Last update: Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013. Major changes in all 3 rounds.
Next update: Next week. Follow me @walterfootball for updates.

The order of this 2014 NFL Mock Draft is based on my NFL Power Rankings.

*** THIS IS A LIVE 2014 NFL MOCK DRAFT. PICKS ARE BEING POSTED NOW. TO SEE PREVIOUS VERSIONS, CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVED 2014 NFL MOCK DRAFT SECTION. FOLLOW @walterfootball FOR UPDATES ***

  1. Atlanta Falcons: Kelcy Quarles, DT, South Carolina
Here’s more front seven help, as the Falcons need to concentrate on bolstering their pass rush this offseason.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

Pick change; previously Jeremiah Attaochu, DE/OLB

  2. Jacksonville Jaguars: Calvin Barnett, DT, Oklahoma State
The Jaguars need help everywhere on defense, including up front, where they don’t have much of an interior pass rush. It’ll only get worse with Sen’Derrick Marks hitting free agency.

    Pick change; previously Ty Zimmerman

  3. Houston Texans: Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford
The Texans really wanted to add some inside linebackers in the 2013 NFL Draft, but never got around to it (Arthur Brown was snagged off the board right before they picked in Round 2). They remain pretty thin at the position, especially in the wake of yet another injury to Brian Cushing.

  4. Minnesota Vikings: Ben Gardner, DE, Stanford
Jared Allen has been a great pass-rusher for Minnesota for a very long time, but his contract is expiring this March. Considering that he has only a couple more effective years in his career, he’ll likely want to move on to a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Pick change; previously Zack Martin, G/OT

  5. Washington Redskins: Chris Borland, ILB, Wisconsin
ESPN loves talking up London Fletcher by saying he’s still great, but he can barely move. He’s one of the reasons the Redskins are so inept on defense.

Pick change; previously Brandon Coleman, WR

  6. New York Jets: Ka’Deem Carey, RB, Arizona
Here’s another offensive upgrade. The Jets could use a game-breaking threat coming out of the backfield.

Pick change; previously Darqueze Dennard, CB

  7. Oakland Raiders: Zack Martin, G/OT, Notre Dame
The Raiders need multiple upgrades on their offensive line. Lucas Nix might be the worst starting guard in the NFL, so he needs to be replaced.

Pick change; previously Donte Moncrief, WR

  8. New York Giants: Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State
The Giants have shown that they’ll draft a talented player with sketchy issues (Damontre Moore). Bradley Roby is a highly skilled cornerback, but he’s been awful this year. New York could use some help at cornerback, so Roby is worth a shot at this juncture.

  9. Cleveland Browns: Deone Bucannon, S, Washington State
Here’s some secondary help for the Browns, who could use someone to challenge Tashaun Gipson at safety.

  10. Buffalo Bills: Xavier Grimble, TE, USC
E.J. Manuel, who prefers checking down, would love having an upgrade at tight end at his disposal.

  11. New York Jets: Ty Zimmerman, S, Kansas State
The Jets have major problems at safety, as neither Antonio Allen nor Dawan Landry should be starting. The Ed Reed signing won’t help.

Pick change; previously Corey Moore, S

  12. Miami Dolphins: Will Sutton, DE/DT, Arizona State
Both Randy Starks and Paul Soliai are impending free agents. The type of defensive tackle Miami obtains obviously depends on which one leaves.

  13. San Diego Chargers: Taylor Hart, DE/DT, Oregon
The Chargers have a solid starting front line on defense, but they don’t have much depth.

  14. St. Louis Rams: A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama
The Rams should think about drafting a quarterback on Day 2 just in case Sam Bradford continues to be mediocre (and injury-prone).

Pick change; previously Aaron Murray, QB

  15. Cleveland Browns: Charles Sims, RB, West Virginia
The Browns apparently plan on courting Ben Tate in free agency, but what if he never hits the market or chooses to sign elsewhere?

Pick change; previously Ka’Deem Carey, RB

  16. Baltimore Ravens: Russell Bodine, C, North Carolina
Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and others are gone, but perhaps the player the Ravens miss most is Matt Birk. His replacements at center have been horrible. Almost anyone would be an upgrade.

  17. Green Bay Packers: Jeremiah Attaochu, DE/OLB, Georgia Tech
Nick Perry finally started playing well just before getting hurt. The Packers still need depth behind Perry and Clay Matthews.

Pick change; previously Morgan Breslin, DE/OLB

  18. Chicago Bears: Loucheiz Purifoy, CB, Florida
The Bears will have to address their two cornerback positions next offseason, as Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings both have expiring contracts.

Pick change; previously A.J. McCarron, QB

  19. Philadelphia Eagles: Morgan Breslin, DE/OLB, USC
Brandon Graham has predictably transitioned into the 3-4 quite poorly. Connor Barwin has been a mild disappointment. The Eagles need help at outside linebacker.

Pick change; previously Trevor Reilly, DE/OLB

  20. Arizona Cardinals: Stephen Morris, QB, Miami
Carson Palmer has played better lately, but he’s obviously not the long-term solution. Arizona can develop Stephen Morris for a couple of seasons.

Pick change; previously Seantrel Henderson, QB

  21. San Francisco 49ers: Daniel McCullers, NT, Tennessee
The 49ers don’t need a legitimate nose tackle to run their defense, but having one definitely wouldn’t hurt.

  22. Dallas Cowboys: Anthony Steen, G, Alabama
The Cowboys are so desperate at guard that they lured Brian Waters out of semi-retirement. Waters is now out for the year. So much for that.

  23. Detroit Lions: Quandre Diggs, CB, Texas
The Lions have to consider a cornerback early in the 2014 NFL Draft if they don’t sign one in free agency. They looked helpless against Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown.

  24. Cincinnati Bengals: Deandre Coleman, DT, California
Domata Peko, who will be entering his contract season in 2014, has not performed well this year. Meanwhile, Devon Still, a 2012 second-rounder, has shown nothing thus far.

Pick change; previously Calvin Barnett, DT

  25. Indianapolis Colts: Brandon Coleman, WR, Rutgers
We now see what Indianapolis’ offense looks like without Reggie Wayne. Wayne will be back next year, but he won’t be around forever. The Colts need a long-term solution at wideout to go along with T.Y. Hilton.

Pick change; previously Odell Beckham, WR

  26. San Francisco 49ers: Trevor Reilly, DE/OLB, Utah
The 49ers may consider spending an early pick on a pass-rusher. Aldon Smith, who spent some time in rehab, has a pretty cloudy future with numerous off-the-field issues. San Francisco needs to protect itself in case Smith can’t stay out of trouble.

Pick change; previously Michael Sam, DE/OLB

  27. New England Patriots: DaQuan Jones, NT, Penn State
Perhaps this is an overreaction pick, but Vince Wilfork will find it difficult to come back from a torn Achilles at his size and age.

  28. Carolina Panthers: De’Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon
Cam Newton has made huge improvements this year, but he could still really benefit from a potent, pass-catching weapon coming out of the backfield.

  29. Kansas City Chiefs: Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss
The Chiefs need another outside receiver to start across from Dwayne Bowe.

Pick change; previously Jared Abbrederis, WR

  30. New Orleans Saints: Odell Beckham, WR, LSU
The Saints could use another receiver. Marques Colston has disappointed this season, yet he’s still New Orleans’ top option by a wide margin.

Pick change; previously Jeoffrey Pagan, DE/DT

  31. Denver Broncos: Dri Archer, RB/WR, Kent State
The Broncos have a dynamic offense, but one thing they don’t have is a Darren Sproles-type back coming out of the backfield. Dri Archer, who could run a high 4.2 at the Combine, could fill that role.

Pick change; previously Chris Borland, ILB

  32. Minnesota Vikings: Jared Abbrederis, WR, Wisconsin
Greg Jennings has been a huge disappointment in Minnesota, so the Vikings may draft a receiver relatively early.

Pick change; previously Ego Ferguson, DT
