orleans’ secondary is, but part of the problem is that the team hasn’t gotten any sort of push up front. It’s especially dire at defensive tackle, where 80-year-old Kevin Williams was the team’s best player last year. Something absolutely needs to be done about that. Nick Fairley was signed, but that was just to a 1-year deal, so I don’t think he’ll affect this choice.

Pick change; previously Shilique Calhoun, DE

  17. Indianapolis Colts: Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky
Indianapolis can certainly use some young blood at outside linebacker, as Trent Cole doesn’t have many quality seasons remaining. There’s definitely value here with Noah Spence, who would be a first-round prospect if it weren’t for his off-the-field issues.

Pick change; previously Ryan Kelly, C

  18. Buffalo Bills: Yannick Ngakoue, DE/OLB, Maryland
Defensive end is a big need in the wake of Mario Williams’ lethargy and subsequent departure, so the Bills are expected to address the position early in the draft.

Pick change; previously Noah Spence, DE

  19. Atlanta Falcons: Justin Simmons, S, Boston College
William Moore was too injury-prone to rely upon, so the Falcons parted ways with him this offseason. All they have now are a couple of mediocre players at safety, so they could use a dynamic play-maker at the position.

  20. New York Jets: Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio State
As of this writing, Ryan Fitzpatrick is still on the open market. Charlie Campbell reported that the Jets have been scouting quarterbacks hard this offseason, perhaps well aware that some team would outbid them for Fitzpatrick (or knowing he’d ask for too much money). With that in mind, Cardale Jones is a strong possibility here. From the sound of it, Jones will be chosen in the second round, and he projects as a great fit for Chan Gailey’s offense.

  21. Houston Texans: Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame
Jaylon Smith is one of the top talents in this class, but he may never play in the NFL because of nerve damage in his knee. However, a team like the Texans could afford to take him, as they could try to use him once Brian Cushing moves on.

Pick change; previously Nick Martin, C

  22. Washington Redskins: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
The Redskins have needed help at cornerback for quite some time now. Perhaps they’ll finally fix the position in the 2016 NFL Draft, beginning with this pick. Kendall Fuller is a very talented cornerback, but is being pushed down by an injury (one team we’ve spoken to even has him in the third round.) A healthy Fuller would be a top-10 choice, so the Redskins are getting great value here.

  23. Minnesota Vikings: Kyler Fackrell, OLB, Utah State
Chad Greenway has returned, but only for one season. Regardless, the Vikings will have to find someone who can take over as a third starting linebacker.

  24. Cincinnati Bengals: Adolphus Washington, DE/DT, Ohio State
The Bengals need to bolster the interior of their defensive line, as Domata Peko is no longer the same player he once was. There should be a couple of defensive tackles to choose from toward the end of the first or second rounds.

Pick change; previously Andrew Billings, DT

  25. Seattle Seahawks: Robert Nkemdiche, DE/DT, Ole Miss
Seattle continues to improve its pass rush. Brandon Mebane signed with the Chargers this offseason, but he needed to be upgraded anyway. The Seahawks have taken chances on players with character concerns before, so I think they’d be willing to take a shot on Robert Nkemdiche.

Pick change; previously Nick Vigil, LB

  26. Green Bay Packers: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas
It’s doubtful that Hunter Henry makes it to Green Bay’s second-round choice, but I just couldn’t fit him in elsewhere. The Packers would probably consider him, as an upgrade at tight end is needed.

Pick change; previously Blake Martinez, LB

  27. Pittsburgh Steelers: Artie Burns, CB, Miami
Pittsburgh’s current status at cornerback is so dire that it could prompt the front office to spend a first-round selection on the position for the first time in a long while. If the Steelers don’t, then they’ll probably take one in the second frame.

Pick change; previously Bronson Kaufusi, DE/DT

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Leonte Carroo, WR, Rutgers
The Chiefs need a capable receiver besides Jeremy Maclin. When Maclin left the game against the Chargers, the offense looked pretty lost for a while.

Pick change; previously Sterling Shepard, WR

  29. New England Patriots: Bronson Kaufusi, DE/DT, BYU
The Patriots shocked everyone by cutting Dominique Easley. They now have a need for a pass-rushing interior defensive lineman.

Pick change; previously Alex McCalister, DE/OLB

  30. New England Patriots: Kenneth Dixon, RB, Louisiana Tech
LeGarrette Blount has re-signed, but for only one year. Bill Belichick will probably try to find someone to pair with Dion Lewis for the long haul.

  31. Carolina Panthers: Su’a Cravens, S/LB, USC
Per our Pro Day Results page, Tony Pauline reported that the Panthers have scary levels of interest in Su’a Cravens. I initially was confused, given that Carolina drafted a similar-type player last year in Shaq Thompson. However, Thompson is more linebacker, while Cravens is more of a safety, so it would make sense for the team to have two interchangeable linebacker-safety hybrids.

Pick change; previously Sheldon Day, DT

  32. Denver Broncos: Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana
The Broncos signed Russell Okung, but he’s a risky proposition because of his health issues. Right tackle is also a need, so someone like Jason Spriggs makes a ton of sense at the end of Round 2.

Pick change; previously Braxton Miller, WR
