  1. Tennessee Titans: Jalen Mills, S, LSU
The Titans found some help for Marcus Mariota. Now, it’s time to upgrade the defense. The secondary in particular needs some work, as Tennessee needs better safety play to beat Andrew Luck.

  2. Cleveland Browns: Germain Ifedi, OT/G, Texas A&M
Negotiations between the Browns and Mitchell Schwartz have not gone well, so if he leaves via free agency, the Browns will obviously need to find a new right tackle to block for their new quarterback.

Pick change; previously Kamalei Correa, DE/OLB

  3. San Diego Chargers: Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama
The Chargers said goodbye to Nick Hardwick this offseason. They’ve tried Chris Watt out as a replacement, but because he’s a natural guard at the center position, he was woeful in 2015 before landing on injured reserve. Here’s a solution.

  4. Dallas Cowboys: Alex Collins, RB, Arkansas
Darren McFadden looked good this past season, but the Cowboys can’t really count on him for the long term. Here’s their running back of the future.

  5. San Francisco 49ers: De’Runnya Wilson, WR, Mississippi State
The 49ers wasted money on Torrey Smith, while Anquan Boldin doesn’t have much left. A new receiver is desperately needed.

  6. Jacksonville Jaguars: Beniquez Brown, ILB, Mississippi State
Paul Posluszny used to be a quality player, but he has slowed down recently. The Jaguars will have to upgrade him this offseason.

  7. Baltimore Ravens: Artie Burns, CB, Miami
The Ravens wanted Jalen Ramsey in the first round, but they’ll have to settle for a lesser defensive back on the second day of the draft to fix one of their top needs.

Pick change; previously Scooby Wright, LB

  8. New York Giants: Kenneth Dixon, RB, Louisiana Tech
Tom Coughlin figured out that going with a rotation of Rashad Jennings and Shane Vereen worked best, but it was already too late. It’s hard to count on Jennings for the long term, however, so here’s a potential running back of the future.

  9. Chicago Bears: Cardale Jones, QB, Ohio State
Jay Cutler will probably be around for just one more year, so the Bears need to think about using an early draft choice on a successor.

  10. Miami Dolphins: Sheldon Day, DE/DT, Notre Dame
I wanted to slot Sheldon Day much earlier than this, but I had trouble fitting him in. This seems like a nice spot for him though, as the Dolphins will need defensive end help if Olivier Vernon isn’t re-signed.

Pick change; previously Deion Jones, LB

  11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jeremy Cash, S, Duke
It’s sad times when Chris Conte is your top safety. The Buccaneers absolutely have to do something about this.

  12. Oakland Raiders: Deion Jones, LB, LSU
I’ve mocked Jaylon Smith to the Raiders on several occasions, but he may not be appealing now in the wake of his knee injury. Regardless, a linebacker upgrade is needed.

Pick change; previously Vonn Bell, S

  13. Los Angeles Rams: Connor Cook, QB, Michigan State
Connor Cook’s draft stock has plummeted. Prior to this season, there were only concerns about his inconsistency and accuracy. Now, teams have been telling us that he has some glaring character issues. Some believe he’s a Jimmy Clausen-type diva and that he’s scared of competition, as evidenced when he inexplicably declined to participate in the Senior Bowl. Cook may fall to Round 3, but the Rams have taken chances on prospects with character flaws, so they could draft him to perhaps fill the void they have at quarterback.

  14. Philadelphia Eagles: William Jackson, CB, Houston
The Eagles will give Byron Maxwell one more chance, but they’ll have to spend some sort of an early- or mid-round draft choice on a cornerback just in case the former Seahawk struggles again.

Pick change; previously Willie Beavers, OT

  15. New Orleans Saints: Nick Vigil, LB, Utah State
The Saints continue to address the defense, which has holes everywhere. This includes the linebacking corps, where help is needed next to Stephone Anthony.

Pick change; previously Sterling Shepard, WR

  16. Philadelphia Eagles: Jayron Kearse, S, Clemson
The Eagles have spent tons of money re-signing players that they may not be able to keep some of their other free agents, including Walter Thurmond. If Thurmond leaves, Philadelphia will have to find a new safety.

  17. Buffalo Bills: Carl Nassib, DE, Penn State
One of the reasons Buffalo’s defense declined this year was the poor play of Mario Williams. It’s difficult to imagine him being back, so here’s a replacement.

  18. Atlanta Falcons: Jack Allen, C, Michigan State
There were several reasons why Matt Ryan struggled this past season. The offensive line was one – specifically, the center position, which was a major liability.

  19. Indianapolis Colts: Kamalei Correa, DE/OLB, Boise State
The Colts have several aging pass-rushers, so they should think about bringing in some young blood at the position.

Pick change; previously Yannick Ngakoue, DE/OLB

  20. New York Jets: Jonathan Williams, RB, Arkansas
Chris Ivory has slowed down following a hot start. He’s an impending free agent in March, so the Jets may have to use a second-day selection on a running back.

Pick change; previously Paul Perkins, RB

  21. Washington Redskins: Graham Glasgow, C, Michigan
One of the reasons Washington’s running game has been so erratic has been because the team has gotten poor play out of its center. This is the primary position the Redskins need to upgrade up front.

  22. Houston Texans: Jalin Marshall, WR, Ohio State
It’s amazing that DeAndre Hopkins is so productive, considering that there’s no one drawing attention across from him. The Texans want that to change.

  23. Minnesota Vikings: Blake Martinez, LB, Stanford
Chad Greenway told the media that he wants to play one more year. His play has fallen off, so the Vikings couldn’t use him much longer as a starter anyway. Drafting a replacement this offseason would be a great idea, as Minnesota could groom that player to take over in 2017.

Pick change; previously Nick Vigil, LB

  24. Cincinnati Bengals: Zack Sanchez, CB, Oklahoma
Pacman Jones was terrific this past season, but with he and Leon Hall both older than 30, the Bengals will have to find some young blood at cornerback.

  25. Green Bay Packers: Paul Perkins, RB, UCLA
Eddie Lacy was so fat last year that the Packers want him to lose 30 pounds this offseason. Meanwhile, James Starks is an impending free agent. The Packers will be targeting a running back in the middle rounds.

Pick change; previously Jonathan Williams, RB

  26. Pittsburgh Steelers: Yannick Ngakoue, DE/OLB, Maryland
Jarvis Jones and Alvin Dupree haven’t exactly proven themselves, while James Harrison won’t be around much longer. Another edge rusher could be acquired.

Pick change; previously William Jackson, CB

  27. Seattle Seahawks: Deiondre’ Hall, CB, Northern Iowa
Seattle’s latest mid-round tall cornerback, Deiondre’ Hall could help an ailing secondary that couldn’t stop Cam Newton in the divisional round.

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Leonte Carroo, WR, Rutgers
The Chiefs need a receiver besides Jeremy Maclin. When Maclin left the game against the Chargers, the offense looked pretty lost for a while.

  29. New England Patriots: C.J. Prosise, RB, Notre Dame
It doesn’t seem like Bill Belichick wants to count on LeGarrette Blount, so he’ll probably try to find someone to pair with Dion Lewis.

  30. Arizona Cardinals: Jeff Driskel, QB, Louisiana Tech
Jeff Driskel seems like he’d fit well into Bruce Arians’ offense. Arians will have to look for a young quarterback to eventually supplant Carson Palmer, who had an epic meltdown in the playoffs.

Pick change; previously T.J. Green, S

  31. Carolina Panthers: Cody Whitehair, G/OT, Kansas State
Cody Whitehair is probably better as a guard, but he can play tackle as well. That’s a huge problem area for the Panthers, as Michael Oher and Mike Remmers were exposed in the Super Bowl.

Pick change; previously Willie Henry, DT

  32. Denver Broncos: Scooby Wright, LB, Arizona
The Broncos recently re-signed Derek Wolfe. He’s one of the many free agents they have this offseason. Both of their starting inside linebackers, Brandon Marshall and Danny Trevathan, happen to be hitting the market over the next couple of years. It’ll be difficult to retain both, so here’s a replacement if one leaves.

Pick change; previously Blake Martinez, LB
