  1. Cleveland Browns: Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor
The Browns aren’t exactly stable at receiver. Josh Gordon is coming back, and while all indications are that he’s turned his life around, Cleveland can’t completely count on him. Travis Benjamin, meanwhile, is an impending free agent.

Pick change; previously Michael Thomas, WR

  2. Tennessee Titans: Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama
The Titans struggled to run the ball all year, as all of their running backs have disappointed. They’ll have to explore other options at the position. Luckily, Derrick Henry should be available atop Round 2.

  3. Dallas Cowboys: Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State
Senior Bowl coaches often grab a player or three that they took a close look at in Mobile. Thus, Braxton Miller is in play at this juncture. Miller had an exceptional performance in the Senior Bowl, and Dallas has a huge need at receiver across from Dez Bryant.

  4. San Diego Chargers: Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana
The Chargers couldn’t get Laremy Tunsil in the first round, so they’ll have to add a blocker at this spot. Philip Rivers’ pass protection was a mess this past year, and it could be worse going forward with Joseph Barksdale bound to hit free agency. Meanwhile, blind-side protector King Dunlap wasn’t able to stay in the lineup, thanks to numerous injuries. San Diego absolutely has to do something about its horrendous blocking.

Pick change; previously Shon Coleman, OT

  5. Baltimore Ravens: Josh Doctson, WR, TCU
Breshad Perriman didn’t even play last year, while Steve Smith is going to try to return from a torn Achilles. There are nothing but question marks in Baltimore’s receiving corps, so I could see the Ravens pulling the trigger on a wideout in the first couple of rounds.

  6. San Francisco 49ers: Vadal Alexander, G, LSU
The 49ers have to improve their woeful offensive line, and the main area of focus is the guard position. It was a weak point last year, and it’s only going to get worse with Alex Boone moving on.

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor
Sen’Derrick Marks has dealt with injuries lately, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Jaguars obtained another interior pass-rusher during the second day of the 2016 NFL Draft. They’re getting ridiculous value with Andrew Billings, whom some teams have soured on for some reason.

  8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Keanu Neal, S, Florida
It’s sad times when Chris Conte is your top safety. Conte is heading for free agency anyway, so the Buccaneers need to find a couple of upgrades at safety. I’m sure they’d love to land Keanu Neal, whom some teams believe will be drafted late in the first round.

  9. New York Giants: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
Whether it was Michael Strahan, or Osi Umenyiora, or Justin Tuck, or a two-handed Jason Pierre-Paul, the Giants always had a terrific pass rush. That’s not the case anymore, as the Giants finished in the bottom five in terms of sacks.

By the way, Shaq Lawson has been appearing in the first round of many other mock drafts, but multiple teams we’ve spoken to have Lawson pegged as a second-day prospect.

Pick change; previously Kevin Dodd, DE

  10. Chicago Bears: Vernon Butler, DE/DT, Louisiana Tech
The Bears need as much defensive help as possible as they continue to transition into their new 3-4 scheme. The defensive line is comprised of mediocre players, at best, so this is an area the front office will have to upgrade this offseason.

  11. Miami Dolphins: Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State
The Dolphins’ group of cornerbacks were a train wreck last season. I could really see them spending back-to-back selections on corners to open the 2016 NFL Draft if the value is right – which it happens to be in this scenario.

Pick change; previously Shaq Lawson, DE

  12. Los Angeles Rams: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas
Jared Cook has been discussed as a potential cap casualty. Well, it’s about time. Cook has stolen countless millions from the Rams’ organization. Cutting ties with one of the laziest players in the NFL has been long overdue.

  13. Oakland Raiders: Shon Coleman, OT, Auburn
Oakland is another team whose draft plans appear to be muddled right now. Donald Penn has served as a stout blind-side protector for the Raiders over the past few seasons, but he’s a 33-year-old free agent. He’ll need to be replaced if he’s not brought back.

Pick change; previously Jason Spriggs, OT

  14. Los Angeles Rams: Su’a Cravens, S/LB, USC
Jeff Fisher has always shown an affinity for USC players, and he may think that Su’a Cravens could help his defense, which could lose a couple of safeties to free agency this offseason.

  15. Detroit Lions: William Fuller, WR, Notre Dame
Calvin Johnson has announced his retirement, so unless the Lions can lure him back with a mega contract, they’ll have to find a new starting receiver to play across from Golden Tate.

Pick change; previously Kenny Lawler, WR

  16. New Orleans Saints: Bronson Kaufusi, DE, BYU
The Saints can continue to upgrade their horrible defensive line, as they really don’t have any edge rushers of note after Cameron Jordan. In a division comprised of Cam Newton, Matt Ryan and Jameis Winston, New Orleans will have to improve its ability to get to the quarterback.

  17. Indianapolis Colts: Nick Martin, C, Notre Dame
The Colts need to stop screwing around and fix Andrew Luck’s offensive line, which has been an abomination for far too long. Its performance throughout this past season has been an embarrassment. The tackles are fine, but every position on the interior has to be upgraded.

  18. Buffalo Bills: Sterling Shepard, WR, Oklahoma
The Bills have no downfield weapons outside of Sammy Watkins. Robert Woods is the No. 2 receiver, and he’s pretty much the definition of pedestrian, so a second-day selection could be used on a wideout.

  19. Atlanta Falcons: Kenny Lawler, WR, California
The Falcons will have to target a receiver early; they’re desperate to find weapons for Matt Ryan, who had no one to throw to last year outside of Julio Jones.

Pick change; previously William Fuller, WR

  20. New York Jets: Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State
The Broncos really like Dak Prescott, so if the Jets are interested, they’ll have to select him with this pick. New York has been scouting quarterbacks aggressively this offseason, as Bryce Petty is believed to just be a backup-caliber player. Prescott, who was a big winner at the Senior Bowl, fits into Chan Gailey’s system perfectly.

Pick change; previously Xavien Howard, CB

  21. Houston Texans: Christian Hackenberg, QB, Penn State
Teams expect Christian Hackenberg to be chosen in the latter half of the second round. I’m sure the Texans would take a chance on him, given that Bill O’Brien got the most out of him when he was at Penn State.

  22. Washington Redskins: Will Redmond, CB, Mississippi State
The Redskins obviously have to address their secondary. There’s a hole at one of the cornerback positions across from Bashaud Breeland.

  23. Minnesota Vikings: Denver Kirkland, G/OT, Arkansas
T.J. Clemmings might be Minnesota’s left tackle of the future, but the front office will have to look for a long-term left guard as well.

  24. Cincinnati Bengals: Tyler Boyd, WR, Pittsburgh
With Marvin Jones headed into free agency, the Bengals could be searching for a new No. 2 receiver this offseason. Tyler Boyd has some off-the-field concerns, but Cincinnati won’t care about those.

  25. Seattle Seahawks: Maliek Collins, DT, Nebraska
The Seahawks didn’t get much of an interior pass rush going this past season, as Brandon Mebane didn’t appear to be the same player. They may spend an early pick on a defensive tackle.

  26. Green Bay Packers: Austin Hooper, TE, Stanford
The Packers could stand to add another weapon for Aaron Rodgers. Richard Rodgers caught a Hail Mary at Detroit, but he’s slow and pretty mediocre.

  27. Pittsburgh Steelers: Darian Thompson, S, Boise State
The Steelers are going to have a hole at one of the safety spots next year. Michael Mitchell has played well, but Will Allen is a 34-year-old impending free agent. Shamarko Thomas can’t get on the field, so I’m not sure he’ll be in Pittsburgh’s future plans if the team can obtain a talented safety early in the 2016 NFL Draft.

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Kentrell Brothers, LB, Missouri
Derrick Johnson’s return to the lineup has been huge for Kansas City’s defense, but the team has a weakness right next to Johnson. Also, it needs to be considered that Johnson just turned 33, so he doesn’t have many dominant years left.

  29. New England Patriots: Tyler Matakevich, ILB, Temple
The Patriots could use another linebacker to go along with Dont’a Hightower and Jamie Collins. The defense was so much worse when one of them was out of the lineup.

  30. Arizona Cardinals: Shilique Calhoun, DE/OLB, Michigan State
The Cardinals have lacked a potent edge rusher for quite a while, so here’s their chance to upgrade the position (if they plan on using Kevin Dodd on the defensive line).

  31. Carolina Panthers: Austin Johnson, DT, Penn State
The Panthers could use some interior defensive line depth, especially with some contracts expiring soon.

  32. Denver Broncos: Xavien Howard, CB, Baylor
The Broncos would like Dak Prescott here, but he’s no longer on the board. Adding a cornerback is an alternative; Aqib Talib is a suspension waiting to happen, while Bradley Roby may move to safety sometime soon.

Pick change; previously Dak Prescott, QB
